  1. I think charging for the service is no choice... but waiting till 2012 is really mad.. haha.. thanks for the advice..
  2. Do you mean Singtel is going to install the opennet fibre optic layout for your house instead of opennet personnal? They are able to? Is the charges same as opennet?
  3. I see that you box up yr aircon pipe at the MBR... may I know what's the depth of the box up and material used? earlier on your picture show two set of 2" trunking running across the MBR.. that's for 2 or 3 blower? I have same problem for my aircon piping (going thru two rooms infact, and that's the only choice because the rooms are divided with beam in between, no way to run piping high).. but i try to minimize the depth of the box so it does not take up too much space of the rooms.. also, what's the additional cost of this box up per room?
  4. in fact for aircon best is check around within the retail... some website such as panasonic dun how their non-inverter aircon even they sell in retail.. from what I know, toshiba, panasonic, Mitshibutsi ELectric, Daikin is still carrying the non-inverter system 3.. but like i say, problem is whether they sell with an option to change one of the indoor unit. You might like to try retail like naturalcool, gaincity. sometime they have extra 12k indoor unit which they will let go..

    Aircon

check the differences in price in coolserve's website (as a guideline)... good luck!
  6. In fact a non-inverter system 3 will do, if you are cost concern. Efficiency is one which is subjective, depending on your usage. In some case it might takes many many years to so call "breakeven" the initial additional cost you paid. And that's provided the aircon lasted so long. Non-inverter system 3 usually comes in 2 compressor, usually a 09k for a single room and a 12k for the other two rooms sharing. In your case just need to upgrade one indoor unit from a 09k to a 12k indoor (and the piping as well). Then use the 12k indoor for the hall and the other two 09k indoor for the two rooms. connect it in such a way > 09k compressor goes to masterbed room, 12k compressor goes to hall and the "less frequent use" room. the 12k is sufficient for the 18sqm hall, provided you did not on the other "less frequent use" room at the same time. My dad house using this combination. Only problem you might face is - most brand are selling standard 3x 09k indoor, so you need to ask around and check if upgrade option is available.
  7. Wow.. ideal! But frankly it might not look good for long run, especially if the card board got condensated and water start to "disfigure it".. u might wana consider spend some $ and do a suspended mini-cabinet to box up the pump.. since afterall u had already spend so much on the reno.. also with proper insulation within the cabinet, you might be able to get rid of some vibrator sound.. haha..
  8. I see.. So all the gas pipe and drainage pipe runs into the false ceiling? Does the water pump create any annoying noise once awhile when activating?
  9. Hi, May I know how you run the aircon piping to the audio video room? from what i see from the floor plan drainage is a problem.
  10. Yes naturally if placing outdoor (on the outside wall bracket mounted) is allowed it is definitely prefered. For older EM do take note that you might have limitation on the current allowable for each outdoor unit (so called the compressor). You can actually refer to HDB guideline on aircon installlation in their website.
  11. Btw do you generally need to add a patch panel at the point of modem?
  12. one suggestion.. change your common toilet door orientation to the passageway along rooms instead of at the kitchen.. newer hdb house design...
