Good job! Now I am VERY JEALOUS of your green accordion lamps!

That's fast, and looks nice. Can't wait to see the end result!
Me too!

Love the yellow laminate! May I know which brand is this? Is it those thick glossy type?

Wet works finally started today! I thought nothing much to see when I pop by after work, but guess what, some of the 3D subway tiles are up already!
The hollow block to seal up the WIW from the walkway is up too.
Here's the view from inside WIW.
Looking forward to meeting Alan tomorrow morning to discuss about tiling. Haven't seen him in quite a while!

Came across it at Lorgan's
Their stuff are overpriced IMHO

Can check where you're planning to get the string shelf from? Only place I've seen this (replica) has a price tag of S$250...:S
May I know where did u see the replica? That's quite ex for a replica! I plan to buy mine from here - http://www.scandinaviandesigncenter.com/
Hope that helps.

Welcome to the club! You should be in good hands! Alan exudes this zen aura, that's why your wife feels safe and calm!

We were considering the IKEA one too, but it was just too big and would make our kitchen look cluttered. I vote for the String shelf!
-
Have been thinking if I should get this String pocket shelf. I like its simplistic yet chic look, it's a tad pricey though, one set of 2 panels and 3 shelves cost US$121.
Or this Ikea shelf that is going for $95?
One thing good about String is that you can move the shelves up and down according to your needs, but Ikea ones are fixed.
Plan to use the shelf in the dining area, right above my dining bench. Will most probably display food/cooking related decor pieces eg vintage thermos I collected!

YAY, wet works will start tomorrow! :sport-smiley-004:

Maybe we went there when we are alone there so they were ok leg. one man's meat is another man's poison. 没有缘

Can walk down to royal fanco just a street down, they dun charge GST and we bght the toilet bowl and got the basin free! He doesnt display aot of stuff but if u as, he will dig out a catalog fr somewhere
Hmm, don't mind if i interfere a bit... I didn't have good experience at RF leh. The bosses weren't keen to serve us, we were there first then another couple who bought from them came in. So the two bosses went to serve them and made us wait for quite long. We waited for a while and decided to leave, so thanked the boss and walked off. He didn't apologise or at least say some nice words.

shy leh me....
Now this makes me very curious how your entire house looks like! Post more pix after you move in can?

I did something sneaky yesterday. I bought a little table that i love at first sight. The colour is gorgeous, tiffany-blue and the size is just right for my Mac. was happy-trodding home..and when i reached my abode, i presented this to my hubby....n the look on his face was priceless.. the first words he said to me was "im going to distress it" .. i was of cos.. distress my pristine little blue table wasnt the first thing on my mind when I bought it.. goodness, i feel so unsafe leaving it at home now.
I quickly took a picture and claim my stake at the corner of my balcony. here it is. Maybe it doesnt match the theme of the house, but its my little corner isnt it.
He is going to make it look like this
his office cabinet 3/4 completed. (you can refer to the 'in-progress' picture a post before)
well, thats the other updates.. i think the next one would be the coffee table that he is making.. n that will keep his hands off my table for the time being..
The ikea table looks lovely! Maybe I can buy to put my cream retro fan on it! The door can be removed one right? As in, can I don't attach the door to it?
How did your hubby distress the cabinet? Can share share?

What a nice family of cat and dogs. It's so sweet that your kitty grooms your mini schnauzer everyday!

CONGRATS! Told u Alan is good and will advise us to save money. He nagged at me a few times for wanting to change/add this and that Who served you at poh seng huh? Why nobody give me a crash course on anything. hurhur. I'm amazed Mr E actually agreed to the floral bedsheet.
-
So cute! They actually pose together for you to take photo
Gal, did you receive my PM? It is ok if you take your time to reply... just wanna make sure it was sent across, not like the previous time
-
Think the coffee table can go with your sofa... Length & height wise, does it go well with the sofa?
We just met Alan and he was singing praises of your place "她的家做得simple又美". Congrats!
Wa wa wa!

Thanks for the tip! Does this model only come in cream colour or are there other colours as well?
16" only has cream colour. If you don't mind a smaller version at 12", the green one is nicer!! It's similar design but looks even more retro

What about those E27 type of downlight that uses energy saving bulb, how do these compare to LED downlight?
-
Is this enough to put your skin care products & make-up?
I know this may sound abit silly, but I will store them elsewhere! My WIW is a narrow rectangular shape... placing the dresser near the window and I don't want to put my skincare and cosmetics right beside the window!
-
Haha I don't have a dressing table too. My hubby asked if I need.. My response was " for what?"
Think he should be very happy
Lucky him.
I should be getting this as my dressing table! There are a few colours to choose from... like the grey-brown and red!

*pat pat* I'm sure this is a satisfying journey for you, to finally see your beautiful home come together!
If it is not too troublesome, can help me find out that yellow laminate code number, or at least the brand? Thanks in advance!
