  1. Yes, you are right.

I took a few pictures this morning with my iphone to explain what it means and how my electrician programmed the lights in my MBR:

The main switch and the default setting; the 3 downlights at entrance walkway of my Master Bedroom:

Programming sequence for the rest of the lights:

If I am using the remote control, I just leave the main switch ON, and press the button A, B, C or D on the remote control device to switch ON and OFF, with one press only.

Thanks for the pic and explaination... now i got a clear pic... I will tell my electrician what to do...

  2. Hi, bro Shawn

Thank you for visiting my blog here :)

Yes, still need to install normal switch for the lights, and the switch has to be remained "ON" before we can activate the remote control for the lights.

One minus point - my remote control is now faulty and electrician is coming this Sat to check what's wrong with it. :( Heard from my electrician that this kind of remote control breaks down quite frequently.

Thanks for the reply mae. Your "ON" state meaning I need to have the switch for the light point to be on b4 i can use the remote??? Currently my electrician install the remote for me but without normal switch... meaning i can only on the light w remote... which i think is not quite logic... What happen if remote is faulty which happened in ur case...

Think my electrician quite lousy... need to get them to retify it...

Btw can i check how much u get for the lumi light at bedok?

  3. It's can be hack, but why does your Id says no? Ok it's because when the hacker hack the frame it might affect the wall tiles. And why wall and floor tiles cannot be touch for new flats? It's because hdb had done the water proofing and they does not want your contractors to damage it. :yamseng:

Douglas, u got me blur again.... So can hack or cannot?? I know wall tiles cant... but frame can anot??

  4. if resale yes, if new.. nope. No hacking is allowed for toilets wall or floor tiles when new. If you change the door frame, you'll need to hack the wall tiles for sure.

This should be for about 3yrs?

But hacking of door frame doesnt hv to hack wall tile rite?? just the frame itself... I read on HDB guideline on reno that all door frame at any location can be hack.... but my ID say cannot... i oso blur...

  5. Hi Sooks,

I think you don’t need to be worry too much. Cos I’m also one of Species customer. I bought a sofa and a dining set form Kris. Already deliver up afew months back. They’re service not too bad and the sofa nicely done. Maybe you can look for her. As I mention above sometime forums can’t be trusted 100%. Cos I’m in car trade also got a lot of bad remark. As I say which trade got no bad remark? Even a 5 star hotel also got bad remark. Try not to listen too much from others. Just go from your heart which one you really like. Never try never know. Just like choosing your future love one. Ha! Happy Buying..:)

Not true... I buy from them and their product really cant make it... defects and 2 month waiting for replacement...

U will regret if u buy from them

  6. Actually i just visited a friend's place. They painted the door the same color as the walls around it and they pasted stickers onto the door. The final product is actually quite nice. Of course you need to chose the right stickers and place them in a ummmm nice manner? Anyway i think that is pretty cool and simple and of course, save you a few hundreds.

I have already painted it same colour... but i dunno what sticker to paste... sticker u mean wall decal rite??

One thing is the door handle very ugly... too big... dun like it... any suggestion?

  7. Opps I think i am late for this reply. I guess your Id have already shown you the differences.

My id show me the LG sample... but i was told the amount will be double that of normal solid top...

I still thinking changing anot... very expensive

  8. Hi shawncck, my kitchen top still shine and white, i always clean the surface after cook and wash.

I remember my ID told me that LG has special polishing method to make the surface smoother and more shining compare to normal polishing, it can last longer and reduce the water stain also. Maybe you can check with your ID. :)

Thanks for the info ynwa, I meeting my ID tonite. Hope I can have shinning surface too...

Previously he only give me china brand which dun shine...

Btw is LG solid surface more expensive??

  9. Hi Shawncck,

Solid surface is semi shine i can say that. The shine will not last more then 5 years, depending on the user how they maintain and usage. But dont worry about it, solid surface can be re-polish. Other then solid surface, you can try granite tops which are very shiny if you are choosing the black galaxy. But the price is much higher then solid surface. If you have an appointment ID or contractor ask them to show you the samples. :)

    Cheers!

Thanks for the info. I meeting my ID tonite but i want to know which are the type of material that shine beforehand...

Does LG solid top shine more compare to other china brand top?? I saw LG got this HI-MACS Acrylic Solid Surfaces... izzit different from the normal solid top and does it shine more??

  10. I wanted to have a shinning solid surface top for kitchen cabinet top...

But my ID suggest white solid surface top from china which does not shine...Anyone know if LG brand solid top shine?

And does the shine last? If not, anyone can suggest any material for top for a shinning surface... Thanks..

  13. Hi Shawncck,

We use granite for all the vanity top in the common and master toilets. The sinks just 'sit' on top of it as in the picture below:

As for our kitchen top, it was (if I remember it correctly) LG solid top.

    Regards,

    Reiki

Thanks Reiki, can i oso check what type/color of granite u use?? It is so shinning... izzit galaxy black?
