  4. Yup, last time too bo chap, thought ID will make sure everything ok, but sad, end up not very happy. so this time round, will make sure follow-up tight tight ; p Have build pretty good rapport with Andrew liao, he almost know what I want liao. So should be pretty ok. And also, will be very open about the reno as well, we both have expectation and he is also sharing a lot with me, especially in technical design and limitation, materials etc etc etc. As for budget, should be still within. As my original quote, I have a few items are like here do 1/2, there do 1/2, but base on standard, they have a minimum charges for doing anything, so now is like, by doing full (i.e. Floor), he nolonger have to take care of some corners, hence some of the 1/2 job here & 1/2 job there no more required to charge, replace with full flooring, so in term of overall, shouldn't be much (verbally lar, cause only this morning decide one) :jawdrop: BTW, work have started and have not revise the quote yet. So on this one, will have to chase him a bit :bangwall: Maybe arrange to go his office, do it together, print & sign on the spot. :notti: wow... delivering soon. ; ) all the best ; ) Got May 'Jiao Gor' mar, so contractor super on the ball ; p
  5. Oh... Like that good ley. At least when renovating, you can drop by every morning and evening to 'supervise' :sport-smiley-004: Basically, I will drop by every morning and evening (before and after work), to make sure things are in place :sport-smiley-004: Very KS hor. :bangwall:
  6. Actually possible, cause for paint, sometimes will need to mix with water as it might be too thick. If suay suay, got contaminated, it can be really stinky one. So for that case, bo bian will have to get new one lor.
  7. Oh ya, need to re-do my aircon trunking, anyone have good lobang to intro ? Current Aircon only 2 years old, so no point changing, will just need to redo the trunking (seems like owner change system w/o changing trunking, so trunking very very old liao). Also anyone knows the agar market rate for trunking work for system 3 ? 3 Bed room side by side. So very straight forward and generally I believe can use back existing trunking hole.
  8. Ay !!!........ mmmmmm... I thought you will only be collecting your keys on 12th June ? How come now move in liao ar ??? *lost lost*
  9. Hur !!! U drove pass my place ; p BTW, smooth smooth. ; ) Monday : - Afternoon : Calling HDB officer, check out Reno Permit status, as still pending with HQ, but explain to her my situation, hopping to move in during school holiday. So she kind of understand and said that shouldn't have any problem and ask my contractor to check again on Tuesday Morning. - Evening : Drop by for final inspection, ok, sui sui. Got all the keys from seller. So go home, makan & rest a while, ride my bike over to do detail walk through and check !!!!! = Faint : found out that there are more than what we saw :bangwall: = Got my wife down onsite, talk through, discuss, finalized on the spot. = Called Andrew. Arrange to talk Tuesday Afternoon.... Tuesday : - Morning : Good news. Reno Permit approved - Afternoon, walk through the detail with Andrew & he agrees : = Here are the changes : - common bath room (do) - Kitchen wall (all go) - electrical work (re-wire whole house) - meaning, all cronies go - 1 window, replace sliding to 1 pair of casement window - Evening : Collected Keys from legal firm, paper work done. Sui sui - Night time, go down onsite, finalized with wife on discussion with Andrew. Sui. Wednesday : - Morning : Protection on Living room flooring done = Hacking started... = Talking to Andrew : Kitchen flooring, (if keep, will be a sore thumb) = Talk talk talk talk, give me some $$$$ idea to spend...... think think think think... .OK.. HACK, replace kitchen floor :sport-smiley-004: Have taken some pix. Will share later when I have time.
  10. Called HDB. The officer said its still with HQ !!! Ask contractor to login tomorrow to check again :bangwall: PRAY PRAY PRAY..... tomorrow collect Key... following day start all my HACKING !!! 8| (not on the butt, but on the wall :P )
  11. I think it will..... test test... (or will it be me to bring this post to page 52 !!! :sport-smiley-004: )
  12. Ho ho ho ho..... Collecting Keys tomorrow...... :dribble: Zzz Zzz Zzz Zzz.... no news to my Reno permit. :bangwall:
  13. You can try using those anti-fog for cars. Think once dried liao, will not fog. But best to try at a corner of the glass 1st, cause its like wax, after application, it will be a layer on the glass.
  14. Nice... Waiting for more pix :sport-smiley-004:
  15. For the wall, i think pretty ok lar, cause if green green algae come out, will looks very very run down kampong type of wash room mar. ; p But if black black, than will have to scrub scrub lor. So far have a helper, so still ok lar ; p Thanks for helping to check. You can email me lar, cause I don't check RT often. email : battle66@gmail.com. As for tap/mixer, agree with May, very difficult to find a suitable one. So far those that I like, or so call suitable (tall enough long - to wash pots, long enough - should be aiming at 900mm sink, steady enough - some very shaky feeling when turning the tap), are all mixer. Seems like no choice ley :bangwall:
  16. So I trying to do my part in saving our precious earth. Save the Tres. I use laminates or Vinyl lor :sport-smiley-004:
  17. No lar. She testing if anyone still readying her Blog.... :sport-smiley-004: :sport-smiley-004:
  18. Ya... agree. ; ) Solid wood, good & hard one sure very $XXXXX one :jawdrop:
  19. :P BTW, do you have pix of your kitchen at night ? with lights on :P Base on imagination, the the color combi, it actually makes the kitchen looks very sexy. ; p I believe night with lighting will further brings out the design & color scheme. :notti:
  20. Oh, didn't know that. Last time when I was at Salvation Army store @ Bt Timah, I same many wooden furniture. Thought as long as good condition and quality, they will take.
  21. LOL..... than burn a bit for them lor, as "processing fees" :sport-smiley-004: Good also, shred and recycle. :thumbs up:
  22. Oh, for me is that I wanna see mar, so even before Andrew can do that taking, I already go take out liao ; p I personally like woody feel, very raw and natural. Like those old kampong houses with wooden floor (not so polish, can feel the wood grain type). Nice.. ; p
  23. Yup. It is really very helpful to test on the spot. Very very efficient, at least we know which is slippery and which is not on the spot. (Oh BTW, I did took the sample home for reference and testing :D ) Very funny yesterday, when he arrive at SBH, the staff actually pre-warn him not to remove the tiles (cause after his viewing, many tiles got mess-up, they have to re-arrange accordingly). But funny thing is that for me, after seeing how the sales guy remove the tiles, I also go take out those I like one, go put along for comparison. (like the pix I shared). 1 tiles from the shelf behind, 1 in front, 1 on the velcro wall ; p (think I'm the only 1 DIY, just take the tiles without asking from the SALES personnel) :P As for the rest (kitchen, living room, bedroom0, I won't be doing, the existing tiles (ceramic) are in very good condition, no chip or crack line etc. Only some part will be replace by (white tiles as near to original as possible) due to hacking of walls. (if in future, really condition turns bad, will just overlay with laminate. now a days, the laminates feel very very nice. I pretty like them).
