  1. sorry dude, just saw your message...as you guys can guess I am not the most hardworking of bloggers. But the renovation went great, and when I can find the time to post the end result, I will, only to show what a good job Ossify has done, but don't hold your breath. After my folks' 5I, I will be looking to renovate my own 3NG with my future wife, but I might just blog it instead, as I find the forum here quite clumsy to use, maybe it is just me.
  2. Lucas is the least of Liverpool's worries. He is a useful young player who is good at keeping possession, unfortunately he is made a scape goat for our ineptness last season by the ignorant english media. Lucas can be a very good squad player. Focusing on Lucas is like focusing on the pimple on your left *** cheek, when u have cancer. The cancer that is eating away at the club are the american owners. 3. Somehow my previous post got lost, so keeping it short this time. I went to Hafary recently, and managed to confirm my tiles selection in one sitting, however I couldnt get the right tiles for my Kitchen wall. My idea is something like the picture attached below. Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  4. thanks again hippobb. The sellers are a nasty piece of work, actually it is just the daughter making things unpleasant and creating a lot of little inconveniences for us. Since our handover date was supposed to be on the 18 August 2010, and HDB and the sellers seem to be dragging their feet, I have decided to ask my lawyers to claim from the sellers the Late Completion Interest. Anybody here have any experience with this?
  5. thanks hippobb...very useful information. What is the visiting of the MP for?
  6. Yesterday was supposed to be the official date, but due to the leaking ceiling in the toilet, I have postponed the handover. According to the HDB resale officer, the seller will liaise with the HDB Technical Officer to inspect the toilet ceiling to confirm that the ceiling is indeed leaking. Anybody had similar experience? Below are some of the pictures that I took of both the common toilet ceiling and the MBR toilet ceiling. Hope it comes out...
  7. thanks lee, will keep that in mind. In order to save costs, i am thinking of leaving the current Kitchen Wall tiles which are covered by the kitchen cabinets as is, and only replacing tiles of the exposed parts. Is this advisable? thattrader
  8. yea water is my biggest worry...I will do 2 tests: 1st one is i will put a few drops of water in the groove and see how it responds. For the 2nd test, i will soak the entire laminate sample. yes, i am laminating over existing tiles. Do u have a bad experience doing that? thattrader
  9. Hi hippobb, still choosing...a long hard road of out ****. Doing up spreadsheets and stuff trying to keep in within 35k while still doing an overhaul. Will be doing some independent un-scientific tests on Pergo, Supreme and Berry laminates. Stay tuned. thattrader
  10. I like the partial shower glass partition, i am thinking of using a partial glass panel myself. But the splash might end up wetting your toilet bowl, unless u have some ideas to cover up that area. Also, I am deciding between building a curb like yourself around the wet area or doing a drop down zone for the wet area. Decision Decisions... The cut out area for shampoos and stuff is very condo-like. Nice. **Edit: I don't know what is wrong with my eyes, I see now that the whole area is covered by glass. I blame the time.
  11. $170 for flooring? I will pass. Might be an option for kitchen top though. thattrader
  12. Ossify, what about Quartz worktop? Do u know the cost? thanks, thattrader
