  1. The 13A sockets are MK. As for the "touch" switches, no brand is indicated on them. My contractor just show us a sample before installing them. We not a big fan of expensive switches.
  2. Close-up of the vanity laminate. Love it! Moving on to the shower area...... Before After Hafary feature wall tiles, KDK ventilation fan, Hansgrohe shower head and Ikea shower curtain rod. WTB loves the effects of the wall tiles. Mesmerizes her. The initial plan was to install shower screen (sliding door type). After much deliberation, we decide not to put another screen in the already cramp toilet. So we decide to KISS (keep it simple and sweet), shower curtain that's it.
  3. The call of Nature... Before After This is our MBR Toilet. Due to the mickey mouse size of HDB toilets, our contractor told us we are unable to have two basins inside. We searched high and low for a long basin. I decided against a counter top basin due to space constraint. With an undermount basin, the remaining of the countertop can still be used to put toiletries. It's all about function before form. As for the mirrors, both "side mirrors" can be open to reveal storage rack for toiletries.
  4. Originally we were given a ninety degrees sharp corner that could kill a chicken if it didn't see and walk into it. Did I mention that my WTB persuaded the contractor to redo n produce the rounded corner? She's the street wise one n I'm the nerdy one
  5. Hi Terencectw, I tend to agree with Sheepz that you definitely need to hide these condiments especially when you are hosting guests. I'm curious that why didnt you place them in the cabinets underneath the cooking hob? That's what are practiced in my parents and parents in law house. Of course there is always the added effort of bending down to get them during cooking. I guess having a tidy kitchen needs effort. I'm already wondering if we need to clean the oven everytime we bake in the future
  6. Hi Terencectw and strikingreality, Thanks for the compliments! There's no no false ceiling in the MBR. we only have a small L-shape strip of false ceiling in the living room. Will post for final product soon. As you can see our reno works are very basic and nothing extravagant. Due to budget constraint mah. ; p
  7. Hi Jon, thanks for your offer. Bose is a really high end sound system and I'm sure the audio experience must be exhilarating! However I do not really have an AV room in my house so I don't really require such a good system. Thanks for offering though.
  8. Details of the bed frame as follows: Close-up of the laminate. We love that it gives a lot of texture and wood grains. And it has a subtle effect (not too loud). Here are the acrylic covering the lighting. We got the contractor to smooth out the sharp edges to avoid getting bruises next time. And the result was good!
  9. Our BED FRAME is completed now. From drawing to reality. Before and After Love it!
  10. Haha... Thanks for the explanation Terencectw!
  11. Snaem85, We're not really into the sound systems but AudioHouse may have some value for $ AV devices. Shawncck, We bought at Hafary, but I'm sure they can be found in other shops too.
  12. Actually only the lower third will be used to put shoes. ;p

  14. Hi Your dinning area looks great! Wallpaper is outstanding. Is the wallpaper a picture of yours? Can you PM-ed me your supplier? We are thinking of doing either wall decal or wall paper for some part of the house. If we can personalize a wallpaper based on our picture, that would be great! Thanks! M
  15. The mirror PD door is mainly for functionality as the WIW n toilet is adjacent to each other. WTB n I would need a mirror to dress up. Bifold door would certainly be cheaper (and more durable?) but we wanna have the choice of leaving the toilet partially open. So that one could dress up while the other half can still use the toilet This is something that bifold door can't give. My impression is that tempered glass us more expensive? Let me know if you need the cost of our PD-mirror door
  16. Hey kenjo, nice concept you got there looking forward to see the final masterpiece! Btw WTB n I are also fan of air and Grafunkt. We got the Taj sofa due to it's functionality (all fabrics are removable) and vast choice of colours n fabrics.
  17. We love this PD-Mirror-Door we got for our master toilet. We wanted to save some mirror space for our 'mini WIW' so we thought - why not have the door function as a full length mirror too. And there we have it. We initially thought there will be a partition in the middle (4 pieces of mirror) but am extremely glad it turns out there isn't. And up close(below) is our WIW LED light.
  18. Hi Snaem85, I must emphasis that our 40" LEDtv is the basic version (i.e. without 3D and Smart capabilities). I would suggest you to get your home theater system just before you move in. Especially TV, their prices drop very quickly. As for soundsystem, it really depends on your taste/expectation/standard/requirement. Do let me know what kind you are aiming for. For me, in an ideal world where my bombshelter is filled fill goldbars , I would go for the Scandyna pods: Actually I'm not very sure how much are those babies. My second choice would be the Yamaha soundbar: As we do not have a dedicated movie room, we feel is not necessary to splurge on sound quality
  19. Hey Terencectw, Ya, the original DB box and a 2x13A are concealed in the shoe cabinet. The laminate is call "Piano White".
  20. Wow Rottenramone Bro, your English is so cheem. Not sure if I understood fully. The lamp you referring to was originally black and the sales lady had it sprayed. And the reflection is my WTB's.
  21. Hi Terencectw and zone23, Have PM the prices of the respective items each of you inquired. Cheers!
  22. Our shoe cabinet is up! WTB is smiling from ear to ear.. With lights on, the glossy surface appears more obvious (below).
  23. Terencetcw, Well that's the thing about technology n gadgets. They depreciate faster than you can say "wtf". Ultimately important thing is u r satisfied n happy. If u r going for engineered quartz, we did ask Caesarstone to quote us on our 14 ft countertop. As mentioned earlier, it was more ex than granite n solid top. PM me if u wanna know the quote
  24. Hi Terencetcw, The dry n wet kitchen was born out of the need to separate the oily n smoky area from the clean side. We have a white framed sliding door to do the partitioning function. Secondly we feel a dry area would give the living/dining areas a sense of continuity (the dry kitchen has same floor tiles as living/dining). Finally the dry kitchen will serves as a place for making coffee n grab a bite before going to work in the morning. Overall we are satisfied with the effect.
