  1. During Courts annual sale 2 months ago. They are now selling it at about $1K.
  2. For Hettich tracks and stuffs, just google for Hettich Singapore and you can find the number to reach the Spore office. They will assign a salesperson to you once you tell them that you want to get something from them. For the Jomoo mixers, just go to Taobao and search for "Jomoo 水龙头“ and you can find many choices.
  3. Plumber here to run the rest of the piping and to install mixers plus instant heater. Caesarstone here to take measurement. Installation on saturday. Windows and grilles all installed by Andy's Home Aluminum team. Thanks for the job well done. You can get his contacts from the forum. His price is really hard to beat. Even Nicholas confirmed that Andy's price is his costs! Aircon installation also completed. Job well done by All Best. Take note that the Panasonic compressor is really noisier than Mitsubishi Heavy Industries or Mitsubishi Electric for those considering getting new aircon. Tiling will resume tomorrow and painting will start tomorrow morning as well. Very very fruitful day today!
  4. Carpenter, windows installer and Aircon installer all here. Everything have to be done concurrently or else no time liao! Haha...
  5. Hettich tracks less than $30/pc. My entire household all using Hettich tracks for drawers including vanity top and tv console. Blum magic corner total less than $400. I think it is worth the investment as the drawers are so easy to open and close now.
  6. Yup... HDB admitted that the door might warp or shrink after yrs of usage since it is made of wood. They are definitely right to reject any liability in this case. It is my fault that I did not check the main door as I was to eager to get the unit. It was only after signing the papers then I realised that there are so many defects in the house that need to be rectified. Sigh...
  7. Myap76, Advice for you. If you have the time and the money to get an ID, pls do so. I have come to realise that 3D perspective drawings are very good for you to finalise your designs before actual works start. Let the ID be the coordinator of your reno and get him to report to you regularly on the progress. It will save you a lot of time and hassle and you will find that the extra $$$ you paid for the ID is worth it. Makanology, I designed the layout of the kitchen cabinets on my own based on the needs of my family. I chose to do full extension drawers for all the bottom cabinets so that each and every single item can be see and taken out for use easily. The Blum magic corner seems to be the most effective way of utitlising the corner cabinet area as compared to those stainless steel rotating carousel or pull out trays. I bought the BLUM and Hettich stuff and my own and got them to deliver to my carpenter's workshop. My carpenter is not charging me any service charge to install Blum or Hettich.
  8. HDB's answer. 1. If you buy your house direct from HDB, HDB will rectify or replace the door at no charge. 2. If you buy your house from the resale market, you as the buyer will have to ensure that the seller rectify or replace the defect for you before you sign on the OTP and the resale agreement. Their is no wrong in their answer coz we really did not check on the main door when we sign the papers. Sianz...

  11. Updates. Kitchen cabinets 70% installed. 40cm height bottom drawers for the super big pots and utensils. Blum Magic Corner with 40cm height bottom drawer.
  12. You are very "tok kong"! Almost everything from amazon and taobao... Hahaha
  13. $35/shipment regardless of qty of items, weight or sizes? How long does it take to reach Singapore after placing order?
  14. I am painting part of my wall with magnetic paint and chalkboard paint so that it works as both a magnetic and chalkboard. Perhaps you can consider this option unless you need the glass feature.
  15. Took over the unit last week then realised that the original fire-rated main door from HDB has shrunk in size. Door cannot close properly and the lock also partially spoilt. Any recommendations to get cheap fire-rated doors besides the usual players like Yontat? I dun need fanciful designs. Simple plain doors are good enough for me. Thanks in advance for the recommendations....
  16. Light box is up! Service balcony floor tiles done Toilet tilings 85% done except the area around the windows coz changing windows for whole house.
  17. Now is the time to mount the light boxes.
  18. Cant remember. Shd be about $1.4K if I am not wrong. They are having moving out sales now. Price could be cheaper.
  19. Yes. All thanks to God for leading me to these 2 contractors. Nothing but praises to them for their hard work, patience and understanding to my constant changes of plans. Carpenter just updated. Kitchen cabinet will be completed by thursday latest but I can only install them on 29 Jan for Caesarstone measurement as I need to complete the painting job first. Sigh...
  20. Big THUMBS UP again to Nicholas! There are total 5 workers at my house tiling the toilets, kitchen, walls etc! Progress is extremely fast now. All the workers are very hardworking and very detailed in their jobs. Nothing to complain about. Handover on 28 Jan will be the latest but we foresee everything will be completed by this Saturday. Levelling of floor after hacking away the wall. Toilet wall tiles 60-70% done. Old toilet door sealed up with hollow blocks. Lightbox partitions are here.
  21. Philips LED downlight at $58 or lesser each can easily last 2-3yrs without any problems.
  22. I thot the lights are supposed to "leak" from the side of this model of downlight? It is supposed to look as such to create a different visual effect.
  23. Updates... Carpenter just informed me that the below items have been fabricated: 1. 10ft TV console. 2. 7ft Shoe rack + storage cabinet. 3. 11.5ft wardrobe. 4. 2pcs 2ft vanity top. 5. Kitchen in the progress. Take note that he only took measurements on 14 Jan and so many stuffs have been completed within 1 week. He really understand my desperate NEED to move in by 4 Feb and he has allocated his most experienced carpenter to do up my carpentry only and he also maintained the same price for me. His electrician has also been one of the most wonderful person I have ever met. Praises to God for leading me to him or else I will be in a fix with no place to stay for the new yr. Praises to my carpenter and his team as well. Everything is moving so fast and so smoothly up to date. To the IDs who refused to take up my job, I will show you that it is possible to have a complete reno for a 5 room flat within 3 weeks when you are able to source for good contractors! All thanks to Nicholas from Renoguyz and my carpenter whom I will reveal the identity after all carpentry are done up!!! Cheers...
