Is Q Acoustics good? The 1030 is a discontinued model, should I get it?

Went Adelphi again today. Tested the following combi. 1. Heco Victa 500, SUNFIRE Dual Driver Powered Subwoofer - SDS-10 and marantz sr7005 - The feel is quite good, but of cos this set more expensive. 2. KEF lowest range which cost about 3.8k (Only 5.1 without receiver) - Find that it's quite good for audio but not movies, maybe the sub not powerful enough.... I think when I mentioned my budget, he was quite shock... 3. Q Acoustics 1030, Velodyne CHT10-Q - Felt that the subwoofer is exploding.... Overall experience quite ok. (Wonder if too strong for my room. But heard that if I feel the base too strong, I can adjust to my liking) 4. Pioneer S-EU8 (Dun really like it, no impact) As Onkyo 609 is not here yet, cant test with this receiver. So I ask this shop, when can I test with 609? The guy smile and replied "no need to test with the receiver, as they are almost the same. Only features are different." Is that true? Or he take me as noob? I tried Marantz at his shop. Not even a 608.

Where is the best location to install switch of the centralised heater for both toilets? If I install outside the common bathroom, I had to go to the kitchen every morning to turn on before I can shower in the master bathroom. It also make no sense to install in the master room. Are there any solution? How about two switches... Wonder if it can be done.

Is multi eq also important? Why Onkyo? Cos they(the shops) recommended Onkyo for HTS.

I am really puzzled which receiver to get. Onkyo 609 or 708. Is 708 more future proof than 609? Do I need pre amp in future?

Wow.. Your budget range quite huge... Maybe you need to decide whether u wanna spend how much on HTS.

May I know what do u mean by right out of the box? Are they pioneer, sony which comes in a set? I'm newbie, so I just walk in to KEC or any shops and tell them that I need a HTS, will be installing in the room, I dun need the player as I will be using PS3, I dun need TV as I will be getting 3DTV separately. Is my approach wrong? Actually after hearing the setups above, to me its all about the same. Maybe I should go try out more. Wonder if Tannoy Arena will have a great difference.

First Set: Marantz 5005 + Morel Music Theatre 1 Second Set: Definitive Techo Pro 800 Speaker System + Onkyo TX-NR 708 Third Set: Cambridge Audio Minx M325 Package + Onkyo TX-NR 708 Hope to hear some comments/feedbacks for the above set-up which is within my budget. I'm more of a 80% movie person, this set-up is for my HTS room. Thanks.
