Hi Prissypris, As most oven now comes with addition programs that we mostly dont use or one day you may need it Most oven now do comes with at least 5 cooking progam till 7 , 8 , 9 10 programs . Some even come with Pre set cooking program ( as it make it easily for people to just set and cook or bake But some still prefer to use their own cooking time , cooking programs to moniter their own food As for different brands , most of them now the difference is the looks of the oven , the features , the free cooking class ( example Ariston , Indesit ) , after sales service and spare parts As for Turbo brand , is been in the market for quite some time and now their having some promotion too ( i heard ) KM

Hi powder blue ; Most built in oven comes with Tangential ventalation ( above the oven door theres a gap that once the oven reaches a certain Temp. inside the oven it will blow out the hot air so the inside of the oven cabinet will not be hot ) Getting a Built In Oven now at least the construction of the cabinet and space is done , if not in future if you purchase the Built in oven , there will be space problem as all the space of the cabinet is all pre plan , even through there some places sell stand alone cabinet for oven but it may not suit the design KM

Hi TIA. sorry for the late reply ; If considering Electrolux , just take note that EOB 31002 X comes with Auto cut off timer bt the another does not comes with it ( it means that once alarm , you need to off the oven manuel ) As for Ariston model , it does come with Auto cut off timer and a LED panel to indicate the Temp. & time . The only cons is that the oven door maybe a bit hot once it reachs a certain Temp. ( As is made of Tempered Glass ) If your planning to install under the Hob , if theres children around , when they touches the door , it may be a bit hot ( actually is the same for Stainless Steel Door So if possible , install at a tall cabinet ( as open the oven door will be easily too . As Ariston ICE model is Discont , you may consider FZ 61.1 IX as it comes with bottom heat ( Pizza function ) but it does not comes with cut off timer . The oven door also come with finger print proof . And if purchase from Mayer Marketing , it also comes with 2 baking lesson too. KM

Hi Berry10. Greetings You may consider TekaHA 900 , Smeg , Ariston MB 91.2 IX . And for the heating element, actually i heard outside those selling spare parts do sell it . I check with my friend as he purchase once before . KM

Hi Joseeng ; greetings is actually fine as long not to near. Some designer built a plank infront of the PUB pipe but the oven may not fit in . As now , most brand oven comes with tangential ventalation - it will blow out hot air once the oven reach a certain Temp. thanks alot KM

Hi msmine, sorry for the late reply , Brandt model comes with bottom heat ( which can do Kui La Pic ) & Pizza . It can brown or crisp the food . As both are quite same . Is just down to the design of the Oven too ( Example Knobs , Oven handle ) Electrolux may have a upper hand So is a Tie But for cooking program wise i think Brandt is quite a good buy and if i not mistaken is $100 cheaper than Electrolux ( retail price ) But go and check with those electrical dealers , can get it cheaper And for the brandt model you may add the self clean panels ( It will absob the oil when grilling , it will min. the cleaning only )in future too ( optional ) And it comes with 2 racks and one 20mm deep tray . So you will save on the extra rack . And if bake or grill non stop for 10 hrs it will shut off it self for safety reason . sorry for the late reply KM

Hi Melodyfloss ; sorry for the late reply . Below are some pointers ; Brandt FP867XS1 Retail at $1899.00 Multi suction / Auto program / cool Door / Full Glass Door / Turnspit / New Danish Design and Wire Rack / 54 litres / 2 large drip tray ( 45mm& 20mm and 2 safetly grids rack and the cool door and the glass of the oven can be remove / Comes with 9 cooking program and 6 Auto programs +++ I find this model quite complete as it has all the programs that a person need and for the cleaning is qute easy . GOOD Buy Brandt FE811XS1 retail at $899.00 Multi Function Oven / Knob control / Temp. recom / Cut off timer / New Danish design / 2 glass door / 6 cooking programs / 1 large tray (20mm) / 2 rack ( for baking of multi rack - cookies / 52 litres Brandt FC842XS1 Retail at $1399.00 Multi function / Catalytic ( self clean panels = it will absob the oil while grilling and it will min. the cleaning of the inner of the oven . ) / 6 cooking program / Full glass inner door / +++ 45cm drip tray to hold the oil while grilling and you may place some carrots , potatos , onions on it while grilling and all the favour of the oil will drip down . But remember to place an alumnium foil on the tray Brandy ME 655XG retail at $1599.00 Comi Oven & Microwave Built In / 12 auto program / 40 litres / Elec Spped Deforst . +++ 2 in 1 is good in space saving and all in one but if you do some grilling and after which you want to defrost , you will need to clean inside first and sometimes the smell will be there . And if one spoilt , the other cant be use as sometimes supplier need to bring back to service . Like wat i suggest that 2 in 1 is good but if possible try to avoid it +++ All the 3 oven you suggest is from a basic to middle to high end . All got it Pros and Cons . Sometime a basic oven can do wonders ( Just image in the past , those oven comes with 3 program and without turbo fan , but they make the best food ) If you notice that each model is $500 difference between each model ( 3 ovens ) If the price is right , can consider Brandt FE811XS1 as it have all the cooking programs it needed and beside the $$$ difference , you will notice that ithe difference between them are the extra cooking programs ( Which you may not use ) / self clean panels ( some ppls say is good to have but how often you grill ? and is it in large portion ? with self clean panels we also have to clean lastly the higher end model comes with complete features but you may not use all asyou may end up using the basic 3 cooking programs = Tradition pulsed ( top and bottom with Fan cookies chicken ) / Tradtional ( Top and bottom for cakes , meat ) / Grill ( Top heat for grilling of chicken ) Is only that after grilling you will have to clean the inner oven but even those self clean oven we will also clean it once a while right that humans And you can save up the rest of your burget $$$ to purchase other products sorry for the late reply KM

