Finally puchased some of home appliance from Audio House at Bendemeer Showroom. The price is as competitive as Everjoint but after manage to liaise the audio house manager in charge to get better discount. Example; a)Samsung Smart TV UN55D8000 - $3999(AH) $4355(EJ) b)Samsung Washing Machine 10kg - $615(AH) $645(EJ) c)Sony Home Cinema BDV380 - $445(AH) $475(EJ) d)Panasonic Fringe 6 Doors - $3480(AH) $3475(EJ) e)Samsung 32" LCD TV - $369(AH) $379(EJ) Why I chose Audio House? 1) Audio House is certified as CaseTrust while Everjoint is not. 2) Brought items more than $8k, Audio Hse can deliver all items on time, Everjoint not too sure 3) Free delivering -

Today, check out home appliances with my prepared list, below are my finding; 1) Euromask (Toa Payoh) - Visited the shop, wait for 15min and say will call or txt me back with the pricing. During that time, there isn't anyone in the shop except me and yet still cannot produce quote. Therefore will skip this shop, since no reply, I believe the delivery commitment will likely going to mess up as well. Until now, not a single call or txt from them. 2) Goh Ah Bee (Hougang) - Quite crowded inside the shop, went in and produce the list to the salesman and ask him the quote. Within 10min, price given however some items have no pricing cause they dun carry certain products. Example Samsung new model WA12GP washing machine and home cinema system. The deliver time is 1-2 days and payment is cash. 3) EverJoint (AMK) - Also quite crowded inside the shop, give the list and within 10 min got all the pricing in the list given The deliver time is 3 days and payment is cash. 4) Audio House (Bendemeer) - Walk into the shop, roam around for 10min and walk out immediately. Spoke the salesman in english on the Samsung Smart TV and home cinema , he utter back in some chinese and did not & dun know how to answer my question. The rest of the SA just ROC. Price wise not so attractive unless you sign up the DBS WoWme deal. Likely, will get it from Everjoint since it is slighty cheaper than GAB. Example $20 - $200 range cheaper Tmr will visit the Suntec Electronic Christmas expo held this weekend and check the price. -

Last Sat visited MGL to chose curtains and blinds after much review on the net. So decide to give a try... Upon reaching there, parked at the basement car park, took the lift to level 1 since there isn't level 2 button. Then walk up the stairs, saw Night Club, KTV all over the plaza , wonder is it the correct level or place. In the end, found it, located along the main road just outside the bus stop. Below are the items selected 1)Dining Area - Roman Curtain 2)Utility Room - Blackout Blind 3)Bedroom 2 - Wooden Blind 4)Bedroom 3 - Blackout Blind with design pattern 5)MBR - Day Curtain + Wooden Blind 6)Living Room - Day Curtain (Balinese Style) 7)Balcony - Outdoor Bamboo Chick MGL - Quote $3300 Azo-- - Quote $4100 JT - Quote $3600 Did not visit the rest of the shops, imagine spending min 2 hours on each shop, likely kenna dehydration if shop more In the end, signed with MGL due to few reasons after spending 2.5 hrs in there; 1) Price 2) Patience 3) Show us many design as we requested for Balinese Style Concept 4) 2 weeks delivery and installation 5) Explain on Pro & Con -

Today, went to select toiletries, curtains and lights at giffard mansion at along Balestier road recommended by my ID. Quite disappointed with the display variety on the toiletries and price wise not sure it is exp as I have not visited other shops to compare. My ID openly told them in front of us that he is not taking any comm so that I can get further discount on top of normal discount. Hmmmm... Understand all the shops at giffard mansion is under the same management. Did not take any photo to post it out as I am not convince to buy anythings from there yet. Good thing is you can park at their basement private car park while visiting their shops (the public car park lots are limited over there and can get summons if any how park), also they serve us hot coffee and water....................nice.. and lastly they are very patience and not pushy even you have not decide anything or confirm the purchase. I manage to get quotes from them for reference...swee... -

I understand your situation, it never too late to change unless you have signed the contact that will penalty you if terminate it. My initial quote from this confimed ID was 96k after much bargain and some changes on the design, final quote was 85k and still manage to get most of the request i require. Hunting for right ID and pricing is a tough assessment, it need a lot of searching and knowleadge of the reno stuffs. I will post out the 3D soon if my ID amended it. Happy Reno, bubby......... -

Typical reno for EM range from $70k to $100k depend on what concept and reno work. For my reno, it approx 85k. Got few ID quote approx 100k. Highest quote was 120k from a ID with lesser reno than other IDs, I almost faint............ design my stair railing only is 10k, I almost in coma....... In the end, I go for this ID which the price is much more competitive in term of unit price. Example, rewire whole house c/w 1 new circuit breaker/fix up 60 x lights pt/24 x power pt/4 x telephones/4 x tv points/3 x water heaters/3 x ceiling fans/1 hood-hob/1 door bell/1 air con pt, total 5k after discount. Exp? Example, demolition work for whole house, haulage, clear/disposal of debris 5.5k. Exp? -

Yes, it a big revamp. For balcony, I also like the high ceiling that why going for the retactable awning and outdoor bamboo chick to block the sun or rain. Do you have any recommend shop? I have checked a shop at Jalan Besar which have both outdoor and indoor bamboo/wood chick/blind. The price range from $8-10 per sqft for indoor and $3.50 per sqft for outdoor. Good price? -

Today, together with my wife and ID, we went to select the tiles for the living, dining, kitchen, maid room, all bathrooms. Located at Balestier road when there are 4 shops selling tiles on the same row of shop house. I believe some of you know where the place is. I visited both corner end of the tiles shops where they have holistic of tiles to choose (mostly from Italy, Spain etc..). NICE!!! Below are the photos of the visited shops. What surprise me was that after choosing the tiles, my ID gives us the sample of the tiles to take back. My ID also have the samples of the tiles, he will bring back to his office, take photo of the tiles and embedded into the 3D drawing and show it to us the exact looking before purchase the tiles from the shop. My wife was so happy with the ideas as we can't really decide the tiles we want and no visibility how it look when apply to my house although my ID has recommended for us. The only things we can do at the shop it’s to touch, feel the tiles and the see pricing. Next shopping with my ID will be doors, gates, windows and grilles. Standby for my next update with more photos of my house....
