  1. good deal leh... i'm sure you liked the quality and workmanship too?
  2. HI zhiz, ngunadi, valuehunter Thanks for reminding me though. I'll see how they dealt with those "duplicate" charges when they are in my "selected" ID list, just for their benefit of doubt. To err is human, to repent is divine. Keep your kind reminder coming in.
  3. hi jaskel I greatly appreciate for your time taken to pen down such comprehensive and detail explanation, which definitely lighten up a newbie like me. Will watch out for those. Kudos to you! I totally agree with you that no manner how "cheap" we can get from a quote, in the end of the day, smooth (meeting date line) progress, good quality and workmanship is what we manner the most. And yes, if spending extra few thousand dollar yields better results from a responsible ID, I'm definitely opt for it. Saving those $$ might not be enough to "cure my agony" if result turns out bad, like cases you mentioned. The only thing that I wanted to know is that what I spend on is not "unreasonably charged" though i know there is a premium incurred for excellent service. Having said that, I definitely trust the integrity of this ID who has made good reputation so far on the renovation services. I do not expect my house to be superbly designed but simple, only to feel a sense of comfy home after a hard day of work. Therefore, I hope it is not too much for me to expect my renovation to complete without much hiccups. May I know how long does it takes to get HDB approval for reno work permit? Thanks!!!
  4. hi zhiz When you mean tile the whole place, do u also mean flooring for all rooms? Did you engage an ID or contractor? thanks!
  5. HI jaskel Which dimension I can provide to help better estimation? Your inputs so far have been very beneficial to a newbie like me. For paint, it is ICI emulsion (normal). For wardrobe, I prefer casement. But, is there a price difference with sliding doors? For granite, is India better than China? price difference is how much? What about hacking and bathroom packages? Reasonable? I need to check it out on tiles though. Thanks!
  6. Thanks for your advice. Will take note!
  7. HI jaskel Thanks for replying. Appreciate it! I also realize the duplicates charges and will bring them up again if i decide to use this ID. Beside those you highlighted, do you think it is expensive? With your experience, what is your best guess on such reno spending? My thoughts was like ~22K earlier but guess I'm out then. HI valuehunter I don't feel comfortable to share the ID detail because I respected their integrity of quoting it. It is up to me whether i should sign it though. My reno starts around late june though. So, starting to ask around for quotes and want to move in before Hungry Ghost Festival. Thanks!
