Am a newbie in RT forum and this is my first blog...juz completed our first appointment and waiting to get keys in Mid October....would like to share the progress of our renovation with everyone....excited haa. Hello Paulchng, How come your 1st Appointment Date and 2nd Appointment Date so close together? You've just had your 1st appointment and your 2nd in mid October? Can the HDB do it so fast now? I thought 5 weeks was the minimum time . Just curious>>>>>>> thanks.

Ask your agent to show you the buyers' list, these days there are many more buyers with agents than direct buyers themselves.

As of today 16th September, the earliest 1st Appointment Date is 14th to 28th October 2010.............. why so fast all of a sudden? HDB Hired More Staff ? I understand that there were some 3200 resale transactions in August ... It's been 3 years now , a fren of mine stays at Blk 611, a couple of blocks away from 601.... now already doing lift upgrading, park upgrading and now HDB doing Home Improvement Works to the few blocks there. Good la!!

Many recent HDB buyers were expecting prices to continue going up .......... but HDB resale prices are already at an all time record high now.... the government does not think it wise to let the bubble grow any bigger , hence the recent measures. Property and asset values will rise but it must be in line and commensurate with economic growth & income levels. No excessive exuberance. If property prices continue to escalate, then we all know by Feb 2011, another set of measures will likely be introduced.

Well, if you can forgo the hot water supply from the instant or storage heater, just running with cold water feed..... the rain shower is OK. Once water passes through an instant and sometimes storage heater , the water supply ( & pressure) thereafter coming out is effectively reduced.
