  1. Just did my reno last year.. my contractor pricing is fairly cheap...she is easy to work with. not calculative, jovial and supervise her workers 's work. If you want, I can send you her contract
  2. Hi, you should source for a few more contractors's quotation to compare.I did my reno last year and I source for about 5 quotations... in the end, I opt for a mid range quote.
  3. I just did my reno last year - Aug 2011. My contractor was honest to tell me that the difference between solid top and granite is only about S$200 for my 14 ft work top? I was quoted S$75/- per ft for my solid top vs S$90/- per ft for granite top.. In the end I choose solid top cos cant stand the joint line on granite top.
  4. She did my 4 rooms resale reno last year...found her price reasonable... .. I was most impressed with her tiling works... overall quite satisfactory with the other works - light box, carpentry, electrical & painting.. the malaysia guy quite good in his painting what... i especially like to watch the way he execute the stroke....very stylo..Thru out the reno, I leave it to her to supervise her worker.. I also get her to do additional works which I top up and the amt she charge was reasonable (did not take the opprtunity to squeeze my bank dry)... most friends commented that my reno is very well done and quite a number ask for her contact for future ref.... I have a personal friend who is a bz devt manager of a US Interior designing firm ( for hotels)... she even commented that the reno was tastefully done...
  5. Hi, your blog caught my attention this morning cos I engaged the same contractor....but my experience was somewhat a pleasant and memorable one... This young lady that you mentioned should be the same one who oversee the reno of my 4A resale. I had a good impression of her right from the start (she does not push me into doing expensive works and give me very practical solution). I agree with her that her pricing is good... Thru out the reno process, she was very reponsible(she spoted tiles demaged by her carpenter an plumber and got it replace without me telling her)... I am a active person with many extra activities besides work, so hardly had time to go down to my reno site... but each time I drop in, was pleasantly surprise with the progress... when I spotted anything not right, just call her...and she will take action to rectify .... I can be very nagging and give her no peace but she took it in good humor and even make a joke out of it... My dad even ticked me off that the poor lady is having a hard time with me at the rate that i keep making changes.... somehow my reno job for her seems endless.... At the end of the project, nearing handover, told her to give a breakdown of the amt i need to top up for the additional works.. I was touched that she did not take the opportunity to squeeze my bank dry)... realised the truth in this proverb - "Do to others what you want them do to you"... kindness beget kindness...
