I was told that by inviting God of Wealth during CNY eve (12 midnight), you can invite "wealth" to your house. You need the normal prayer stuff plus fire cracker sound. Ceremony is at least 1 hour. There is a certain direction to invite as well. As for lion and dragon dance, I grew up such a culture as my father was in a troupe. I was too. I dont see a significant difference in inviting the dance troupe in to perform actually.

Bought a L shaped half leather cream sofa, white rectangular coffee table, white tv console, brown/wood dining table with 2 benches and 1 King size King Koil bed. Saw on Today's there electronics fair at Suntec Level 4 today. Price looks good.

I like the 50s to 70s furniture like what Lorgan's have but my pocket is not deep enough. Hence, I tried Thailand. I've asked for 2-3 quotations (mainly from BKK) but alas!! the prices are slightly cheaper if not similar to the ones in Singapore. They quoted me: Sofa - from SGD 1k onwards Coffee table - SGD 350 onwards Dining Chair - SGD 180 onwards TV console - SGD 750 onwards and the prices above do not including shipping, tax and other costs. I really like the pieces. Is there anyway I can get them cheaper in Singapore or to Singapore? I have checked Indonesia as well but prices are similar. Thank you

Lowest quotation from Kim Hwee is 420 + 280 pvc + 165 cushion = $865 inclusive of delivery. I need to find some place to hold the seatee as well cos I havent got my place yet.
