  1. 600 is quite good? Which bank? Not all banks have this kinda promotions I just checked.
  2. Typically 100 to 300 if not agent referred. But promotion not everyday. Of course staff cannot just give you if the mechanics is must be a referral. His or her job on the line.
  3. On the whole last time and now about the same. 1) legal subsidy last time have and now also have. 2) up to 2500. Generally 0.5% of loan amount capped at 2500
  4. Albert: No prob. Nowadays HDB commission I don't know how much but last time 0.40%, very high. Haha but HDB worth alot less also last time. Cheers!

  6. Hi folks, If anyone knows, do advise. I'm contemplating getting a property. Now assuming that for stamp duty I might not have enough from the CPF, hence I'm paying part cash. Is there a period that after which I cannot claim from CPF for stamp duty? E.g stamp duty $20,000, use $10,000 CPF and remainder cash. Assuming that in 10months time I will have another $10,000 cash in my CPF OA, can i instruct my lawyer to claim from CPF to reimburse the cash $10k?
  7. To get commission, you need not be with a mortgage broker. In fact I would suggest to stay clear. Many agents refer to mortgage brokers because 1) alot of brokers pay commission up front. 2) they pay 100% of available commission plus abit more.(they earn undertable by getting lawyers to charge higher on legal fees and kickbacks are shared between agent and broker in instances. Agents go to brokers because not all refi cases will have commission but the brokers will know. And agents of some agency have their commission cut by their own agency e.g 10% cut hence they go to brokers etc.
  8. Lost princess, I think firstly you need to talk to the developer as land sold will be under the developer. Hence I guess it might be unlikely even if MP can help.. Ask the agent to assist. Last time, I wanted to buy a DBSS and the agent mentioned also the seller had to give up for some reason but last min the seller had asked his parents to help payment.. The agent mentioned they had worked out an an arrangement with the developer. No harm with asking CPF board / MP to appeal later.
