  1. Hi, i have a booster car seat to let go. please email me at sg.lelong@gmail.com for picture. Thanks!

  2. Just wondering.. if your tenant requests to install cable tv in their room, would u be comfortable with it? I have never installed any telephone line ever since i moved in. Though the tenant claimed he will apply under his own name and pay for bills, what about the telephone line? If im the owner of the flat, can the line be registered under a tenant then? Im not really comfortable with this request so i need some opinion and what is involved during installation, etc. I myself are using mobile broadband and didnt see the need to install any telephone line. If this seems like a bad idea i really need a good reason to turn him down.
  3. u buy the flat 'as it is' condition. u ask them for discount for all the wallpapers and built in wardrobe chances are u will never hear from them again. plenty of other buyers available for them.
  4. i provided all 2nd hand but gd conditon furnitures to my tenant. basic furnishing wardrobe bed frame plus mattress, fan, a small table ples chair. nowadays tenants usually need table n chair to do their work or eat. usually when tenants agree to rent the room they will request wat they need.. like ironing board.. small cabinet.. depends on their needs.
  5. i ordered quite a lot of items in a single sitting so when they delivery came i was rather busy checking the products and hence overlooked this matter. i'd actually went down to the shop and again ask the salesgirl for the confirmation that its tempered glass. its word against words but i have witness ..since their items are manufactured by different companies i believe its the manufacturer that is at fault. but on the bright side.. i juz received a call from them agreeing to change the item to another of the same value. im not putiing 100% blame on them which is why i didnt ask for them to compensate medical fees. all im asking is for some sense of responsibility.. its my 1st time buying tempered glass.. so i didnt really know wat to look out for.
  6. cannonsiao: 1) the display table itself in their showroom had the word 'tempered' on the surface and salesgirl verbally told me its tempered. however the delivery order is not stated. when my table arrived there is no word 'tempered' and that i realised only recently. now they are claiming its only 40% tempered but i have doubts cos even if its 40% tempered the degree of the shattered glass was as gd as non tempered glass at all. 2) my son was reaching out for something below the table and upon getting up banged his head and i repeat his head (not some hard or heavy objects) on the bottom layer of the glass. he didnt climb up at all and the top layer glass is unaffected. thanks all.. my son is ok now. im thankful for that.
  7. i bought some furnitures from Brighton company.. thou their ads looks like they selling cheap furnitures i realise some of their items are rather pricey.. nvm, found a few items i like including this coffee table which comes in 3 layers.. both me and hubby like it a lot and the salesgirl claimed its tempered glass, we assumed should be safe enuf to have around the house. one month after delivery i heard a loudbang almost like explosion while in the kitchen. run out to find my 3 year old lying halfway below the table with glass all over and blood dripping. rushed to A&E and received 4 stitches. those glass are definitely not tempered glass as claimed cos they were sharp big pieces and how can a 3 year old possibly bang his head till the glass broke unless they are of low quality glass? went to the outlet and show the pics of the glass and i asked the girl for an explanation. she made some calls and told us the first layer is tempered glass, but not the 2nd and 3rd layer. wtf those glass below not glass meh? i asked for an exchange of a different table with the same value but they were only willing to replace the broken part with again NON TEMPERED GLASS! what? and let the accident happen again? u were the one who claimed these are tempered would i have bought it if i had known they are not? i have a kid on top of that. i didnt even ask any compensation for my son's medical bills. the boss claimed they were only willing to give us a goodwill discount but not a free exchange. perhaps its our fault for buying glass, but shouldnt they have made it clear what those bottom layers are made of? im thinking of going to CASE. can anyone advise if i have got a strong case against them?
  8. so how does tampered glass lools like when shattered?.. tiny small blunt pieces or big sharp pieces?
  9. no logo, no wordings, juz the saleswoman verbally telling me is tampered glass. got the coffee table for a month now. now broken by a 2year plus boy. im mad now cos i didnt realise that table is so fragile.
  10. my hubs told me tamperes glass once if shattered will not have sharp edges thus minimising risk of cuts. the thing is now my boy broke the so called tampered glass coffe table and it broke with all the sharp edges. ended up with 4 stitches in hospital. did i get a bad quality glass or did i get the meaning of tampered glass all wrong?
  11. looking for postform top from direct supplier. needing it for my cabinet. cos the quote i got from my contractor is slightly too expensive. can anyone direct me where to buy that?
  12. have u made any agreemeent wiith seller to fix anything? its advisable to do a check on nite before appt date. check that permanent fixtures like cabinet, window grilles, ceiling fan, doors etc had not been removed. unauthorized renovation usually refers to buyers who are not supposed to start on reno before completion of 2nd appt. no need to engage engineer to inspect however it is best agent should be present during inspection should any issues rise. if there is leakage or wiring prob u cant do anything cos when u purchase that flat u take the flat as in present condition. but for my case my seller removed the toilet sinks so we asked him to install it back and he agreed. if seller agrees to fix certain item that u request for then it it seller's obligation to fulfil before flat handover.
  13. i prefer carpet to rugs. rugs get kicked around or will be all over the place while carpets stay in one place
