Hi firehorse & Konz How will u all be extending the SCV point in the living rm? My ID proposes to lay the wiring below the living rm tiles, across to the other side. Dun feel comfortable abt this cos if the wiring suay suay spoiled, there'll be no way to rectify it since its below the tiles. R u all doing the same?

Firehorse... yeah, the bomb shelter is really an eyesore. The shelter door shd be facing the main entrance side instead of the living room. Now we have to think of ways to conceal the door. Thinking of using wallpaper or dark color paint to 'camouflage' the shelter door & wall instead of a feature wall. Btw, your tv feature wall will be at the side opposite the bay windows? So you need to do additional SCV & power point for the tv right? I plan to do the same. Somehow, it feels better to place the sofa beside the windows.

Hi firehorse.. My home has the same layout as yours. I'm staying at Blk 487. Haven started reno yet. For the bomb shelter cabinet, do you worry that it will make the kitchen entrance very narrow? I initially plan to do a similiar cabinet to cover the bomb shelther but was advised against it by my ID. May have problem moving in the fridge or washing machine next time.

Haven really source for ID or contractor yet. Will be mtg 1 this wkend. Recommended by a friend. A bit tight on budget & will prob get a contractor since we more or less know what we want. Quite sad to see that the master bedroom is so small! Wanted to do WIW but guess its not possible with this kind of size.

Hi all SBW Homers I'll will be selecting my sbw flat(sbw green) on this thurs(walk-in selection). Juz wanna find out from u all abt the area: 1) I saw quite a few foreign laboureres cycling ard the area. Juz wondering if there are any workers quarters nearby, esp near the shipyard? 2) SBW Green seems to be quite near the shipyard & the senoko power station. Does anyone has any issue with dust or air quality prob near there? Glad if someone can advise pls. Tks!
