oh..ur contractor provide the lights fitting and sanitary ware? Mine dont include our ID only accompany us to choose and give ideas. And we only do the external for the wiw, the internal we gonna get it from ikea and set up ourselves. If all together should add up to 30K plus i guess.

37k? i do the whole house? alot of capentary work? We also got one contractor quoted us near to 40K..but got alot of carpenatry work

I'll suggest u get quotation from both ID and contractor first..u might be surprise some contractors price higher than ID. If ID price differences by not much, go for ID at least u get to see what ur house will look like before u go into renovation.. Me and hubby started looking around for ID and contractor even before our 1st appoint(we got a resale flat)..gotten quite a number of quotation from both ID and contractor before we conclude on our ID.

What kind of tiles? is it those white wall tiles? My ID manage to find it at Kim Guan Kee, located at 120 upper bukit timah rd. He got them at 100pieces for 60buck.

Actually why not engage an ID and get their perspective drawing first? For perspective drawing is only 10% of the contract price. So should be abt 2~4k depend on ur design and can change till you agreed. For us, my mother-in-law actually suggested that we pay the 10% to our ID to get hold at his perspective drawing and get a contractor to follow his drawing..but in the end we still decided not to engage contractor and let the ID engage his own contractor (cuz we found some contractor actually quote higher than the ID)..

yup as i said he's not the cheapest but as compare to some others his quote is more transparent (as in break down very detailed and less hidden cost so far) and more over give alot of free stuffs ~So far quite satisfied with our ID will upload some pics later tonight so far already finish all the wiring and monday will start doing air-con~

Yap with all those should be abt 27k++ we've abt 28 light points. After alot of bargin we manage to get from our ID free toshiba system 3, free 2 bi-fold door for toilet, free box up for kitchen piping and also free 2 light point..maybe got free vanity top for our mbr toilet too (discussion in process)...with all those I've practice to become very thick skin ~but for toilet acessories, bowl and sink gotta purchase ourselves den they install for us.. Gee ya big hole in the pocket..renovation cost abt 27k++..we rewired the hole house, change all the piping to stainless steel pipe. Hack and replace living, kitchen & toilet floor/wall tiles, laminate flooring for all 3 rooms. false ceiling at dinning and L box for living room. We also request to hack the wall at study to create a hidden door to the common toilet using fixture wall.. The original house is oki but some of the tiles are crack or missing. the kitchen cabinet also rotten maybe due to old age. The toilet floor got abit of urine stain.. After some discussion with my hubby we come to a conclusion, "since we already spend so much to get the house might as well do it nicely"~

We engage ID, our id is Gary from the interior place. We've got quite a number of quote before we decided on Gary. Though his quote wasnt the lowest neither was it the highest but still we decided to give him a try mostly becuase he's very patience with us and never even ask for a single cent from us even after he show us almost all the hand drawn design. He's also among the first few to reply us with quotation and request. Some ID/contractor dont even bother to reply us after we told them our budget and the amount of job need to be done.

abit heart pain cuz initially is only abt 5.2k...now add up to near to 6.3k but haiz very confusing haha the seller move all the furniture le..we took the pic after we got the key but the seller never move out yet..

we got those furniture in a package..at first we thought that we have gotten a very gd deal but in between alot of confusion here and there and dunnu how come the sale person keep cancelling and rewriting the invoice...now whole package add to abt 6000+++...but too bad we've already paid over 2k+ of deposit so gotta bare with the confusion just hope that everything will be fine...

Today the contractor will start to do the rewiring of the whole house...well so far the floor/wall tiles are quite nicely done up and our id has been very hardworking in supervision of the work. We are very excited and in 1 month time we'll be able to move into our cozy place~oh btw my id is Gary from interior place~gee hopefully by helping him do some free advertisment will get more discount in the end
