hmmm.. first u must already beforehand shortlist what u wan to buy, coz no time n space to jalan jalan at leisure.. i usually go early on sunday n park my car at suntec or marina, then go for brunch, before 12 start to move towards the exhibition halls and within 2hrs i am out of the place coz thats when the crowd start coming in.. this is my usual tactic la! As for buying of tvs, i seriously think there are alot of good deals around with those hourly specials and etc. if u wan cheapest price, juz tell the sales u wan to forgo all the feebies like vouchers and they r usually flexible enough to deduct the equivalent cash value from the selling price lo.

hi fifteenmay, can pm me your ID contact and location of their office? if i say recommend by u from forum will i get a better deal?? haha! need to up one gear in my search for IDs liao, some of the blocks in my BTO project had their status in HDB web update to completion by Sept lo so think we will not be too far behind in getting our keys..

haha since u all in the topic of TVs, hold on to your moolas first! Comex (the quarterly IT fair) just around the corner lo.. from 2nd - 5th Sept! think usually will have plenty of gd deals for tv wor..

Thanks All! so froggy how much did you pay for the ID to smooth screed for u? my colleague oso told me today that i can get hdb to do it for free, like wat fifteenmay mention.. but since its free dun knw how gd it is.. scarly the ground is smooth but angle is wrong i.e not flat.. haha.. so if not too exp might as well juz let the ID do for me.. hmmm.. Bearlyn - so sorry to hijack your thread to ask my own qns but really nowhere good to post n ask this question..

Hi, can i check for new HDB flats do it come with "smooth cement screeding"? One of the ID i met tell me that for new flats we have do cement screeding to raise the level of the ground for the whole house before i can even do any tiling and that easily cost a few grands.. Over the weekend, visit the reno fair at expo and these flooring specialist also tell the cement screeding must be smooth before they can do overlays.. Visited just 3 ID/contractors and me n my partner head is spinning liao.. TIA!
