  1. Hi,

My ID used the calcium silicate board to cover the hole for the AC, but I'm not sure the sequence he did.

Below is the AC at the living room

I can't remembered how he run the AC pipes even he told us before. But overall, all the pipes were concealed and boxed up.

    Hopefully this helps. ;)

WOW! Nice! I still wonder how they punched a hole through the beam? Can I bother you to take the pictures of the blowers in your rooms and also the internal wall where the compressor located. I want to share this with Big A.

  2. Day 14

FINALLY! Plastering of the walls. (The sight of the original wall condition was a real eye score.)

I have the temptation not to paint the walls. Anyone try that before? Is it advisable?

Can't wait to return home to checkout the progress of the renovation.

  3. (3) The walls are not aligned right-angle. There is a slight 2-3degree (by my estimation) tilt, making the floor space a trapezium. Although 2-3 degrees do not seem much, running the 2-degree deviant over 4 metres show up the huge difference. Placing furniture will then also be a challenge.

It shows as right angles on the floor plan though. Not funny, HDB...

    You are not alone!

  4. Day 13

We went over to TAK Products & Services Pte Ltd (Headquarters) to check out their laminate. We were quite SURPRISE they would actually entertain us even though we are not IDs or contractors. (We did made an appointment first.) Other than the free sample kits & advices provided what amazed us the most was TAK insisted us to see and feel the actual laminate in the actual size. Is not an easy job to pull out and put back the laminates.

Two Thumbs Up for TAK! Thanks Susan and Alex.

Below are what we have short listed. Most properly we will select the solid color to keep within our reno budget.

  5. Your place is similar to mine.

For your MBR how did you cover the hole for AC? Did you first seal it up with concrete then do a box up?

Also you going to AC the hall? I am looking for idea to run the pipes and conceal with with box up. If possible I would love to see picture of the AC box up. Thanks.

  6. I still wonder if I was lucky. Due to the WC offset, Hoe Kee was not able to delivery our 2X 'ROZ 898 WC' at $368ea and was offered to replace with a set from GENOVO with no top up. I have to agreed. I have a project schedule to follow. Anyone here knows the cost of a CAPRIO WC?

  7. Ha I used this reference too. I'm 1.7m and my kitchen cabinet height (incl the thickness of surface top) is 90cm. Very comfortable.

Then you got to see who uses the kitchen more i guess...

I guess she just has to reference my height and I will get her a nice stool.

  8. OSRAM LEDCOMFO:

Chinese or branded LED downlight? I was contemplating for a long time. Finally I decided to go with OSRAM although it was assembled in China.

    Reasons

OSRAM manufacture her own LED Die

OSRAM don't use cheap LED driver

    OSRAM has better QC.

Most if all is only $24.73ea for a 9W before shipping.

To play SAVE I brought 2 units to test and realised they were excellence. The build was good and it don't feel nor look cheap. Only feel warm in my hands (Prove of efficiency). The light was very comfortable to the eyes. (Natural). Another order for 24x was just placed.

  9. Now my kitchen partition walls are all up. Hopefully the walls will frame up my cabinets nicely. Honesty speaking till now I have not idea which colour scheme I should go when the counter top I opt for is 'India Black granite'. I am toying with the idea of Grey. Any suggestion? Personally I prefer 'Kashmir White'. Maybe I will ask Big A how much is the difference.
