  1. Hi Kitchen Matters & fellow oven hunters, I am planning to get a built-in oven too and have narrowed down to Brandt and Bosch. I am a new baker and need your help in choosing a good one for me. Please advise which brand and model will be best for a beginner and the estimated budget. BTW, will you recommend Tecno Oven since they are made in Italy? A friend recommended it and said that it has lasted her 8 years and running still. GAB also said that this brand can buy, if the model is made in Italy. Any idea anyone? Thank you very much for your advice
  2. I am currently renovating my place and am looking to buy a built-in oven. Think if we can consolidate our purchases, we can have better bargaining power to get better deals. I am looking at either Bosch / Brandt built-in oven. Pending Items To Purchase 1) Built in Oven 2) Bosch Front loading washing Machine 3) Fujoh Hood and Hob Anyone interested? Please PM me ok? Or better still, list the electrical items in this thread and we can consolidate the buying power. Thanks
  3. Oh HN having it at $799, seems like a good deal. Just went to HN today and the guys there also recommend this model too. But must have 15A then can install this? If so, HDB still can use? Cos understood that with electrical appliances of over 15A working in the home, one need to have 2 aircon compressor, else the washer will trip. Anyone knows how exactly this thing works? Thanks
  4. Just went to HN warehouse sale today at Benoi Road: Disappointing... very limited stock and brands available, and the discount was measly. However, the good thing was BOsch's people were there so they were able to explain the ovens better. I was advised that in order to use those ovens with power frequency 15A or above, one's house should have ideally 2 compressors. Otherwise, when the aircon and the oven are on together at the same time, either will trip and often, it's the oven. Hi Livinstyle: The prolytic function burns away all the fat and grease accumulated and turn it into ash so after the cleaning session, just need to sweep the ash from the bottom of the oven. Thus, I think maybe should not be too unhealthy. Cos of the 16A issue, now I got to change my choice of oven. Any suggestions? I read that many people are going for the Brandt FX842. Is it really good? Anyone tried Tecno or Rinnai's ovens?
  5. Anyone buying a Bosch HBA43B450A? Went HN last weekend and the salesman told me this is the latest with the auto clean function, 5-years then need to change the insede panels, and best part is when grilling, the turbo fan will auto stop so as to not suck the oil and clog the fan. He claimed this is a new patent-pending design and no other brand has this feature. I am considering this and wonder if there is more discount if got group purchase ? Thanks for advice
  6. Dear all I am thinking of getting the sinks and taps and lightings from JB too. Does anyone have any good recommendations and advice? Is there a max no. of items allowed in a car? If buy toilet bowl, what are the things we must take note? What if cannot fit after bought? can exchange? TIA for the help
