  1. Hi Nimzo, renovation alone is 30k. Lightings and all other accessories and furniture is another 10k...
  2. Hi Tiler Seng, can we convo via SMS? Would like to find out more. I sent a message to you at the number you listed in this forum. Could you kindly reply to me pls? Thanks again!

  4. Hello fellow pals, it's been a while since my last update. My place is done and I've slowly moved things back. Tried taking some pictures of the done up place with my iPhone cam. Kitchen Dining Living
  5. Hey bros and sis, need some help. I bought a cooker hood and hob from Turbo and am shocked to find out that the hood doesn't come with a 3-pin plug! Is that normal? What do I do with it and will the warranty be void if I install the 3-pin plug myself? Just met the contractor at my house and really blood boil when I talk to him. I only asked a simple question like why is the light casing crooked? And he swamped me with blames on the light and the shop where I bought the light from. My friend was with me and she, too agreed that his attitude and tone of speech totally cannot make it. Urrggghhh, I'm just complaining here as an outlet cos I really am fed up with him.
  6. Hi PBS, I'm a sis, not a bro I got the shelving unit from Ikea. It's actually 2 separate units, 1 with the exposed shelves - $39 and 1 with the mirror - $89.
  7. Rover: yeah, using Joven instant heater. The connection has not been done (see why below) hence not sure about water pressure with heater on yet. I'm staying on 3rd floor. Dreaming: thanks for the support and encouragement. Guess it's not easy when I have to manage all these on my own, hence I'm already exhausted by this stage. And well, the schedule I provided earlier doesn't stand at all. Contractor seem to be in his own world and all the services are jumbled up. Plumber came on Monday instead. Electrical works weren't done and will not be done until 29 Oct. Solid surface hasn't arrived till now, and no paint touch ups so far. I was pretty upset when I went back to the place last night. Quite disappointed especially when I saw so many defects. Also, I tried to contact him yesterday morning and he machiam dead. No sound no picture. I needed to know it someone will be around cos the bedroom lights are faulty and contractor insisted I get the boss (from where I bought my lights) to come take a look. But then contractor say it's not his business. The light casing came off eventually... And contractor said I bought cheap lights. It's only bedroom lights but still it costs almost 90 bucks Loh. I'm super du lan by the contractor's attitude and character.
  8. Master bathroom You will see that I have gotten the plumber to switch the rack above the basin to the side of the basin. Looks neater and more space for washing face etc. But just gotta make do with the 2 little 'nuts' on the tile... Feature Wall REJECTS!!! ceiling fan is so crooked and marker inks on my laminates So much stains and marker inks on the limestone too! Don't think I wana go back and see anymore. Very sian to see such things
  9. Oh, it's Kian Seng Heng. One of the better contractors managing carpentry works around... Well, I've heard good feedback on them hence thought I can fang xin.
  10. Based on your 'quote', I will fall under the last category? Lol... I don't know about quality yet but carpentry works is done by KSH, wouldn't worry about that. In fact, I don't think my contractor is good. Too calculative with me, he even have cheek to bring up subject like wasting his petrol, when I'm paying him so many thousands. I will not use his service again and am hesitant recommending to others... If you are really keen, let me know and I'll pm you...?
  11. Thanks Sleek! It's only 1 more week to completion, I think this could be the fastest renovation project ever 17 Oct: touching up of paint job and electricals 18 Oct: remaining plumbing works/ laying of floor laminates for bedroom: laying of solid surface 19 Oct: cleaning up of entire place 20 Oct: installation of all glass doors and toilet doors Unfortunately, my bedroom and main doors will only be installed on 28 Oct :S Nonetheless, I'm so looking forward!
  12. Carpentry works continued on a Sunday! That took me by surprise... Here's the 'almost completed' kitchen cabinets Love the box up for the rubbish chute area Living and dining area
  13. Quite comforting to see my carpentry works though... And these are done today Kitchen cabinets Feature wall Notice the trunking above the feature wall? I'm very upset by the sight of it...
  14. It's been some time. Lots happened in between: 1) contractor found his own contact to re-install Open Net at a lower cost. Whatever... 2) paint Colour all gone wrong. Only 2 colours and he could mix it up 3) ceiling fan needed a longer bar due to false ceiling drop, contractor blamed me for it (!!!) 4) lights installed but connection to switches all in wrong place 5) bedroom lights cannot be completed because bulb holder protrudes out and glass piece cannot be slided across Lost 1kg in the past week. How nice... Here are the photos: Half completed LeGrand, Clipsal, Schneider (in that order). Y? Due to communication breakdown and serious coordination issues with contractor (what else is he capable of?) With lights on Common bathroom Master bathroom Kinda regretted having the rack above the basin in the master bathroom. Due to space constraint, I opted for a smaller basin but didn't realize it's really that small. Gotta be careful when using the basin so I won't knock onto the rack loh... Haizzzz
