  1. I am really don't think singapore government can determine whether PR has private property in other countries. It just doesn't make sense at all. There is also no way for the Singapore government to find out unless the foreign government willing to co-operate the effort.

Hi, Any blum user please help with the following: For tandembox inner drawer, the blum is going to supply runner, the left and right of the drawer, the back and front can cut to feet into any width. The carpenter still need to supply and fabricate the base of the drawer right. For tandembox darwer, the left and right of the drawer and back, front and base board need to be fabricated by your carpenter right.
  5. I am doing a small reno. Majority of the work is for kitchen. I have requested to build a cement sink support as I think plywood won't last long for wet area. Please comment whether the following quote is reasonable. My kitchen layout is about 5M length and width is 3.6M. I was thinking that the tiling and cement sink are bit steep. The quote was without any soft closing mechanism. Actually I was thinking whether I can reduce the price if I can supply the contractor with Blum drawer and hinges.   8. I was told that rationell system of Ikea is oem from Blum. I was thinking of getting my contractor to build the cabinet frame in kitchen then I will buy those ratonell drawer system from Ikea and get the contractor to integrate it to the kitchen cabinet. Those drawer is very standard size it comes with 40cm, 60cm or 80cm width. Anyone using Blum here? Any idea whether Ikea rationell is cheaper than Blum?
  9. Hi, I must say lot of those property agent is not really acting our interest at all. I am interested to buy one unit near my current block and I call the agent directly. When the unit is available for viewing, knowing that I do not have any agent, she will only give me exclusive view of the unit only if I am her direct buyer. She was thinking of collecting both buyer and seller commission. After viewing the unit, I only offered COV of 20K. The seller is looking for 65k COV though. Actually on the same day I call her at night and was told the unit is sold with 65k of COV and buyer is exercising the OTP now. I was later found out it was only sold for 55k COV.
  10. Hi, I cooked very often so I really think the plywood cabinet is only for those who seldom cook. I was thinking of construct cement based cabinet for the kitchen, of course the top cabinet is still plywood. Practically I think this is good but not sure whether the cost of building cement base kitchen cabinet. Though I guess it should cheaper than the plywood. I am not sure for cement base can I still use solid top.
  11. block 342 I think the seller keep pressure the agent must get 650K but the valuation is only 515K. Anyway I was told someone offer 610K before but I don't believe that. This unit all four rooms are facing the green field which is the army camp facing. I don't think worth it as no balcony and kitchen is **** small.
  12. move in condition is good. I may just do simple renovation for toilet and kitchen only. Yeah, it is very expensive COV, but I have tried for the last 6 months away from MRT area 15 min walk, those flat also asking for crazy COV 80K 60K 55K. Even a lower floor unit or mid floor floor with blocked view also asking for this kind of crazy COV. I have even went to one unit that condition is very bad that must total redo everything also asking for 35k, before I negotiate further it was sold. One unit facing north west, hot and facing highway and just 13 floor and not even corner unit also sold for 55k before I can even negotiate. The unit that i purchase same block 1 floor below actually there is one unit available to sell and they are asking 120K COV, I negotiate for 2 weeks and finally give up. So if you look at the current crazy market, away from MRT you also pay so much COV might as well top up a little bit and just 3 min MRT
  13. I pay 88k COV for CCK EA 143sqm. The top floor corner unit. it is within the 3 min walk to mrt but not directly facing MRT so no noise. i agree that you have to see the unit in order to judge whether it is worth the COV.

  17. I still prefer a dedicated study area. Here my new plan C. I will relocate the study to the living room. This will save some space for the Living area.
  18. I just bought a resale EA at CCK. This is the original floorplan. My mission here: to create another bedroom from the current layout. build TV feature wall relocate the master bathroom toilet door as I want to have shower screen for both bathroom. I have two plans. Plan A required lot of hacking since we also need to get rid of the entire store room and move it to kitchen. Plan B required minimum hacking as we simply move the toilet door close to the center of the bathroom. In this case the position of the bed as well as door direction is also taken care. I am running out of ideas, apart from this I was thinking of just convert the study room to a bedroom and simply create study corner in the existing living room but I don't want the TV noise to disturb my son study. Any comment is welcome here
  19. I have a Sharp Aquos 42 inch LCD in my existing flat. I am moving to new flat soon. I have requested to built TV console and feature wall so that I can mount my TV on it. Any idea where can I get those mounting kits? Who should I engage for installation ? Any idea what is charges since the installation guy will need to move the TV from my old flat to new flat too?
