  1. Hi there, Welcome to renotalk! What i did the previous time was to source around renotalk as well as read thru some magazines (Home & Design, Square Rooms, Etc) for ID contacts and ideas. Once that was done, i went 'painstakely' to meet up with them one by one. You can imagine travelling all around Singapore, very tiring!! Guess you have to let them know before hand your ideas (if any) and they will be able to advise as well as sharing their ideas. Be warned though, some IDs can be very pushy and some can sit there, look at you, keep mum for the whole session. Be careful of any hidden costs as well - the most impt thing for me is i managed to find an ID whom i'm comfortable with (Meaning he can listen and fulfill my requirements, push his workers to meet deadline and help me save costs). I've done mine under summit design, if you want the contact of my ID, let me know Cheers!!
  2. Lol, nope we don't cook often at home, guess that's why it's not much of a worry for us. I could suggest getting a good hood to absorb the smoke.

  5. Hello all! Finally moved into the new house and everything seems to be in place amid some minor touch ups which is a norm. Took some time for me to put in the pictures and i lost my precious camera in the midst of the reno progress so i have limited pics to show esp the mid part of the reno.   8. Alrighty, it has been a while since my last post. Here's a brief timeline of what has been going on the last couple of weeks. 30th Dec - 2nd Appointment (House officially ours) 30th Dec - Hacking started 31st Dec - Hacking Day 2 (Completion) 2nd Jan - Debris Cleared and Delivery of tiles 4th Jan - Tiling work started (Common Toilet, Master Toilet and Living Room) 6th Jan - Tiling work (Wall Tiles for Common & Master Toilet 90% up) (Floor Tiles for Living Room 35% done) 9th Jan - Tiling work (Tiling (Wall + Floor) for master toilet completed) (Study area Tiles up left skirting) (Living Room 40% done) Pictures will be uploaded pretty soon.
