  1. More Kitchen photos!! We think this is big enough to put a small buffet spread! plenty of working area in kitchen.. hehe.. Another view of the passageway(my pride) and kitchen(my gal's pride) That's all for now!!
  2. Kitchen Photos!! The "inside" of my kitchen.. love the fridge Another view from the service yard.. the black one on the most right is the flop mentioned in the earlier post.. hehe.. From inside looking towards the hall.. so sorry for the pic noise!
  3. I used wallpaper for my "bedhead", entertainment feature wall and 2 pieces of walls in the hall.. Not really well-done, the one used at bedhead got small gaps at eye level.. lucily the design is strips design so can't see clearly.. under certain lighting, the one at hall can see one stretch that the installer used too much glue.. then they make such a mess in my entertainment room that Freddy have to repaint the walls.. so don't like them! My feature wall in entertainment room is fake one, so don't have holes.. otherwise can see the "bone" inside then very ugly.. haha.. Yeah if you have an idea in mind, take the photo and pass to freddy himself, and ask him to ensure its done as per what you gave him..
  4. If i didn't remember wrongly, i saw them displaying similar to what i have in their plaza sing showroom.. but its quite a small showroom, maybe you can find more varieties in their showrooms elsewhere. http://www.songcho.com.sg/default.aspx
  5. Simple yet look so sleek! great choice of the curtains to complement the "feel"!
  6. hihi, i think i saw similar thing in Song Cho lo
  7. Let me share one funny mistake make by the carpenter.. hehe.. Saw this at IK** and was impressed, and have in mind to do the same to store condiments.. so provide photo to carpenter during carpenter meeting and tell him to do the same for one of the cabinets in kitchen... But but but don't know why it will end up like this!! Totally stunned when i first see this, as it is totally different from what we show him.. tell Freddy and he also have no explanation why carpenter do it like this.. Best is he ask carpenter and they still don't have explanation why it end up like this.. haha.. So in the end they add this cute little thing for us for free..
  8. haha what are those post-it notes doing on the walls??
  9. Yeah like what eggroe say, its a red audi.. Audi TT somemore! Ya lor must ask him to cover! don't really understand why he don't want to cover all, now renovation finish still left one roll of protective cover in my store room as gift! His electrician, carpenter and glassworks are great, but can't say the same for wallpaper and tiler, especially wallpaper.. Tell him he better don't use the same wallpaper sub-con for you lor, if you planning to use wallpaper for your house.. Soft closing was really bad, its some nameless brand and the quality really cannot make it.. 3 spoilt in 2 weeks the feature wall in the hall still okay, my gal just push everything into the hole in feature wall but i doubt the cables will last in this way.. my entertainment room is the one that give me headache since i don't want to bend the cables.. hmm.. haven't figure out how to tidy up..
  10. Think i should have a proper conclusion for the end of our reno journey but really very busy with work, housework and CNY the past one week.. Finally have some time to sit down and write! Don't like - ID don't take notes so sometimes need reminders from me - Never lay protection for my matt-surface homo tiles, his rationale is acid wash will remove all the dirt and grease trap on the surface. On hindsight i should have insist since they already lay protection for my glossy surface tiles so not sure why they don't want to do for the rest.. In the end, i have to go around hunting for surfaces that are smeared but are not washed away in the first acid wash... - Sometimes i think he is just too confident of the sub-cons he used.. hmmm.. - The soft closing used for the cabinets sux.. Yes its free but it sux big time.. Only good thing is the soft closing is an additional attachment on the hinge, rather than built into the hinge like Blum, so it can easily be replaced by myself.. Easily spoil, easily replaced. Thumbs Up! - ID very responsive - When reno starts, very on the ball and he can propose solutions or alternatives to problems i faced. - We think he has pretty good taste, because so far we are happy with his recommendations, from overall design to choice of paint to laminates selection.. Even the doors for our rooms are picked by him, and the daring rustic tiles he proposed for my passageway which my visitors commended are good choice.. But then this is really very subjective as different people have different taste.. - Give some, take some is what i will describe him.. He is not very calculative if you are nice to him too.. We have no variation orders at the end of the renovation, even though we have make significant changes to what is originally proposed.. - Really fun person to work with and we can say we have enjoy the renovation process.. Overall, i will strongly recommend my ID, Freddy from Rhiss Interior, a.k.a Red Audi in this blog of mine..
  11. Happily busy the last few days to prepare my house for CNY.. hehe.. finally think its clean enough to host family gathering.. My entertainment room.. haven't really have the chance to sit down and enjoy yet but think this is the place where i will spent most of my time in future.. Can't see from the pic but the box-up "fixture wall" is wrapped with wallpaper.. quite like the design.. With downlights off.. my preferred lighting for movies in future.. hehe.. My completed fixture wall in living room.. don't really like the glass shelving on the right as i think its too big but Red Audi say anything smaller will make it not practical.. We actually argue for quite some time on this during measurement as he initially want it to be bigger while i want it smaller.. Finally the glass works uncle settled it by telling us he will take the measurement in between what we want.. As you can see from above pics, i am having big problems with cable management.. still thinking how to hide those wires away.. hmmm..
  12. Was so worried when the delivery people seems to have difficulties moving our sofa into the entertainment room, and one of them actually told me not possible la cannot fit.. My heart really sank when he told me that.. But luckily the lead delivery man manage to solve the problem by removing the legs first and fit back when the sofa is in.. So the sofa we love at first sight is safely in our entertainment room now.
