    Mid century modern sofa

    From the album: Paloma

  3. Hey all, thanks for supporting this t-blog after so long! How time flies! It's been more than two years since we moved into our home. Now that our family is expanding (yay!), we have outgrown some of our furniture and have to part ways with them (sobs). If you are looking for a mid-century modern sofa for your home, here's one to consider: We are letting go of our beloved sofa for $850. It's in a very good condition and was originally $1,580 from Room of Woods. The frame is made of teak wood and the cushion covers are in merino grey with white piping. The length is 145cm and the height is 86cm. If you are interested to take over it, please PM me! Thanks!
  4. Hi everyone, Thanks for continuing to follow our t-blog and also for all your kind comments! I'm very sorry but I'm not able to respond to all the requests for K's contact as I do not log in to the forum often these days. I noticed there are some new K customers who have started t-blogs and are active on the forum, so those interested may want to get the contact from them Again, for those who have asked me to share my quotation, I'm sorry but I don't do that. In any case, it won't be very relevant now (it's been a year since my renovation was done!). We have been enjoying our new lives in our home and it's been quite interesting to see how our home has evolved - almost the same but not quite! I'm still thinking whether to share photos. Hi Yagiza, 1. The kitchen lights are from Ikea. 2. No, we don't have a photography studio in our home. Hi Sago, I wouldn't say it's difficult but you do need to be careful with it. I think I shared before that I dropped a glass bottle on my counter and one of the tiles chipped. But my contractor was very generous and kind to replace it for free! Tiles are very easy to clean, but if you are a carefree cook and don't want to worry about cracks and all, you might be better off with a more durable countertop.
  5. Thanks! The aircon is alright I guess? I've not used other brands before so can't really give you a comparison.
  6. Six months on... Have a great holiday, everyone!
  7. Hi Juxtapose, the ideas were my husband's. If you engage a contractor, they may give you some suggestions but you will have to come up with the concept yourself and do the decision-making. I think it just takes research and after awhile you'll figure out the things that you like
  8. It's between 10cm and 11cm. 10.8cm?
  9. If I'm not wrong, mine is 40cm. Yes it's bright enough. There is light from the hood and above our sink too. Plus my kitchen is open so light comes in from the living room too.
  10. Sorry but I don't know how many cartons of bricks we used. They are all white craftstones but each piece will have some tones on it, that's how we achieve the effect.
  11. I didn't really notice but I think for white grouting cracks do appear more easily but the grey ones less so.
  12. Hi there are three sets of blinds in my MRB because we have a set of small windows by the side. Yes, we used blinds for all our other rooms and our living room windows are covered with a sheer curtain.
  13. Hi Alvin, only one side of the tile is rounded. The other sides are not, but it looks fine to us.

  14. Hi, actually there's no need to spend too much on renovation. My reno cost was actually quite low, compared to what I read on renotalk. Spend more on the furnishings and decor. They'll make more impact. Yes, the colour is natural. You can request for the tiler to break the pieces up if you want it to look even more raw. Sorry I don't have a code or brand.
  15. I'm sorry but I don't have the code. Maybe you can show it to your contractor/ID and ask for a similar one.
  16. Hi yes, my sink is under mounted and the edge of the tiles are exposed.
  17. Hi sorry, I don't share specific costings. But yes, you can install drawers and doors.
  18. Hey we chose the 50mm ones. Hmm, it does take some effort to lift it up. Usually we leave it down and just flip the blinds up for light to come in.
  19. Hey the inside is just normal white laminate, I don't have any code to share. The frame is made of exposed plywood.
  20. Hey I don't have this problem. Could it be that it's not fixed well?
  21. Actually the info is all in my previous posts. The blinds are from Golden Leaf, you can call them and check the price. I did the blinds for three rooms and curtains for our living room and it came up to $1850. The ceiling fan is a petite fan from relite. You can check it out on their website. I paid $125 I think.
  22. Sorry I don't share specific cost but yes, everything is still in good shape (hard for cement structure to go wrong) but do keep in mind that tiles may chip if you are not careful. Like me!
