  1. dont be , cant go wrong with gloss tiles. after all almost 95% of homes i've been using that, but if you're spending money to renovate why follow the rest, be different !
  2. its personal opinion, i've been to several places in china the tiles are always like that. well, u cant go wrong with gloss, beige, white, black, just make sure they dont stain. Go for matt if you want to be different, there are more tones and textures and surface type avaliable. dont need go for the outdoor rough, granite/stone tiles, most floor tiles are porcelein.
  3. gloss tile is so china-ish. for modern and minimalist, go for matt. matt doesnt mean rough surface, they can be smoot or honed. go look at http://www.nirogranite.com.my/catalogue.html for some nice ideas, especially the cementum, yura, borogna range.
  4. hi guys, i dont know which halogen eyeball fittings type should i choose - gu10 240v or the low voltage mr16. the mr16 requires transformer thought. my setup is to be used with a dimmer, i've read low voltage halogens are prone to flickering while the normal voltage gu10 might trip the entire circuit and burn the dimmer switch if trips. anyone with expert advice ar ?
