Forgot to say; please throw the sea salt in every corners and every room generously, empty the whole package if you have to, DO NOT bring the balance salt home for cooking. No Chinese workers from your contractors/subcons will be bother to pick up the coins on the floor, it is usually the Indian foreign workers that pick them up, let them be, do not scold them, is a sign of good fortune if there are any coins bury under the tiles.

Try the herbal turtle soup at lavender food centre (behind eminent plaza). Wanton mee not bad but portion a bit small, long queue too. Quite a number of nice foods there.

The rim of my sink is not hollow, my plumber glued the entire sink using gel-type silicon onto the Quartz counter top, leaving no gap between them. Even if the anti-fungus compound worn off after a few years, i can redo the silicon myself. I like top mount, so long the silicon is done properly, dont see there is any problem. Cant say the same for undermount, if your contractor lousy, you will have a lot of problem down the road, water sip through causing the cabinet wood to rot away slowly bit by bit and there is no way to remove or change the sink or fix the rotting cabinet, you will cry if you need to hack away to rebuild.

yes, going to feast at the herbal mutton soup later, going to order the $12 (rib with tendon) bowl.

hacking - 3 days cement & plastering - 2 days waterproofing - 2 days laying of floor and wall tiles - 3 days fitting & fixtures - 2 days 3+2+2+3+2 = 12 days = 6 days per week = 2 weeks.

1. Bak kut must buy Indonesia pork, the rib must buy those long long rib type. If chop to 8cm size, 1 kg maybe can chop into 12 pieces. 2. Garlic must buy small-medium in size. 3. Red chilli is not chilli padi, is those big long type. I usually buy all my ingredients at wet market at old kallang airport.

Outside... that is why i said ugly.
-
She just need to buy the 1 kg of bah kut, 25 cloves of garlic and a few red chilli; i will bring 2 litres of top grade alkaline water, the BKT spices and a small bottle of dark and light soy sauce mixture. She need to steam some white rice too.

You want to eat, anytime i can drop by your place to cook for you if you get all ingredients at 1 go, i swing by your place, just need 1 hours and you should be chewing the bones at the end of the hour.

Before the fan can blow out the water, it uplorry first and most likely will trip the ELCB too, in serious case will trip the main DB causing blackout throughout the whole house.
-
Not gang up on you lah... just that both of us got the same thinking.
-
Got solution but ugly one. Most people tape a cover over the top of the fan.

hi 5!

Hi thedottyness, If that happened, please call your housing agent to contact their housing agent to ask the previous owner to remove all removable furniture from your new house. Can't say about the wall-mounted furniture but removable furniture must go.
-
actually when i saw your KDK exhaust fan on your toilet window, i already know that rain water will sip in when rain... just that most home owners will still insist to install so i better keep quiet.

The return mail box is not present for 35 years old flat. Only saw them in flat not more than 15 years old.

Really must find out what is causing the wetness at that area. You can try complain to your contractor for the sloppy job on the bathtub piping and bathroom floor (is a valid reason to complaint).

I can guaranty you that you wont be happy with your 100% acrylic top after a few years. Quartz is the only way to go but it is expensive, i paid my 16 ft X 20mm thickness for $4000. Polyester is the lousiest and cheapest; some call it half acrylic, in fact is 70% polyester & 30% acrylic. Acrylic is slightly higher grade than 70%/30%; brand like LG Hi-mac is quite popular. Granite is natural stone, pores so is easily stained by water or oil, can waterproof and oil-proof but expensive process. Quartz is the best, non-pores, very low maintenance, heat resistance, stain resistance, scratch resistance.

See my top cabinet allowance.
-
Same here, my all white glossy cabinets also low maintenance. Usually it is the dark color cabinet that are obvious when dirty/dusty.

That doesn't look good. You must find out from your tiler or contractor on why that part never dry out up. It could be pipe leaking inside the wall or in-between the floor?
