  1. Not sure in terms of percentage but Cellini does have packages - sofa, dining and coffe table etc. Try the Park Mall outlet. We did find the sales people more friendly and willing to negotiate, mix n' match items in packages. Yes, most popular furniture companies are there in Perfect Living. We visited the previous fair a month back and did find good prices. Try it on Sunday (last day) for quick deals.
  2. Is there any good promos going on for Simmons? Thanks in adv.
  3. Of course you can, though I'd call it negotiate the price ;-) There's also a furniture fair going on in Expo now (until 12th Dec). You might want to try that too.
  4. Hi folks, Just wanted to find out if any of you used indemnity form to be signed by IDs/contractors before you handover keys to them for renovation of your home so that they're liable for any damages to your home? This is mainly for partial renovation.
  5. I'd suggest to fix a day for shopping with your ID and before that, do your homework to know the prices. An ID is likely to take you to their regular place (ID's have their preferred shops). Having the ID around will help you to look at things from overall design perspective - whether the items fit in. At least mine did help in that way and also knew when to recommend and when not to say more and they were open about it. Ultimately, its your home and even if you want to mess up the overall design done by the ID, then should let you do that. Also, only pay a deposit first so that you can think about the items before purchasing them another day. Another good thing about purchasing things from ID's recommended place is that they'll coordinate the delivery or fix problems etc. Saves you time.
  6. The process is is straightforward. Get a signed-quote (yourself and ID) and send it off with other docs. Banks give the amount based on the quote, nothing more. You can include all immovable items in the quote - including toilet fittings and lights. In my case, I started early with the ID - got them to see my place, reviewed the reno items few times to keep only the "needs" (vs "wants") - these are things we have to do. We also had couple things which we thought will be nice to have just as a buffer, in case we wanted to change those to something else later e.g the ones which couldn't decide at that moment. We have not included toilet fittings and lights which we need to purchase on our own. So we'll buy them first and then add them to the loan later by getting a another quote with that price. Banks do allow to add-on later. So I'm not comfortable with getting refund from IDs (not sure if it'll be prompt or some could try and sell something else to you for that amount). Hope it helps!! I just got my loan approved. Seems like Maybank & RHB offer attractive rates and RHB does have a separate component called "Furniture loan" apart from renovation loan. Hope this helps!!
  7. Yes please. Thanks. Intending to engage them. If possible let me know the contact person as well. thanks.
  8. Hi, Could you send me the contact pls. Thanks in advance.
  9. Hi there, I'm also looking for a similar wood divider for my apt. Could you send me the contact info. My opinion - sounds a bit ex for 6 pcs but then again I'm not too much familar with the reno costs. What wood is being used?
  10. Hi all, Any ID recommendation for partial renovation for 5rm - redo Living room and toilets. Rest of the areas only require painting. Since the work is small, most IDs don't seem to be keen. However I need someone who can manage the whole work.