Hi DPSK ; greetings Hows the Oven perforamce ? Do remember to pre heat the oven once a month using the top and bottom heat with Fan at 180 degree and for 15 mins.Which Hobz model you purchase ? Glass or stainless stell ? KM
-
Hi biz ; You may consider : Electrolux EOB 31002X at $799/xx Bosch HBN 331E2J at $749/xx Brandt FE811XS1 at $899/xx Tenkei TEK 62 IX at $559/xx But most model now does not come with turnspit as it has Turbo Fan built in . With Turnspit theres pro and con as the food get to turn aand the base of the food will be well bake and grill but cleaning wise may be a headache as it quite sharp. As for Turbo Fan assist , it will distrubute the heat evenly but some ppl do say that the base is not grill or bake at all. But when grill a chicken or meat you may just leave the meat on the rack and the base is expose to the heat Are you planning for replacement or for new kitchen ? And how many program you prefer ? Colour of oven ? sorry for the late reply KM

Hi Xianee ; sorry for the late reply , RBO 7 MRX is a 7 cooking program Oven but the retail price is $850 /xx and RBO-5CSI is a 4 cooking program oven retail at $650/xx but for the RBO-5CSI does not come with Turbo Fan as this can distrubute the heat evenly ( for cookies ) And if i not mistaken it only have 3 program as it add the Oven Light into it . Can consider Ariston FB 51.2 IX retail at promotion price $600+++ or even Teka Oven . As for the RBO-7MRX come with self clean panel , cut off timer , 7 cooking program ( minus the light become 6 ) and turbo fan . If compare theses 2 i say RBO-7MRX still ok Remember to pre heat the oven once install and always pre heat once a month sorry for the late reply KM

Hi berry_surprise, sorry for the delay , 56 litres is good enough as in the past the capacity of the ooven is only 51 litres .And with Turbo fan , you may purchase extra racks and do cookies ( Just remember to lower the Temp. for example cook book indicate 180 degree , lower to 160 degree as with Turbo Fan the heat is stronger or you may consider shorten the time . Remember to pre heat your oven once install as to blow out the smell. ( Turn to Top & Bottom Heat With Fan , 180 degree for 15 minutes. ) As for microwave + grill products , you may grill small portion or heat up food but try to min. useing often . KM sorry for the delay

Remember to pre heat the oven once install and heat up the oven once a month to prevent it from tripping the home Check around for the gooood price . I heard some electrical dealers giving quite a goooood buy . Happy baking KM
-
You may consider putting the microwave + grill on top of the oven cabinet space. And with microwave + grill you may warm up food and do simply grilling but is best to use the oven for grill big portion of meet as the oven comes with Fan assist inside. So the heat will be distrubute evenly and well cook . And the oven comes with Fan assist so you may bake a few racks of cookies too. remember to heat up the oven once a month to prevent it from tripping and to maintain the oven internal heating element . KM KM

Hi berry_surprise ; The above mention oven comes with 5 cooking programs but the plus point is that it capacity is 56 litres . As it comes with the basic oven needs so if the price is right And theres quite a few models now so it all comes down to the design of the oven , cooking programs , inner oven type , back up service etc. KM
-
Hi MJ ; I sense that Brandt currently has all the programs you need and it moves quite well in local and there's a LCD display at the centre to view the Temp etc. As for Electrolux you may consider EOB 3100X . For Brandt FE 811 • Class A Energy Efficiency • 52 Litres • Ergonomic Knobs control • Multifunction • Activemail Interior • Ventilated Door • Wire Side Racks • 2 Safety Crid Racks • 1 Large Drip Tray - 20mm 6 Cooking Modes: • Traditional • Traditional Pulsed • Fan Assisted Crill • Pulsed Oven Shelf • Crill • Special Poultry For Bosch - Conventional top and bottom heat - Bottom heat only - 3D hot air - Hot air grilling • Rapid heat up (Manual) • Rotary sword control knobs • Electronic clock with timer • Double glass door • 4 shelves position • EasyClean enamel coating • 1 x 25W interior oven lighting • Childproof lock • Removable door for easy cleaning As for Ariston FZ 61 IX , it comes with 6 cooking programs , mainly 6 Cooking Programs: - Traditional - Multi-Cooking - Barbecue - Gratin - Pizza - Baking But me gt some bad feedback from friends that their spare parts quite EX and sometimes no spare parts sad to hear that .
-
hi Xianee, You may consider EOB 3001X which comes with 7 cooking programs, but this model does not come with self clean panel . Or you may consider Brandt FE811XS1 it come with 6 cooking programs . The difference are Electrolux does not comes with a panel to view the time etc. but brandt do have. Sorry for the late reply KM

