I have lost count the amount of times the came to fix (8times at least). What's worse, most of the outdoor railing has begun to rust. The last installation of my railing, my wife lost her handphone. Will be making a police report shortly. Met the boss about the problem. Was not apologetic in any way. Very aggressive, we had to back away. Decided with my main con to engage another railing person. Worst experience of my life. Good luck for those who dare to use em.

Wow! cant wait to see the design. 1 mil can do rebuilt from scratch. Recon normally goes for about 600k. and A & A varies from 250450k. I think u are over paying. furthermore, with 1 mil plonked into the A & A, Would u think u will be able to resell on the market for a minimum of breakeven cost? For me thats, negative investment. all the best...

There is no direct way to calculate the attic cost. 1. u need staricase about 6-10k 2. new roof 24-38k 3. floor slab.. varies..

I've just been told I need to do a CCTV check before construction starts. Anyone has a good recommendation? What's the cost involved? My requirement is for a Cctv of a sewage that runs 30ft across the boundary of home. The manhole is in the boundary of my home. Any help appreciated.

Its possible that you need an architect if its a redevelopment. mine would be consider reconstruction. redevelopment guidelines is a bit different.

Thanks for the reply. the allowable area, is it the plot ratio or site coverage? plot ratio is 1.4 my land area is approx 3000ft. The current built up is 1800ft. i am increasing the gfa to about 3200ft. I should be able to comply to both. the main increase in GFA is for the attic. I am doing a reconstruction, wont be demolishing the present place. Dear All, I am currently applying permit from BCA for reconstruction of my home from a 2storey terrace to a 2.5 storey house. my gfa has increased by more than 50%. I know i need a QP for the BCA building plan approval and TOP. But do i need to engage an architect for the approval application and TOP? Or can i use my current PE (professional Engineer) only for the application? many thanks. David

Dear All, 1. Does anyone has an idea on how much it would cost to build an RC roof for my ground floor terrace house? The RC roof allows me to walk out from my 2nd floor rooms, kind of like a balcony. They roof is at the back of the house. the size of the RC roof - 24feet X 8 feet. 2. Cost for wrought iron/aluminium railing for roof? 3. Approval cost? 4. Also the cost to build a boundary flat wall that's 90 ft long X 6 ft high? Many thanks
