  1. Have to say thumbs-up to Vohringer (my floor laminates) for the fast response and gd service in repairing my floor laminates. We noticed gaps in the floor laminates, possibly due to contraction or expansion of heat...or movement. Contacted Victor from Vohringer about it. He immediately arranged for his support staff to come down the following day. Closed up all the gaps. All free of charge as covered under lifetime warranty. Really no regrets about choosing Vohringer laminates for my floor for my house. Fantastic post-sales, post-reno service.
  2. One year plus into my renovation...some issues are showing up due to workmanship / quality of materials / design of the house... time to see if they can live up to what they promised and warranty against..
  3. oh yah I thought you were referring to my laminated floor. For my carpentry laminates, still looks good, don't seem yellowish at all. Chose glossy so that scratches would not be so visible and aging as well. With the LED mood lighting, they will reflect whatever colour theme I choose.
  4. They are matt. So far so good, no signs of turning yellowish at all. In any case, Vohringer laminates have lifetime warranty against wear-through, stains and colour fading from exposure to indirect sunlight or normal artificial light in a residential environment. So I guess they are pretty confident it will not turn yellowish as well. Very happy with the laminates still.
  5. pls pm me for any queries ;)

  6. Couldn't resist this white minimalist digital clock in the end...matches the white minimalist theme of my place too well...and a coincidence it comes with LED too... on its own without feature wall lights with orange lights with pink lights with blue lights
  7. Hi, you can refer to my previous post on light cubes to get more info.
  8. There is also another set of rgb led at the ceiling cove lights that was not shown in the 3D but if u look at the actual pic i posted in my thread you will see it. The tv console feature wall and ceiling cove lights are all controlled by one remote, so they will all synchronized to the same color when I press the remote in the living room. However there are actually 2 separate controller so if I really want, I can have a different colour for the ceiling cove lights and the feature wall lights by using the remote close to one of the controller do that only one set of lights change. Yes the electrician connected the cable to a light switch so that I can use it to turn on the lights. One for the feature wall and one for the ceiling cove lights. The laying of the led strip is Quite easy as they come with 3M double side tape so u can opt to do it yourself or ask your electrician. The price and location for the white storage bench and light cubes I posted in this thread, you can look through in the previous pages of this thread as I cant rem now. The cubes need to be charged via your power socket so you have to connect them to charge once in a while. One full charge can last for at least one whole night and more so you can use them without need to recharge for one event. Hope that helps.
  9. Hi Xenoblue, Have pmed you the contact Have Fun!
  10. Hi I understand that Jon has left summit design studio and his manager Eric has taken over the rectifications for my place. You may wish to contact summit design directly via email to get more info. Their website is www.summItdesignstudio.com.sg Good luck!
  11. So far the 2 rectifications below seem to have lessen the leaking at my neighbour's kitchen ceiling. 1) Reworking the drainage areas in my toilet and kitchen 2) Rerouting the aircon pipe However, there's still one area at the ceiling that continues to be wet. There don't seem to be any other source of possible leakage as the water inlet pipes are all exposed. So they concluded that it is likely due to some minor leakage at the toilet waterproofing which they will need to hack up the toilet and redo the waterproofing layer at the end of the month. Hopefully that will solve the problem once and for all. It's really not so easy to trace the source of water leakage...
  12. They are actually storage stools, where there's a door on one side you can open and put things. I got the 2 storage stools, white dining table, the storage bench which cost about $1.1K from Starliving Furniture as a set. We got it from the outlet at International Furniture Centre. They have the all black version as well. Only 2 colour choices back then. You can goto Star Living and check if they still have this. Hope it helps.
  13. Just an update on the leakage problem...seems that my neighbour ceiling still leaking after they fix the drainage. The damage seems quite widespread across their kitchen ceiling, but the interesting thing is that the ceiling area above the toilet is not stained. Only the surrounding, so it was quite challenging to determine the cause of the water leakage. Now they are doing a ponding test of my bathroom to see if my bathroom is flooded with water, whether will the leakage get worse downstairs.
  14. Thanks. Have PMed you the contact. You can also walk around Sim Lim Towers for the other shops. The LED lights are still serving me well.
  15. For the white dining table, the storage bench and 2 storage stools (at the side of my sofa) cost about $1.1K from Starliving Furniture as a set. We got it from the outlet at International Furniture Centre. They have the all black version as well. Only 2 colour choices back then.

  18. yeah hope so too...will soon find out after they fix it on Sat..
  19. Not yet...they are coming down this Sat to fix the water drainage pipe areas as they suspect the water leakage is from there. If this can solve the leakage problem, then no need to hack the whole floor. Other parts of rectification works still pending also. I've told them I prefer the rectification works on weekends or if they can all the workers to come on a weekday then I can take leave to accommodate. Else, it will have to be only on weekday evenings after I come home from work. I've been patient though, never really rush them or what as I know they can be busy with other projects so long as they fix up the problems within a reasonable period of time.
  20. Thanks. My windows were installed by Alex. You can get his contacts and quote from his website here. Alex Windows Good luck!
  21. I used Nippon paint "Sail White" colour code 1199. See the chart below..
  22. Hi Patricksng, Have PMed you. Gd luck in your search!
  23. I bought the dining set which includes the white storage dining table, the storage bench, 2 storage stools (which I am using as side table next to my sofa) and it costs about $1.1K. If you are just looking at the table and bench..will probably be cheaper. There was also a black version at the Star Living shop near Labrador. The black table has an additional glass top, which I thought was quite cool. The induction hob I got from Bosch was quite good. Maintenance wise is a breeze...just wipe clean after every meal or use a sponge with soap for the more messy stains. I had some problems with it earlier when I used a lousy quality china-made induction wok which stained the hob. Just make sure you get a good quality induction kitchenware like Tefal or WMF etc. It probably helps to transfer the heat better also. Maintenance wise I think is definitely easier than the traditional gas hob where you have to remove the accessories to clean. Electricity bill will be more expensive, but this also means no gas bill for the house at all. What I read is that induction transfers heat better than gas fires but how much does that really translates with the difference in electricity and gas charges is anyone's guess