Hi bennzi, greetings Bosch 45cm steam and oven is the popular choice. and 2 in 1 do save place on cabinet area but some ppl mind set is that once 1 of the fuction is not working or down , is quite a hussy . And while your grillling or baking and as the same time after the grilling or baking , the smell may be still in the cavity so if you wants to steam some food . it may effect the smell and most important the taste . By getting 2 seperate unit you may bake and steam at the same time or grill a chicken and steam a chicken at the same time and you have 2 nice food and most important save time You may also can consider getting an 45cm oven and a 45cm steam oven . KM
-
hi joseeng; greetings once an oven is install into the cabinet, some ppl dont tighen it with screws on the side of the oven but if need you may want to fasten it with screws that come with the oven . ( left and right of the oven , theres at least 2 screw holes on either side ) KM

Hob & Hood - Which Brand Should I Buy?
kitchen matters replied to joper's topic in Electronics & Electricals
Hi qiqi; saw their products at certain stores. Their FX 900 slimline hood sell the best i heard run out of stock . As for Oven , they have 1 model . Iif i not mistaken they gives out 3 yrs warranty on Hood. KM -
Hi Bennzi ; You may consider Gaggenau . They do have it , the model are BS 280/281 and BS 270/271 . STEAM OVEN Steam oven claim that their not only reduce cooking time, but also lower the fat content of food. Dry heat cooking tends to rely on added fat to keep meats from drying out. With steam, meat needs no supplementary fat, and will definitely not be dry because of the constant injections of steam. Steam cooking also retains more vitamins than other cooking methods and is therefore touted as a far healthier way of preparing foods BUILT IN OVEN As for Oven frequent complaint of cooks with radiant ovens is that bottoms of foods get scorched, while tops are not browned evenly. This is because the temperature is not the same over the course of the cooking time, as well as over the volume of the oven cavity. Convection ovens correct this variation by using a fan that blows the hot air throughout the oven. A "true" or "European" convection oven goes one step further by adding a third heating element. Thus, the fan actually blows pre-heated air, rather than distributing the already-heated air. These are the most expensive and effective types of ovens. Cooking with a convection oven requires some adjustments, but proves much easier and more rewarding in the long run. Because the heated air transfers heat more efficiently to cooking containers and exposed food surfaces, food will take less time to cook. Most recipes can be cooked for 25% shorter time, which ends up saving energy. Also, you might need to slightly lower the temperature at which food cooks on a trial and error basis. You'll notice that convection ovens seal in the juices of meat so dishes taste more flavorful and moist. Baked goods, such as pies or cookies, will be perfectly browned, even if you place them on different racks. Pastry will come out better, too, because the heat doesn't fuse flour and butter, but allows it to form flakes. When you're using multiple racks, the food itself won't interfere with the heat that reaches other foods. For all these reasons, convection ovens are no longer reserved for high-end restaurants, but increasingly find themselves in the renovated kitchens of amateur cooks Can consider two 45cm ( oven and steam oven ) Can built it on top of each other . As some ppl will have concern that after grilling , the inner cavity will be dirty and hard to clean and the smell will be there as it may effect the next food that you may want to steam . KM

Catalytic is self clean panels inside the oven and it will absorb the oil while grilling , it will min. the cleaning of the oven as the bottom part you will need to clean . And as time past , you may need to change the panels when it start to drips oil down . Pyrolytic is that it will burn or heat up the oven at a certian high Temp. and it will burn the oil into ashes and after abt an hour or 2 ( depends the oven program and the settings you set ) you just have to swept out the ashes . Pro and Cons One there's cost incurr and the other waste electricity As for Pre Heat the oven , mostly ppl use Top and Bottom Heat with Turbo Fan . It need to do this once a month as it will prevents the oven from tripping as theres moisture in the element as Kitchen surrounding is hot and at night is cool so moisture may form . +++ Note once install also must heat up the oven as brand new , there's a smell , it has to burn away the smell first . KM
