Jaren, nt sure how much are the switches w/o LED lights. but mine cost a bomb my vanity top juz threw last week. my mum also asked mi for my old bedroom doors after it was threw away. she wanted to changed her 3rm bedroom doors. jaren di-di, u so young. mi gonna turn 25 next mon liao. corridor units all got full-height for living room. different fm 5rm corner unit n EA fo re-sale, HDB will not re-lay for free... oni new units bought fm HDB directly. jaren, i'm at 297B lor.. the oni one i've changed all the sanitary ware in both common n master toilet. hate the grey colour sanitary ware especially. not changing the doors coz already spent too much on sanitary wall. no $ to over-lay or spray the toilet also.

so far 2yr liao, nv lose $$. heng ar... i buy low risk funds, earn little but safe.

i oni parked away enough for 1yr+ and my hubby's 2yrs+. hopefully the growth fund we invested in make some more $$.. so far already made enough for a few more mths of monthly payment.

there is a 7th floor unit (unit no. end with 166?) which was our dunno no. wat choice, 3rd or 4th ba? but hubby said oni if the first two choices dun haf den can take coz he find $300k++ is too much liao we parked some of our CPF funds away before we make the deposit for our nest. paid up to abt 28% of the $284k+ and misc fees of our nest. like dat already need to service $840/mth $820/mth for 30yrs loan on $209k. the way i calculate if the $820 is the same for every mth, it seemed like i paying lotsa of $$ to HDB as interest leh.

i tink fm 6th floor onwards got full height windows liao. my sis and some other people also asked mi y nv get higher floors. too expensive liao leh... $300k+++ still gotta do grilles for full height windows. mine 3rd floor, monthly loan payment to HDB already abt $840 for 30yrs. how much is urs?

i didn't koe our cluster got 4rm leh.. i tot all 5rms and EAs. 4rm is the one near the lift? u mean the previous owner nv even reno the place b4. the flat got stay b4?

Jaren, $170k is ok lah.. i can't even get housing grant. we are at 297A and 297B, u leh? my reno is completed liao. my hubby will go the final checking tonite, if everything ok... we'll ask ID to take back his lock tml evening. my hubby n i also not much savings. our reno is already eating into our wedding funds

jaren, ur 4rm also in sengkang? tink for the price u paid, can get a new 5rm liao. when r u planning for ur customary? mine is in dec.

applefreak, how com skirting need someone else to cut n some more wan to charge extra??? my ID's tiler did everything leh, i even ask him to com by last sat on a last min decision to do skirting for my box-up wall. no extra charge incurred also. by rite the price for the tiling works should include everything mah.. how can suddenly wan to charge extra. Jaren, my hubby n i are staying alone. hubby dun wan 4rm, den no more new 5rms available.. left oni either re-purchased or re-sale. since the price of EA is not too high in sengkang, we got EA lor. got extra study room, no need to convert one bedroom to study.

no prob... maybe i'll salivate even more when i see the actual toilet in face. lol

linda, compassvale, applefreak n i staying at the same cluster in compassvale street.. two of them are in the same block but different floor, whereas i'm over at the next block. nvm la, even if u stay bt. panjang also can chat here one.

ya lor... not oni the toilet is nicer on the other side... still got kitchen, living room, etc.. applefreak, u going for beauty sleep liao ar? Gd nite!

applefreak, suddenly i find dat compassvale, u n mi are super active now... posting replies beri fast. i'm also trying to find something to block at my door coz i dun wan ppl to look in. but since mine is at the end, i dun tink alot of ppl is going to walk pass ba... initially we got a divider coz of the custom-made prayer altar. but the shifu advised my hubby to get those ready made altar table, so we cancelled the divider/prayer altar with our ID.

applefreak, ur unit is facing the corridor ar.. i tot urs will be same as mine, directly facing the opp. is another neighbour coz we haf the same layout mah. mine is next to staircase. my mum kept complaining FS not good coz door facing door. but i found i it oni looked directly facing each other coz in actually our doors are abt 1-2inches away from being aligned straight.

HDB beri clever, changed my floorings b4 i can make noise.. i cannot even top up n get homogenous tiles... oni managed to get them to hack my kitchen+service yard floor but i pay my ID to supply n lay tiles. tot can get them to hack the toilets also but sway sway they still can find the existing wall tiles. if we were to re-lay the toilet, it's gonna cost abt $1.3k per toilet. my ID quoted mi $380 for the doors but i tell him to throw in the lock and lever handle. he said he oni make $20 per door nia. i dun believe lor..

compassvale, actually the handing over should have been last week, but i wasn't satisfied with some of the painting works. so today ask the painter to repaint some areas. if my hubby check and feels dat everything is ok liao, we can ask ID to handover next week lor. hehe.. coz my hubby's surname is Kow, sound like cow hor. dats y my blog put barnyard lor.. tink my favourite two animals are cow and donkey (subjected to Eeyore oni). my AD is in dec but i'll move in b4 lunar 7th mth (angmoh aug). coz aug/sept i'll be busy with my final exams and also wedding preparations. dun wan to clash everything together.

applefreak, mi moving in b4 7th mth lah... provided nothings comes up unexpectedly.... ya lor.. i always complain to everyone dat my MBR is the smallest compare to the other rooms in the house. i like bedroom 2 coz it has the least beams. i so much wanted to hack the wall between the MBR and bedroom 2 to make it my MBR bedroom+WIW+private entertainment room but my hubby dun allow coz the value of our nest will drop. hmm, we are looking at staying there for long term, i dunno care abt the value lor. even the hacking of our study room wall took mi some time to pyscho him. the MBR slightly bigger than the study ba.. my fren and also the painter told mi it's better to have a bigger living room coz the bedrooms are oni for sleeping, no need to be so big. i tink we should consider ourselves lucky coz at least the rooms are not as small as those in HongKong. compassvale, ur solid veneer doors looked the same as mine leh, how com mine is $380.. am i cheated??? applefreak, u remember i like cows ar.. suddenly i remember i still got $20 tangs voucher haven use. can go tangs and get the cups. the sales is until when huh?

i like ur toilet leh... my dream toilet!! i oni managed to pyscho my hubby into changing all the sanitary ware n let mi have a vanity cabinet in the MBR toilet. but my MIL nagged at mi for wasting $$.
