i believe also depends on the purpose of the forums. like HWZ, is mainly for gadgets stuffs.. age grp from teens to adults. very wide range. usually teens are very eng one.. so keep posting bo liao stuffs.. like here, RT, most of us have a mind of settling down.. thinking more mature (unlike some ppl ).. hence posting stuffs will be much more different. you wont see a teen buying hdb flat or reno whole house..

haha.. i not sure abt the software of HWZ, i think they are rich enough to employ their own designer to redesigns the layout. RT ones are default template.

yes kat. software will determine the layout.. like RT forum, the software comes with readily designed buttons and functions

ya man.. if rules get too strict, ppl will complain.. afterall forums is a free flow of ideas exchange place. only place to have freedom of speech. heh~

ya man.. not easy to maintain a forum, is more difficult to maintain a big forum. alot of backend server tuning and maintence. members of HWZ got a choice to pay to access to HWZ's highend server, so that able to access the forum faster, less laggings. of coz those nv pay ones can still access lah.. slower lor.. and also i think those paid members also got some discounts when buying hardwares at some shops. HWZ is earning alot.. even have its own magazine...

Those ID advertised here needs to pay. Other than that will be admin's own pocket liao.. Forum policy is not suppose to delete away any posts unless is those rude ones. i think is to maintain transparency. So if RT one fine day becomes like HWZ, then starts to get fee for every member. I think now RT seems to have the plan of releasing membership cards. so maybe to get some funds from the memberships also. Of coz they also need to attact ppl why they should own the memberships, maybe by discounts on some shops and etc.
