  1. 5 Years warranty, ideally if something happened with his job, in this case a leakage, he shoudl come and fix it for me. Here are the details: Hack off existing toilet: $250Lay pressure grout at toilet floor: $40Lay 3 in 1 prepack screed: $40Water proofing: $70Lay anti slip homogenous floor tiles at toilet (Max price for tile: @3.5 psf): $400Wall tiles ceramic installation (when he hack the floor, there should be some wall tiles broke): $150Toilet bowl installation (Brand: Otto): $300To do conversion of squat to sit type: $180 I don't know the result yet but I got this contractor from my colleague and as I saw the result in his house (re-built everything from scratch), the quality is ok and according my friend, this man is very responsible and always check in detail of the work. But as I said, I haven't experienced it by myself so cannot tell you about their work. Maybe later after he finish his work, I will share with other forumers the quality of his work and the quality of his final result
  2. Thanks for all the response. I already consult with the contractor and decide to hack all the bathroom floor and rebuild it again with the new sitting type toilet bowl. In this time as I also have another thing to do so I just ask my contractor to re-quote the price. For this conversion itself (hacking + re-do bathroom tile + changing toilet bowl), it cost me : $1400 The contractor said if I just overlay, it still ok but there will be leakage risk later on, so I decide to re-do the toilet flooring in order to change this old type toilet bowl. For wet work, the contractor will give me 5 yr warranty
  3. Hi Forum-ers, I plan to change the old toilet bowl squat type to sit Type, the things that I need to ask are: What is the risk of changing this toilet bowl ?Is that simple job, just dismantle old WC and install the new one ? Or need some other work ?Do the shop which sell this toilet bowl also provide dismantle and installation for us or we need to hire plumber to do it ? Thanks in advance
  4. Hi Jaskel, thanks for the info that u wrote on this thread. For the cooking hob part, the area that I mean is 110 x 58 cm. I've bought the hob already which is sure can fit with the area. And regarding with the concrete part. I wouldn't do anything on this part, so just add 1 part solid wood on top of it to support my new kitchen table top. The height of this supporter part is around 6 - 15 cm. But we need to re-measure everything again so the cooking place is not too high or too low for my wife to cook comfortably. I've called some person and just wait their quotation. Do you know what's the good brand for this Solid top surface? I'm digging some information in this forum and found there are some numbers of brand such as Corian, LG, etc. But I think I'll just get the medium price so can get quite OK quality and the price not so expensive
  5. Haha, yeah I know it's very small project, they won't make enough money from this project. Do you have any idea ?
  6. Yeah the work that quoted: Demolish current condition (bathroom's wall and floor)change toilet bowl, basin and shower (for 2 bathroom)change floor and wall tile (material cost @3.5 psf) But maybe in this thread I would like to asking about, is there any place (carpenter) which I can ask just to make table support (from solid wood) for my kitchen table top's base? As I call the Corian distributor, they can make the kitchen table top as requested plus with installation. In this case maybe what they mean with installation is just put it on top of wood table, that's it. Please help if any member know where I can contact some carpenter to make this job done
  7. Hi there, I just bought 3 room resale flat and plan to do something with it. Actually the flat is already done up quite nicely but there are some items that I need to re-do (Bathroom and kitchen solid surface). As I contacted some IDs/Contractors, they quoted me with unreasonable price (in my opinion), mostly they quoted me 8K just for re-do 2 small bathroom (1.5x1.8m) and installing solid surface for my permanent cooking hob. But the most important now for me is just installing solid surface table top for my permanent cooking hob. Previous owner use portable cooking hob and put it on top of their concrete part. So my plan is just add solid surface table top on top of my concrete part. To do this job I need to make wood support so solid surface table top can lay on top of it. It's very simple job actually, but I really don't know with whom I need to contact with, if I contact contractor, they mostly will say "sorry no project less than 5K". It's so frustrating for me. Is there any of you can help me to share the information? Thx in advance
  8. Me too guys, if you don't mind please share with me your contractor as I plan to do renovation on bathroom side (3 Room resale Flat). Thx in advance
