  1. Thanks for the advice. Manage to come to an agreement with Id. Though cannot reduce cash but reduce elsewhere. No choice but at least it's something. Well, have to manage the other costs elsewhere then.
  2. Hi I am new here. Just got a HUGE shock from my ID who quote me on electrical works: Here's the breakdown: 1. Supply & run new light points $40 x 46 points = $1,840 2. Supply & install 13amp double power point $65 x 9 = $585 3. Shifting of switches / power point $35 x 6 = $210 4. Supply & install SCV point $110 x 3 = $330 5. Supply & install telephone point $55 x 2 = $110 6. Supply & install ceiling fan $50 x 1 = $50 7. Supply & install oven point c/w switch $65 x 1 = $65 8. Supply labour to run speaker cable $55 x 1 = $55 9. Installation of lights $10 x 51 = $510 10. Installation of doorbell $10 x 1= $10 11. Touch up old wiring = $150 12. Supply labour to hack partial wall ( Conceal wiring ) $700 13. Supply & plaster smooth defected walls $700 TOTAL = $5,315 I think its totally ridiculas amount and i was really disappointed as I trusted them. Btw, i only got the breakdown of the costing after everything was done. Can anyone tell me what can I do? When we discuss about electrical costs, we always told its about $2K plus... but $5K is not acceptable. Can anyone advise?
