My cousin just moved into a resale 4 room HDB in woodlands and he is using laminated flooring over the existing ceramic tiles. It looks nice and elegant with the woody look. Beside cost-saving factor, He has a toddler who always around- given that there is no grouting compared to other stones tiles and hence evenness across the whole house, this becomes a safer option for his kid. However,on a personal note, whenever i walk, i could hear the hollow sound coming from underneath it. If you were to run/walk with a heavier step, you could feel the "trembling" sound hovering, especially when your house windows are closed (air con room). I would still prefer natural stone tiles
