  1. Wow your stone lions look really impressive!

I liked the aggressive looks in their eyes, very "siong" :D

And the gadgets they are holding onto looks great too. Such intricacies so beautifully crafted. 1 male & 1 female with a baby lion...

Is this shop located in M'sia?

U must have paid alot for it!

Hi edenstrauss, I had it done in China (Chongqing).

I love the aggressive looks and hope it can guard my home and protect my family. Heehee...... :P

Actually didn't pay much for it, initially was quoted RMB 600 without the baby lion but insisted to have it so in the end paid RMB 800 (SGD $160) for it with the baby lion.

  2. Thanks for all the advices and suggestions.

Have tried searching around locally but can't find the lions' style which I like or with the right measurement.

Luckily during Chinese New year when I went back to China (Chongqing) to pay visit to my In Law, I came across a shop that do stone carving. Requested the sifu to help me customize a set of the stone lions to the measurement I required, furthermore I need it urgently as I need to fly back to Singapore the next few days.

Initally require 10 day to complete the job but after much persuading from me and my wife, the sifu finally agree to help me to complete it within 4 days instead.

And below is the picture I took during the collection of the lions from the shop and must say i really love the aggressiveness of this set of lions at first sight.

    Cheers !!!

  3. The shop was recommended by my ID; previously they are located at IMM, but now shifted to Kaki Bukit. The shop name is 'Shop 8 Renovation & Decoration'. I paid $788 for the complete set as seen in the picture, including installation. Model is TPS 330 / 25". It is fully extendable upto 7 feet length. See my illustration in the picture. My friend came today to visit me, and commented that the lifting mechanism seems sturdy, good.

The rope you see in the picture is meant for clipping & holding up bedsheets for drying.

Hi Mae... yes it indeed look very sturdy, the quality is something that caught my eye. I'm currently looking for something to be use and hang indoor at the laundry yard.

Thanks for the info, btw if you have the address of the shop would u mind to let me know if it doesn't cause much hassle to you.

  10. Hi guys and gals, I'm new to the forum therefore would really appreciate all your kind guidance and comments.

Recently just commit to purchase a 2+1 resale condo, so I pretty excited abt it since this is the 1st time I purchase my own property.

Would like to enquire whether should I have a FSM to audit my unit first prior to getting a Renovation Contractor to discuss and do up the ID drawing ?

Or should I get the Renovation Contractor to draw out the ID then get a FSM to audit the unit, from there then adjust any required changes on the drawing ?

Appreciate all view and comments.... Cheers !
