Hitachi Washing Machine
whitefantasy replied to yewmun@yahoo.com's topic in Electronics & Electricals
Yes the saleslady at Best Denki told me that must add water to the softener before using. I feel it quite troublesome so i bought Downy brand which is quite watery but the fragrance is lasting, so don't need add water at all. Lolz.... your explanation to your child is so special My hubby say the "kong kong" sound like temple hiting the large bell. -
Need Advice... What Do You Do With Your Old Aircon?
whitefantasy replied to owentch's topic in Electronics & Electricals
Yes they do rebate for using existing piping but not a lot only SGD50 for each aircon. As for the new condenser unit we ask them to change to new piping & insulation coz old ones quite spoilt & ugly. That one no further charge. -

If you will be doing a full renovation i would suggest you change new pipings. B'cos some pipings might be concealed by previous owner and if not doing any renovation then i think it will be better to re-use the same ones. We are re-using the 5 years old pipings coz they are being concealed and it will be great job to hack and change to new ones. -
Our A/C installed by Gain City this week. They came on time at 9.40am & finishes the work at 2.00pm. We thought they will go for lunch at 12pm but when we ask them they say nevermind, they will lunch after completion of job. Total 3 technicians came. One of them a bit rough & seem not too experienced. Luckily the other 2 more professionals and they will always double-check on the procedures. The not so experienced technician did clean up the mess from time to time in the middle of the job. But he did borrow the broom set from us but we don't mind it. At the end of the installation, they did clear up the mess & debris. So far, they are quite friendly & did follow our instructions. We are pleased with the installation job. Hopefully no further issues. Will monitor & feedback here.

You may like to call up Gain City to check with them if there is any rebate promo. I got a rebate of S$240 + S$150 for using existing pipings. Dismantling is FOC. -
Air Con Defect By Gain City
whitefantasy replied to chrysalis1972's topic in Electronics & Electricals
My experience with Gain City last year April was ok, they change the solenoid set n flush system for us. I choose them over Carrier because of price difference of S$200. After installation, they did ask us for a broom to clear the debris left over by the job, but we think it is not necessary since we hv a vacuum cleaner and it is not at all tough to do it ourselves. In regards to protection for floorings, i think hv to let them know in advance. But normally if there is any repair jobs in my house to be done, i will lay protections prior to it. I just wanna make sure not hiccups that i might regret thereafter. Beside that let the servicemen know what to be careful of around the location that the job repair is being rendered. IMO, i think both owner & servicemen hv a part in ensuring a good job relationship. Try to speak nicely to them & i think they will also reciprocate with a better attitude. Remember to offer them drinks during the process too. -

Yes the end music is special but before that the tub will spin first with the kong kong sound..... lolz You will need to dilute with water first if your softener is those thick cream type else it will be fill with water after the wash & sometimes there are still some softener inside the container. If u using Downy softener then don't need add water prior to that as it is quite liquid type. -

Till now i still cannot tahan this noisy washing machine..... sometimes the whole machine can shake & dance and create very loud noise & i thought it is going to explode..... lolz. Not sure if can complain to Hitachi on that or not on their so-called latest technology? Actually i wanted to buy a panasonic brand but the saleslady told me Hitachi "lao zi hao" and it is good & reliable. The only good thing about this machine is the tub is big & even though i throw in queen size comforter there is still a lot of rooms. -

i presume it applies to all latest models. you can select different rmp800, 600 or 400 for delicate items is rpm400. The default setting is rmp800 so you will hv to adjust accordingly if you require different speed. -

The kong kong sound to me quite irritating as my previous national brand don't hv such a sound. Ac tually i wanna to purchase the panasonic 9.0 kg latest washer but Best Denki salesperson told me the Hitachi washer is not noisy when i ask her & keep stressing it is worth to buy. Hence with more functions than the panasonic i purchase the Hitachi washer after her fully recommendation. I thought with even more advanced tech the Hitachi washer should be more quiet than the national brand that i purchase 8 years old? But in actual fact NO. It is rather disappointing loh. If i am not wrong for linen material must use delicate wash or 400rpm speed -
Regretted buying

Hmmm..... personally i do get quite irritated by the sound especially when previously the use of other brands don't hv such a sound. Maybe as what the Hitachi technician say once get used to the sound should be ok..... lolz. But i was thinking of complaining to Best Denki for misleading me purchasing this machine especially when my initial plan to purchase a panasonic one which stated is 20% more silent. But the saleslady keep saying Hitachi really worth to buy blah blah blah etc. And somemore the price they sell overpriced. Did u buy yours from Best Denki as well? Btw did you renovate your house with Henry (Impress 21)? -

When the tub being turn like got the "kong kong" sound. According to the Hitachi technician, that's the sound for the new series. It is normal??? He say a lot of ppls complaining abt this sound especially when last time using other brands/models? Last time when i use national washing machine (shd be direct drive type), don't hv such a sound and i think spinning is more quiet than the Hitachi washing machine. -

It seem like this washing machine is manufactured to be quite noisy especially when the tub is being turn when water is being injet & when it slowly spin up to 800RPM. It seem like it is not direct drive system hence it will be more noisy. But when i go Best Denki purchase, the sales lady say it is not noisy, got 10 years motor warranty, the detergent go all the way to the bottom & the filter is casette type etc. hence i purchase it. Somemore kena chop by their pricings. ***sigh*** i should hv buy back panasonic brand instead of changing brand. Yours is SF-85KJS correct? So far ok? -
Anyone regretted after purchasing Hitachi latest washing machine SF-90KJS?