  13. Haha don't worry yours will turn out fine as well anyway your t-blog is very unique! great! Hi yashimi, this is what i mean the shower head should not drop too much and its best to get those flat shower head.. Actually initially, me and my ID thought the plumber was going to lay the pipes into the box-up to increase the height but seems like just nice the maximum height is only till the box-up.. Plumber advised laying additional pipes to increase height as he is worried water pressure will not be sufficient lor.. No headboard equal to less money and more walking space! haha.. Hey yup we bought the bedsheet during Robinson sales.. hehe.. look fantastic to sleep on but haven't try yet.. Me need to check for the brand, not too sure offhand and i don't have the invoice, will let you know again ya!
  14. MBR completed! except for some touch-ups required for the wallpaper, otherwise its done! Pic take with LED lights only.. Though cant see from the pic here, but love the way the LED lights bounce against my white side-tables and the full height tea-colour mirrors.. Closer view of the bed and wallpaper.. We don't like headboard so replace with wallpaper instead.. The combination of the lighting, tea-colour mirrors, wallpaper and the most expensive bed sheet i bought in my life really gives a very cozy feel.. love it!
  15. Hey bro you long time never update, waiting for your photos lor!
  16. Haha thanks for reading ya! think nowadays the new flats layout all quite similar lo.. Thank you! Hihi! actually ID also stunned by how how the plumber do it.. not quite what he expected lor.. but it works! i guess for this layout like ours, most important is the type of rain showers you buying.. Cannot buy those with shower head that drop too low after the right angle.. hmm.. hard to explain now, will take a close-up pic and show u!
  17. Haha so i guess i succeed in creating the illusion of long passageway lor.. Thank you! Yea so happy that it works coz rainshower is really the one thing i look forward for my bathroom lor.. Thanks Bro! Hope your renovation will be smooth smooth too lo! Hey hihi! Thanks for reading ya! me still worried my naggy writing style will scare readers off.. haha! Actually my night shots will not do justice to the light effects, coz i am using >90% warm lights for my whole house.. my compact camera cannot capture the atmoshere, and worse it produce very noisy pics.. But i will try my best! Coves are indeed dust collection area.. but i like. hehe.. My LEDs is definitely not the cheapest deal around but because its Red Audi contact, we are saving the hassle and just throw to Red Audi to settle.. haha.. so you definitely can get it cheaper elsewhere if you look carefully.. Yea these accessories are standard nowadays coz by right HDB flats are supposed to be ready to move in condition even with very minimal renovation.. Yup will take more pics once my wallpaper and glassworks are completed! Stay tuned!
  18. Our MBR toilet which is very minimally done.. Love the simplicity! Really like the laminates used, even though we spent the least time to pick this laminate.. Not really how i expected it to be done, think even Red Audi didn't expect it to be done is this manner.. But the rain shower is up and i am pleased that the water pressure is great! And finally a glimpse of my living room...
  19. Haha almost, left touch-ups and wallpaper and its done, finally. Ya lor, his client is very late and we cannot wait.. We need to do shopping too! hehe.. You are most welcome to visit ya! Thank you! thats why i am congratulating myself lo.. hehe..
  20. Before Renovation... Tired of going to different IDs to tell them our requirements over and over again.. During Renovation... Tired of doing late night spot checks on the progress.. After Renovation... Tired of doing all the household chores that need to be done.. I have sink back to reality from the excitement of our renovation coming to an end finally.. Think i have done one year worth of house cleaning in 3 days.. Okay think i shall post some pics with reduced commentary.. I am being mistaken as a gal by some forummers here! wahaha! Another view of my fake long passageway.. with the legrand switches on the nearside Congratulate myself for the placement of the mirror.. hehe.. Our cute little side-tables.. That's all for now.. Under orders from my missus to sleep early.. she will monitor what time i post!!
  21. Haha i am berated by my gal in my obsession with large number of lights in the house so ya, there are lights along the corridor as well.. hmm since we are on this, might as well post a pic here on it.. My house is very small so trying to add depth here by trying to create a long passageway "feel".. End result i will say is almost 80% there..
  22. Thanks ya! actually now on second look my shoe cabinet from front look like $ sign lor! haha! My experience is some of the IDs will charge you for PE in advance, since they are not sure as well.. Maybe get them to commit if no PE is required, they will refund you this sum of money? I not sure whether you can check with HDB directly anot.. hmmm.. Hehe soon.. But there are some works that still need to be done to the fixture wall as wallpaper is delayed.. Glad that you have a good experience with them! Jacky is the tall guy with white glasses? if so ya think he is a nice fella lo.. Can see that he is quite patient when he speak to clients.. Hehe thanks! Updates.. Still left some work that still need to be done; Glassworks, wallpapers are still pending, major touch-ups required by carpentry for my kitchen, painting still shortfall of one wall due to clash in timing with my windows contractor.. hmmm.. my back is aching after cleaning our new house for a few hours in the middle of the night.. in preparation for the arrival of my furniture in the morning! Will post more pics soon!
  23. Think my blog is getting boring with no pics, so here are some to share lo.. View from my hall.. shoe cabinet on my left and bomb shelter feature wall on the right.. Close up of the feature wall, the white laminates actually have some designs on it and didn't show well on the picture.. Overall quite nicely done lo coz the the black laminates actually flush with the beam Back view of the shoe cabinet, love the rustic laminates! Front view.. not too sure its my mistake or Red Audi mistake or electrician mistake coz i was quoted for one light point only, but from 3D pic is obviously 3 lighting points.. Red Audi bear the cost for the other 2 points.. And lastly, my favourite picture...
