I bought all my downlights (LED), T5 and ceiling fans from A lightings @ geylang. The boss Alex v nice though the first batch they delivered had some wrong parts n he jus prepare the right ones within 2 days without questions asked. I feel his prices reasonable. Hanging lights I bought from lightings.com.sg

its a very nice neighbourhood, but pretty noisy too i used to live at those 3 storey high HDB flats! and they are still around as they are conserved by the govt (unique brick structure). gd and bad with mountbatten Sq. conveniences for parents like me, and also, previously when it was a big grass patch, the area was really manifested with mosquitoes! thanks for the compliments on my place. i'm waiting to see ur end product (of cos visit if u welcome me.. hehehe)

taichipanda, u're really lucky to get the left over unit. those days where they werent balloting system from HDB, ppl get "insider news" and Q overnight at HDB. that's what my SIL did and yet she still couldnt get a unit there. i remember reading that HDB will not intro anymore DBSS.

Couple Playing Around With Low Reno Budget

i removed mine too! i've seen my neighbour adding cabinets to this vanity top. it looked even more weird.. cos the material of the cabinets just dont match the vanity top and also, the colours. -
hi, anyone has a good mirror supplier/vendor to recommend? i'm intending to make one full wall of mirror so that the hall can look bigger and brighter. my ID has quoted me, but above my budget leh

hi there, that's a philip light i got it from lightings.com.sg at balestier. i fell in love with it at first sight and had to get electrician to come again to do conceal electrical lines for this.

here's my open concept kitchen.. the glass backsplash not yet installed. the black indent false ceiling with LED lights are my favoourite lights in the house! the picture doesnt do justice to it covelight in living hall (again, noticed my invisible grilles?)

busy busy! busy following up on the reno and with work.. not easy, esp i need to be home for my baby before 8pm as she'll start looking for me! very good progress these 2 weeks i would say! almost everything is done, waiting for final touchup, chemical wash, wallpaper & mirror to be up and it'll be the big handover day! picture speaks older than words.. but very sorry for the lousy resolution. all taken with iphone as i keep forgetting to bring DSLR with me! my daughter's fairy-theme bedroom.. i love it to bits. (mummy share sleep here with her ) her matching wardrobe overview of her room from entrance (did you even notice the invisible grilles across the windows? ) her fairy night light

Hi denimart, did u study ard old airport rd when u were young? Haha.. Actu my parents' place is at old airport rd, and same as u, we used to live in rental flats at Dakota crescent for decades till in the late 90s we had the priority to choose pine close new flats n thus shifted across the street. This is an awesome neighborhood. Great food ( u'll never starve with the big hawker centre, numerous coffee shops, grocery shops, 24hrs mac, 24hrs NTUC all within a stone throw), accessibility (it takes me 3min to reach circle line station) and great schools ard. Only now that I m researching on nursery for my baby, that I realized Mountbatten Square has many of the real gd nurserys & child care! But sad to say I'll b shifting to another mature estate as my bto is already undergoing last stage of Reno! I'll miss this area for sure!
