  3. Went down to SSC look see look see... Actually wanted to see this tap but did not see it even though i saw this on their web site... Also may have found the basin for the toilets. Interesting, the one with brown/black colors match exactly the brown/black tiles of the current toilets...:_

  7. Logitech is only a audio decoder, no video. So only the audio part connects to the Logitech. This model supports multiple input sources, optical, coax, PC 2,4,6 channel, PC 3.5mm....So u connect both the console and PC audio to the Logitech and then select the appropriate input source....:0
  8. wah...u not considering using Logitech for both PC and console gaming?....
  9. maybe this will start some noise?... *** edited *** for peace...lol lol... if to much noise, i come back and edit...lol
  10. lol..u meant the inner corner?... how about this one...but will have revamp in your cabinet...lol...u still lose some corner space....but box up... http://www.merlincabinets.com.au/fittings.html though i will put a single handle across the two sides and then that can be use as a towel bar when it is closed...:)mmm...coming to think of it, I might do it for mine....lol....Thanks Angteko!!!... In the past, I have done swing doors, angled corner so that I can put door and open up to shelves, and once I put my gas cylinder there....lol....
  11. [Hi I think u still can do a small pull out with baskets or open shelf in that space, then u can put in small jars or sauce bottle...
  12. lol..I contribute some... did u consider Intradesign?...my experience with them is good. However, the way they quote as in one lump sum instead of breakdown do not go down well with some ppl. If u can accept that, u may want to consider them......try to get Dave or Angeline
  13. way to go....lol...continue upgrading....... ur speakers just grew by 3" to almost 11" high............lol soundbar?...personally I do not like it....lol.....u will continue playing games in the living area cause the experience will be too much a difference.....room zie is like 12ft by 10 ft, quite big liao. in my previous place, I use the Creative 5.1 decoder, not sure whether they sell it anymore, but then it is cheap and good and support mulitple inputs too....its been with me for almost 10 years and still working fine... my suggestion is still to get a 5.1 ...lol, maybe something like Logitech Z5500 ( though I think it support 1 optical 1 coax only)
  14. then just use the standard open hi-fi rack, some comes with a vertical cabling "bar" at the back. though i prefer a horizontal one for each shelf so that can install power socket as well as for cable runs, Do a google on "hi fi rack: and u can see many images This one looks nice and open, http://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/3d-c4d...ment-set/407237
  15. lol..yes. I notice u have Pro600 and the Velo sub.....so u exchange the DefTech sub for Velo or u are going to use 2 sub.?
  16. I think the most important thing is stability. Thus u see the good speakers stands are very solid and sturdy. Sometimes, those tall boy type are actually speakers on the stand, they just blend the stand in. E.g, if console is made of plywood(lol.), then also not advisable to put on console. But then having said all these, most ppl cannot hear the difference, especially if it is use for movies as placement/effects/sub takes over the experience. Will they come and set it up/tune it for u?.....or just let the Denon do it automatically after u have set it up. (MultiEQ and Room EQ)....
  17. 1. mmm...they advise against speaker stand?...probably the Pro600 speaker may not have support for stand...:0 2. Since u bought Pro600, according to the website, the 4 satellites are all the same. So u do not need to change speakers per se, since any can be use to front or rear. So yes I guess, just move the connecttions....but...u will move TV around?... 3. L-box easy to patched up, right?...lol...........
  18. lol...tks... edited... ...sorry....I read more carefully...u already mentioned cannot be hacked....
  19. er...I say something can? vintage laminate - old resort, resort on stilts like kelong, like Coconut Beach resort.. euroline laminate - new resort, higher class resort, like Club Med resort. er..did I contribute anything?..
  20. Hi Angteko That time I bought mine at those DIY stores, like HomeFix though the selection is not large. Those Adelphi stores have too, but they could be priced higher. Really depend on the type and support of speaker weight. The price range could go from $20 to $100....lol El Nino Al Nino Speaker placement, IMHO, is still best at ear level. Either put on the console or buy a pair of speaker stand.....ceiling mount is still ok, just that u got it tilt... Lol...my mum is just the user. Setup I need to do......not so power....but power enjoyment...!!!...lol
  21. lol...she is 77 this year.......ya lor.....she is the only one in the family that has iNano, iPod and iTouch....
  22. 1. U will have shelvings right?. should be ok. What I meant is that since there is not enuff space when u put in the AV receiver, u will not be able to connect the audio/video/speaker cable as u cannot reach the back right?....so it mean u have to hold the AV receiver , find something to put in onto, connect the cables and then put into the cabinet. Quite tough. Lol Lol...I hope I explain it right.... 2. The depth according to manual is 328mm (13'). If u use component cable, u will probably need around 1.5 to 2 in for the connectors and cable turn. So the depth will be around 15'. Longer if u used HDMI cable cause they are not that flexible to turn.. I think it is going to be a tight fit. Maybe good to do a quick measurement, just remember to give allowance for cable connectors and turns.... I notice there are power cables being laid into your console area, so the location of the power socket is important too as power plug also take up space.... 3. My Yamaha was 3 years old now, it goes with the house when I sold it. Still working.....I always open the door....lol 4. Normally. the front speakers and centre speakers should be at ear level when u sit and enjoy the movie. So it is not advisable to mount the front at the top corner of the wall. The centre speaker should be place below the TV. The rear speakers can be mounted on the top wall, though ppl also put it at ear level just behind where u will be sitting. U can get the manual at http://www.intl.onkyo.com/downloads/manual...00_manual_e.pdf. There is a page where it show a typical speaker placement. it is on the Enjoying Home Theatre section. Hope it helps 5. I have not see the physical unit of the speakers. Some speakers come pre-drilled holes to support different kinds of bracket. So it is advisable to take the speaker or photos of it when u go shopping. The last time I hunt for brackets, I went to those DIY shops and manage to get it. But for the bigger sets, i ask my AV supplier to do. Easier... Oh dear...hope u did not fall asleep reading this long post.........
  23. lol.......but I sold the place liao, now living in a rental condo, cant wait for my unit to be ready and back to gaming...lol I got my mum support because she used to play games on my dreamcast....but now her eyesight not so good, so she play on iTouch....
  24. lol..not a lot......just some knowledge due to being a user.... U bought the Onkyo HT-S3200, ya the amp is considered a AV amp. The audio output is 110W/120W. so I guess it would be hot when operational. Also, the weight is about 9 or 10kg. So if u were to support it mid-air per se, it might be heavy. That is when u need access to the amp by doing all the connections.... u have xbox360 right?, if u use component connection. If u use the Microsoft supplied cable, the connectors is quite long. So make sure u have enuff depth when the cable gets connected to the amp. HDMI should be ok, but some HDMI cables quite stiff too....Bascially, the depth of the cabinet should be the sum of the equipment depth, connector depth and cable bend... The last time I did the reno then I go buy the system. For my MBR is ok (this is where I use the vertical cabinet) as i use a low form factor digital AV amp. But for my living room, though I had Yamaha AV, and i faced both heat and depth issue....lol...a bit troublesome especially when u need to do more connections later on..... Anyway, although technically poor ventilation shorten the lifespan, it does not necessary imply ur equipment will failed during ur usage lifespan as most ppl will upgrade, change, move house etc.... Excessive heat also may cause laminates issue if I am not wrong. I think as long as u leave the doors open when using, i think should be ok, Dats y sometimes u see ppl open ventilation slots, so that when air can get circulation... Just to share the experience. Thus for my reno this time round, I ask the ID to make sure my receivers is not box up. makes life easier.... btw..ur speakers..they going to be mounted onto the feature wall?...
