  1. So here comes the taobao stuff, shipping alone 380 bucks. Pattex wall protector, said to enhance wallpaper adhesive, didn't saw in SG so got to import, packing looks good The wallpapers, I wonder if I really have time to put them up. Haven't open the packing but it looks ok from outside Then, the LED spotlights. White colour so it looks pretty, seems broken when received, so I applied adhesive glue to fix back the bulb etc. Quality? solid, hopefully it works The LED ceiling lights, looks ugly than expected, I got 2 units, 1 for service yard the other for the study room
  2. many things happened during the renovation and my house is almost ready, the lighting will be installed this saturday and painting by next weekend. Back with more photos
  3. To add, for trimming leg, I found my own man, that fellow can trim on saturday so no corordination problem.
  4. Now I have 3 options, 1. trim the leg which cost me about $180 2. change to a simple gate for about $500 to $600 for 4ftx7ft 3. change to something better and nicer for about $1k
  5. Can anyone expert here comment on the electrical quotation? In fact I found it about 20% more expensive than the cheapest I saw, but like I said, this uncle whatever also cannot then how then can i get my own man?
  6. I mean the galvanized iron gate, if fake one can go rusty easily
  7. I have a couple of names in my mind, I saw Alex also, but is there anyone that uses his product can give a review? I don't want to buy fake wrought iron gate at cheap price, and I do not want to buy something expensive which you do not know if it is real wrought iron gate. Unless there are many good review on a particular company, then I will probably try. Sad... renotalk has so little threads concerning iron gate, why???
  8. Haiz, this reno uncle this one cannot that one cannot, so pissed off with him already. This morning my wife ask him to lower the shower kerb at common bathroom, in fact the workers have not done it, and the uncle said cannot, not nice some sort of f***ing reason. Then I called back and I tell him to stick to our request then he guai guai take order. Also we are doing a frame at the TV console wall, and I asked the uncle to put it up after the laminate floor, then uncle said cannot cannot cannot cannot..... :curse: :curse: You tell me how to ask him for quotation again??? Next time when he ask for $$$ I will say cannot cannot cannot.... Luckily my very very very nice gentlement from Supreme can accomodate to whatever crazy request I made, so things settled. This guy from Supreme, highly highly + highly recommended
  9. can meh? you probably the only one in the whole block? We don't intend to change in the first place, but the very very very nice gentlement from Supreme advise to lay laminates till the entrance, so we have no choice either to trim, to change or maybe like what you did to remove the front gate. Just to further explain, our initial concern is that the laminates at entrance may wrap overtime, but the gentlement reassure us with his confidence on the product, and moreover it is indeed weird if laminates start few steps away..
  10. Haha, we are going for contrast, my bedroom floor is in black, skirting in light grey, will show picture then.
  11. Wah piang!! None of you guys instal iron gate meh?? I read about bad comment on CNS, about Panggiap... so think better to get from the pasar malam LOL.
  12. Anyone can recommend a chepo good and nice wrought iron gate installer?
  13. I warn you first, my kitchen is very super duper tiny, the so-called open concept is just to place the chimney hood outside and not really hack the walls of the kitchen hor. Moreover we purposely instal a slidding door at kitchen to prevent the oilly smells spread to the living.
  14. wo, my one sending on Tuesday, why don't you adjust the height of the hood, you got glass/aluminium backing izit?
  15. I think by Monday or Tuesday, both toilets will be ready lol!
  16. Chimney ah, HH6310 if not mistaken, we are going for open concept
  17. By the way just to share, new replacement for 5500 comes already, Court's price is about 1300 plus, quite expensive
  18. Ok, let's clarify. I checked and was told 3 years warranty. hwaa, at least when you buy a display set and put it in your home, no one knows it is a display set, just the reverse side. Price wise the lowest I guess is $899 at IT show, $850 at HN, and the same price $850 from Mega plus free delivery. $200 is small amount, 23% is big discount le. Anyway, have made up my mind, wait for the coming show in June.
  19. True as what I feel, it's like buying a 3-4 years old used TV. But one thing to remember, if the TV spoilt within 3 years, you got a free replacement ma. Again, who knows when you buy a new TV, they deliver a display set?
  20. Ya, I have mine also, but I didn't realise it until I looked back to the photo again.
  21. Saw from courts, Samsung D40 5500 series is going for $649, but display set for about 10 months already, worth buying?
  22. he charges me 450 for plasterring whole kitchen
  23. Well I wanted to get myself a powertool for the purpose to drill couple of holes in my new house, either on ceiling, on concrete wall or on beam. I guess I need a hammer drill and I saw from diy shop that Skil 550w hammer drill is going for $69, which is half cheaper than those more realiable brand like bosch or b&d. For the sake of drilling only few holes, i am not planning to invest big in the tool, end up i will probably put it aside for years after these few holes, and i dont want to buy something cheap which is useless. Please dont ask me to borrow as i think it is necessary to have a tool like this at home. So, the question is, can Skil drill makes it based on my requirement? And bare in mind that i am not heavy user. Thanks.
