  1. hi cookcpu, this is the image of the interior of my LED. I believe you would have a PC diffusor to evenly distribute the LED light for max coverage. every single LED light bulb here is 'independent'. with much homework done and my past experiences working to calculate lumen indexes for projects work, so maybe im particular about the kind of light im getting, esp when it's one which is customized. these days, MR16 LED light bulbs are standardizing to a level of $25-$40. that is if one is particular with getting a particular brand LED MR16 bulb namely Megaman, Philips etc. If they happen to be those self imported products, i think they are extremely overpriced. well again, that's my 5cents worth of thoughts though. 'Cause as i was surfing through, and seeing the picture, the LED pic you taken, I have seen them in the previously course of my work, as it suggested, it's a '1 piece' large SMD LED useful for many places. This picture i've taken here is a 8W LED downlight i bought previously that's able to give a large coverage. I've bought it for about $80+ too. not saying that it's not a good buy.
  2. Hi.. just my few cents worth. the LED you shown there, is a 10W high powered 1 piece LED. LED itself has different application value, from spots to intensity and colour-rendering. there are heavier duties LED downlights consuming 8W but giving a LUX value of 900~1200lumen available too. personally i find that the price of this 10W led slightly more expensive.
  3. Prices are relatively standard. You can find them anywhere in Sheng Siong, Carrefour or NTUC. How many pieces of T5 are you looking at?
  4. MR16 is the base model number. You require a transformer to power up a MR16 base model LED/Halogen light = means more maintenance. When you don't know your bulb spoil or transformer. GU10 base LED are the direct ones. These bulbs are spotlight, just a different base model. Square casing is the common model to house them.
  5. You should consider walking to other places. Balest Road places are well known to jack price up, maybe that's why 35-40% discount. You can find the same brand item at other place I think.
  6. unsure cause i only need lights. since i walk along balest road, and compare prices, and they are all run by a single management, the price i believe will match up to its quality from what i get in Budget Light
  7. About 1.9k 18 pieces LED Round Light 4 Elmark Fans I sourced quote around Bales, all quote beyond $2k+
  8. Pushy no. Maybe i went down on a weekday, dislike the weekend crowd in lighting store. i don't remember who i was serve by. lightings.com.sg products are cheap, but their sales rep can't be bothered. its a 'buy if you want' heard of their non follow up thing because product is cheap there. maybe i have all the time there, the staff was able to explain and work accordingly to your budget. they have a showroom up in 2nd floor, same company, call Budget Deco, into the reno line, you can view the lights in your room concept. their emphasis is quality product at 'budget' pricing. warranty is cover for my products.
  9. did try lightings.com.sg prices are throw. relatively cheap products for most of their philips product. but i would say if people are looking for hanging pendant or more decorative lights, they should browse around too. their hanging lights in my opinion are mark up
  10. bought my LED downlights from Budget Lighting. I use the led round recessed type downlights after viewing their showroom, got all the 4" model from them, about 25 pieces. I compare between other light store along Jalan Besar. Got the downlights for about $75 a piece, and the elmark fans i get as well. maybe i will be going back for some common ceiling lights.. or anyone has other lighting store i missed?
  11. the name of the shop is Budget Lighting Pte Ltd. along the main road at Jalan Besar, opp Lavender Food center. Price is reasonable, still browsing other lights. They have another call Budget Bathroom somewhere down at Jalan Besar
  12. i jus post a thread about budget lighting at jalan besar. got my ceiling fans from them, elmark regency 56" and 52" 56" for my living hall and 3 52" for my study and bedroom. prices are $229 and $199, cheapest i find so far. they pack free remote with it whether you need or not. (others charge you $45+)
  13. anyone check out budget lighting shop at jalan besar? lights look modern. don't know if the price looks reasonable. didn't want to bring my designer because they get cover from shops at balesteir. anyone been there???
