    I really do think windows play important role in the overall feel of the house. Initially we didn't plan to change window too. Our windows were those bronze aluminium windows which make the house looks moody and shabby. I cannot stand it whenever i enter the house and feel moody too.

    So in the end we changed to all white powder coated windows and now we are happy. The house looks brighter. (We always visit the house during late evening when the sun has set and there were lots of shadow and darkness in the house.) Now it feels a lot better!

    Thank u valerie, 2 or 3 days ago before the tiles were layed in the kitchen we have finally informed our con to change all the windows. I guess to change now is better to change in future. :drunk:

    If you have house warming, remember to invite me, i will get you my secret weapon, you will be very happy using it.

    Not sure got housewarming or not...we are guessing after reno we will slowly purchase furniture piece by piece cos we dnt wana rush into buying for the sake of having furniture. Probably will take quite awhile for the home to form in home. :yamseng: But if we do have housewarming we definitely invite u back to your old place...haha Hope that u will be delighted to see how its been transform :) Is this secret weapon the same thing that u told me over the sms sometime ago when i was asking u the water pressure thingy?

    I did mention to my con before that I want him to do a v good water proofing job or maybe its normal procedure...more water proofing done again. Anyway i feels good that this is taken seriously..

    Part of grouting done, con did ask me to use white grouting becos in future if use color grout, certain grout will drop when wash and u will never be able to achieve the same color to patch back again. So i agree..

    Lucky you. Mind letting me know how much is your total reno cost?

    Hey i will let u know for sure. But right now better not, cos don't know how it will turn out..skali not nice also. So better wait till finish i share with u. Anyway, we keep adding alot of things which most items my con absorbed oredi. Only those huge items must pay, buay tahan..initially we don't wana change but windows and door are getting eyesore along the reno and they can be quite pricey. Sian too.

    This con is not the 2 you previously brought over to visit the place right?

    Haha...it is one of the con...the younger one. We talked to few ID firm and con and seen their work and quote...those that meet our budget are trying to please us but i suspect got hidden cost when look at the details inside the quote, will noticed some thing missing without informing us. Also some just trying to meet our desire to have certain things but they are not practical in actual usage. Some workmanship really cannot make it. This con i used he will tell and explain to me every details before he actually did it. I only goes to my place after work each day, never even seen his workers at all cos my heart really at ease.

    8th May 2012 continues....

    My con mention to me he will give me the 45degree joint at the edge of the tiles for joining, I totally forgot about it till i saw this...he is really detail person maybe due to his ID background.

    On the opposite side of the deep big hole is a bar cabinet on top, it was done by the partition subcon. There are 2 double gang power sockets, 1 SCV point and 1 Network point in the big hole, there is a cable management conduit build into the wall behind the 55" TV. Neat hor? Not a fancy feature wall at all.

    ceramic? Are they matte in finishing? Thanks!

    Hi i forgot to answer to u after checking. My bathroom wall tiles are slightly lighter than beige colour and confirmed matt in finishing. 100% homogenous.

    Albt...your window is white powder coated or ur ID paint it for u? I didn't know the old type of metal window panel got white powder actually...interesting.

    Finally you show your house, albert. Looks great. You really have a lot of clothes, can't fight with you. I throw many clothes before I move house. More of an excuse to buy new clothes. So that is called "drop", I wanted to do that for my toilets, but I don't know how to call this. My service apartment in KL has this "drop", it prevents water from overflowing to the dry area. I don't like curb, possibility will trip over if accidentally kick it. My stupid contractor don't understand what I want, keep saying the current layout can allow the water to flow down, which means the floor is not level, so water can flow to the water trapper, but it didn't help much. Now the water will flow to the dry area when bathing.

    With drop is better, initially my con quote me the kerb only cost $80 each but i felt too dangerous cos if trip might hit the side which most of my side are glass. Talk about the water flow, when i bought the tiles my con wants me to get the smaller 300x300 tiles but i keep pestering him on the larger 300 x 800 tiles...he keep on explaining to us about the water flow problem cos larger tiles makes it difficult to create a angle on the slope for the water to flow and we finally gave up the thought. He was nice, one day before he actually order the tiles he actually ask the master tiler to come to my house take a look at the bathroom to see if using larger tiles got problem and finally everything pass. So we end up top up some small amount to engage the master tiler himself to do the tiling personally as only he can do it with skills and we are getting larger tiles without worrying on the water flow problem. Water trap on tiles will create patchy mark.

    We nearly wana install Citygas heater, then we finally change our mind to buy e storage heater just to be safe. Which level u stay and hows the water pressure? lol I keep asking u the same question cos I always dislike the bulkiness of storage heater. Gee..

    Omg Albt, ur house v beautiful. No joke huh, I did saw a pile of 80kg clothes sitting on the floor. Your kitchen were pretty awesome job created. Were they full Blum system? U mind tell me again how much u spent on your Reno? U did told me once before but I forgot.

    Thanks! Do u think u could let me know which tile shop to find this? I'm being told that there are no pure white homogenous tiles, which I find unbelievable. Thank you!

    Hi i got it from Huffary at balestier, if u are looking for pure white it has to be gloss...if choosing matt white..the white will not be pure white due to the burning process of the tiles can't be achieve. But i think both comes in Homo and ceramic tiles too.

    Hi, my bathroom wall tiles i guess are consider matt since they are definitely not gloss. They are not white but more beige color and are homogenous tiles :)

    But just to be sure, tonite i go double check for u...the tiles are still new to me too. ha
