Got more updates! I was on leave today because curtain was coming, tv and mounting was coming, StarHub was coming and Plumbers was coming. I can finally use internet in my home and I can poop and pee in my toilet. Sounds gross but it's such a relief! I was also cleaning the cabinet all day. So tiring!

I didn't go with BPS contractor. But apart from the initial quote I nvr ask leh. So maybe will get a big shock at the end.

yes it was overlay, the contractor said it was v. difficult. but i hope the invoice won't be too scary.

Thanks kingandbin so far my contractor can give me reasons for everything that didn't go as i wanted. so i normally will accept his reasons la. can't wait for it to be over to move on as well!

Hello all today should be the last day of carpentry. I was only there for 30 min so I didn't see the final for some. Everything was quite smooth overall but there were some minor hiccups which were solved v fast. For my 3 bedrooms, I love the cut out design which I copied from somewhere haha. But I am also v particular about the GAP and I really wanted thin GAP between each cabinet. Happy they realised my dream.

Carpentry installation has started. Doors also have been installed. Cannot wait to move in!

the screed wall has dried. A dear Friend of mine is an avid painter and she painted a piece for my dining room. Think she said it was inspired by waterfall and hope it will bring us luck and wealth. I don't really understand art but I like such abstract art. Thank you so much!

Been a Long week. Whole family took turns to fall sick from cough to stomach flu. Screeding of dining room wall is ongoing today. The cement is still wet so it looks abit dark. Will become light grey tomorrow. All the lights have been installed as well as sanitary fittings for shower and toilet bowls. All the electronics came as well and thanks Kah hock for the free iphone dock and speaker. Grills also were installed. This deserves a whole post on its own. It is their 2nd trip actually and looks like there is going to be a 3rd. But I am too drained to talk about it now.

Went down to my house to see a BIG surprise. Painting is complete and ah Heng cleaned the whole house. I Guess the cardboard cover will go over the HERF tomorrow. Lucky we came today. love the paint in my boys room so much. A great idea that jay and I came up with after being so tired from laminate selection. Made use of the box up hollow area to create a two Color scheme! Even my Son loves it.

Hi swirl every brand has a "HERF" like series. HERF is from Evorich brand and I chose it cause my Sister used it and I like how it feels. Think most important is practicality for us. With kids (pets for some) we need something water proof and scratch proof. It contains no wood so that's the key. Wood tiles are the same concept but u don't get the wood feel but will be cheaper. I don't know much about other Brand so I cannot advise u on comparison.

Carpentry is starting construction since Wednesday. Things should be on track for us to move in...fingers crossed. Herf flooring is completed yesterday with hazelnut Color. Herf is a kind of vinyl that contains no wood but looks and feel like wood. It is resistant to scratch dent or water and so hopefully it will last. Boxing of aircon trunking also completed painting going on today and tomorrow and my sinks and toilet bowls are here!

Hi 15may, for paint I went with Dulux easy clean cause I have kids. We just did the generic white white color. for gray I cant remember, we chose like veil/snowfield and stucco? for different patches of wall.

Yes. It was tiring. My paint selection was done in 20 min. Too tired after laminate selection.
