I gave up after 2 pages of Hettich online catalogue. Too technical cheem! Shall stick to whatever Alan is giving us
I think he's using house brand ones, not sure whether good or not. I will most likely buy my own and ask his carpenter to fix. So many things to do, haven't visit Hettich showroom!

From Mustafa, then the price should be ok I guess? I've been eyeing something like since last year.
But but...when I showed the pic of the fan and some other retro-looking clock to my hubby, he said "if these are what you call retro, then they're ugly."
hmmm, got to find a way to get him to like them
It's $129... I think TANGS and Best Denki were selling it cheaper but no stock anymore since it has been discontinued.

by the way anyone been waiting for Philips' sale?
Is their sales good?

Was trying to see the price difference between the different brands of the hinges and my goodness, this seems worse than studying for a paper. The Hettich online catalogue is making my head woozy
So what is the conclusion? Which brand is cheaper?

Yah, agree with retchlow, pink and green can go well together!

Looking to buy a wall clock for mbr. If my wall is charcoal/ warm grey in colour, should I go for a black frame/white face clock or vice versa?
This is really nice... very muji

haha i think she will either or if i go around telling pple what kind of price she gave. if u r keen, get the contact from me & check with her directly? smeg fridge not only complements the look, but completes it as well. so it's a pretty good investment. n i heard the fridge is from spain?
i don't think so? coz i think there's a max no. of colors i can use for painting & it's still within the limit.
Eh, is it normal brush painting? Does this leave paint streaks on the door? Did the painter sand down the surface before painting? Maybe I should opt for this instead of varnishing my wooden doors.

This is great! Where did you get it? So you will put this on the Ikea stool (after it comes out from your storeroom)?
I bought it from Mustafa! Ikea's step stool is a tad short for my use. Still looking for an ideal side table or cabinet for it.

Bluecheeze, what my friend did was she tested all e down lights at e shop to make sure it's working so that she does not hv to make a double trip. But becos she ordered alot and e shop dun hv all e stock she still hv to make another trip down to collect it. The cost savings are substantial enuf so no complains hahaha...
Great u got e fan So u not getting e e mini fan anymore
Thanks for the info. If buying E27 downlights, that is, non LED, is cost savings substantial?
That "mini fan" (vento fino) is not that practical to me, unless i buy the improved version which can oscillate, but it is soooo pricey!

Bought this today!
Actually didn't want to buy any more stuff until our reno is near completion BUT as this is a discontinued model, I better be kiasu than sorry. Gonna put this in my storeroom while reno is going on, should be safe lah hor?

Yes, i called iona today they told me this model has been discontinued, advised me to try my luck at mustafa! So I cheong there to buy one!
Haven't go JB yet. If I go, it shd be next weekend. But now thinking maybe I should buy all downlights here. I scared if I buy in JB and somehow it is faulty, have to go back exchange. What do u think?

count me in...for my new house i ordered a 1.8m tall mirror..i think that will serve the purpose liao
Wa, what mirror you order? Wall-mount one? I intend to buy an ikea wall mirror, or perhaps a tall stand mirror. Haven't decide yet. My WIW is longish shape, so makeup area on one end, the other end will be the tall mirror and where i blow hair

For some reasons, since I was a teenager until now, a dressing table has never been part of my life. I just stand infront of the vanity area if I need to put on my makeup and the do.
I confirmed I am not at all that ladylike! Haha....
I don't have dressing table either! I'm using a wall mounted CD shelf for this purpose, with just a normal mirror placed on it.

Hoping to inject abit of industrial style to my walk-in wardrobe and study room. Will choose a cement screed like laminate for my wardrobe doors. I quite like this dressing table, but I'm afraid it can't blend into the look. What do you guys think?

Hi,
I got it from Best Denki It's noiser than those kdk fan. So I guess it's good for aesthetic reasons.
I have been looking for this fan but to no avail. Best denki told me it's out of stock and they not bringing in anymore. Which best denki outlet did you buy this from?

Finally get to see some carpentry pictures. Is your wardrobe door laminate or wood? Looks like wood! That vanity cabinet is yellow? Nice colour Are you doing any top hung cabinet in kitchen?
May I know the lengths of your wardrobe and the track lights above it?

I am also interested to know... Anyone can share?

My sofa is about 3m long... Yes I have a coffee table
Your sofa is so long! is it L-shaped? If it is L-shape, then you can put the carpet within that L, best that the carpet is around the same length or slightly shorter than it. Actually size of carpet is very subjective, I personally prefer it to be same length or slightly shorter than my sofa.

HAMPEN rug from IKEA... Will 133 x 195 cm be too big for my living room?
On a sidenote... looking for wallpaper and curtains contacts now!
Will drop by the newly open Om at Toh Guan this weekend to see what's available.
I think this is not too big. What is the size of your sofa? Do you have a coffee table?

Exactly my thought. The clothes will be very visible. It's currently a wall with a window gap (but no window). Also need to think ant what to do with that part. Shall post some pix tml!
Just met up with Alan, he mentioned there might be a beam in the wall between living and kitchen. But hdb has already approved.. Shouldn't it be okay enough to hack it? He said need to hack already then know.
Haha... like my unit's case, hacked liao then realise got this pillar standing in the way, and if I want to hack it, have to remove the false beam above it and part of my kitchen false ceiling was affected too...
-
There is actually already a wall with an opening. What I intend to do is to bring down the whole wall for a open feel.
But my concern is that the service balcony is also my place with the laundry and the uglys. So end up, it might be even more cluttered than open!
If I am you, I will not hack that wall. Don't like the idea of clothes hanging there to be very visible in the kitchen. Moreover when you cook, the fumes may affect clothes if they happen to be there?

i changed many items along the way...and got nagged by him
He doesn't dare to order my tiles cos he scared I change my mind. LOL!
