  1. Hi I think that steamer should be built in on top of the oven but than your built in oven should be lower as the opening of door of the steamer will be easily . If put too high you may have problem opening the door of the steamer . KM
  2. Hi You may consider getting a built in oven as cooking space is larger than a built in microwave . As for built in microwave you need to also consider the cooking space (inner) and the location as if built in you need to put around your body wrist area as if you out higher , when open of the door and taking out food will be a problem . As most oven now also come with microwave function you may consider it too . KM

  5. Hi , For the position of oven is all depends on the design , the hob (Glass or stainless steel) , and location for safety. Some people put beside the fridge ( Is call Tall unit cabinet ) but you need at least 10 to 15 cm allowance between the fridge . And now most oven now comes with a features that blow out hot air so your cabinet will not be hot and cool the oven down . And for some the put right below the stove is because space limited . As long the hob is stainless steel and not tempered glass is ok but the sad point is while your cooking and baking at the same time hot air will travel to your legs . And if there's children around must be carful. For tall units is easily to open in standing position and some standing units cabinet can even construct a pull out tray or drawer to put your hot stuff. if still feel uncomfortable you may consider building a island unit or a built in oven box (which you need to put on a stable table. ) Thanks KM
  6. Hi , Most construction of power point is behind the oven (mostly top right or left. ) But now most construction built a power point outside and run a wire into the cabinet than use a connector to joint the wire from the oven (which is not advisable) . As most cabinet is slightly more than 600mm as oven in built depth is not yet 600mm so is quite safe. My oven plug is inside the cabinet so is ok KM
  7. Hi kitchen matters, would like to ask you to suggest some suitable ovens for my budget and needs.

I'm looking for a built-in oven that is within $500-650 with fan and baked well with cookies.Basically, what i bake is cookies, cakes, pies and pizza occasionally. And what should i do if i buy a cabinet just for the oven. How should i set up the oven.

  10. Hi AngryGrome ; Go for oven that have 5-6 cooking programs , Example Top and Bottom heat , Top and Bottom heat with fan , Grill , Grill with fan , bottom heat When installing an oven is best to consider a few stuff ++ Putting an oven on a standing body position for easy acess or to prevent children from touching ++ Avoid putting an glass hob direct on top an oven as the heat may damper the glass hob ( Not advisable ) ++ Try avoid putting near a fridge ++ Be sure have the electrical point near the oven as most oven now wire comes with 0.9 meter ( not advisable to joint wire to wire ) Cheers KM

  12. Hi orion72 , No worries , Just remember to pre heat your oven once a month ( using top and bottom heat with fan and temp around 220 degree for about 15 to 20 mins. To protect the heating element. KM
  13. Hi Bhua ; The effectiveness of a steam oven is greater than steaming steamer on the hob. Steam ovens retain vitamins and mineral salts in the food. You can steam separate food types together with no flavour contamination, so vegetables and puddings can be steamed together simultaneously in one appliance making steam ovens convenient and economic. The steam cooking function works by using accessories with telescopic runners, a full-width stainless steel steam tray with glass lid that is filled with up to 400ml of water and then placed in the cavity. so sorry for the delay KM
  14. Hi sgdstuff, For cut out size , you may consider : W : 558mm , H : 585mm , D:600mm Above is for 60 cm built in oven and the above is cut out size . KM
  15. Hi Bhua ; so sorry for the late reply , Been busy doing some projects . BTW Blombery is by Casa agent . They have done quite a few projects in Spore and there're prices are quite EX . For purchasing an oven , go for your needs , as some of my clients or friends purchase some ovens but did not use the feature at all or some just go for looks - i mean design . As most Built In ovens comes with Min. 5 cooking programs which can do wonders . I found out that Ariston FZ series ovens are quite good , Model is FZ 61.1 IX as it comes with 6 cooking programs , ventalation ( which will cools down the oven once it reach a certain Temp. as it will protect your cabinet Or you may consider Brandt or Bosch .
