  1. IKEA! It's waterproof too, great outdoor use. Not sure if it's still available though. I've never bought from Taobao before. I'm too impatient to wait for things to come after a few weeks, so I pay extra at places like Cat Socrates
  2. Yah! Totally deflated cuz my mom likes to sit on it. Still as comfortable as it used to be, just not as nice looking Hahaha.
  3. I got it from Cat Socrates. But I think they order a lot from Taobao, so if you order from there yourself, you can try that!
  4. Photoshoot over! This group spent way longer than Home and Decor folks, and featured more of our lifestyle and knick knacks. I somehow find that more attractive than the usual featuring of rooms. As usual, they try to get shots of our animals. Who don't always cooperate. Lucky them, our male adult cat was feeling slightly more sporting today My trio Now to enjoy the clean house. Which won't stay clean for long
  5. Spent the past 2 days cleaning the home (haha, the boy did most of it) to prepare for a shoot today. The amount of cleaning (and dust) is amazing I don't even know how people living in landed properties deal with the dust and dirt. I know they mostly hire helpers to clean, but seriously. I do not envy the lives of those who have to clean those houses. Ours is only a tiny maisonette and I'm dying from the dust. On a happier note, while the boy was busy cleaning (I'm horrible, I know), I was adding little touches to the home. I'm getting bored already, and am missing the designing process of renovation Because our corridor is slightly narrower than most, we can't decorate the walkway much. I decided to take to the walls. Let's hope no one from the RC or Town Council comes by to ask us to remove them I hung the posters slightly off-sided. The boy to the rescue Getting knick knacks to decorate the study with. Moving things around on the built-in bookshelf. Many parts of our home go through so many "changes" every few weeks I see so many different renovations going on, and a lot of them have beautiful themes and colors. In comparison, our place is really clean and… bland? I'm starting to wonder if I should have gone with something striking as a feature. But ultimately, I guess I'm glad I went with clean. It really helps when I want to find a clean background for our many items. Oh well, guess I can't have the best of both worlds Time to continue cleaning for the visitors later!
  6. Oh dear. I don't actually know what they're called. Vintage floral lamp shades, maybe? I got mine from Roccoco Kent. But I'm not sure if he has any pieces left by now. Alternatively, you can visit Wonderland at Haji Lane. They have similar floral lamp shades, and much cheaper too
  7. Haha, oops. Maybe I was too eager to round up. But it's coming to 8 months soon! Makan, she's not shy at all! She's a menace. Hahaha
  8. We're enjoying the house (especially having meals/tea on the open balcony). The boys are enjoying their new home (which totally makes my day because we wanted a bigger place for them to play in). We welcomed another member into the family (she's a real cutie, and is getting along exceedingly well with the existing boys). And most of all, I'm really grateful that I now have many places as backdrops for my pictures.
  9. It's been a long while since I last logged into renotalk. I do miss the renovation process! Soon, I'll mess around with the pieces at home to keep things fresh and give myself an excuse to experience the renovation process again. Glad we didn't have too many built-in things! It's been 8 months since the boy and I moved into our first home together. We've settled in nicely and things haven't started falling apart. Some cracks popping up here and there, but I guess that's only normal. The good thing is, our IDs have stayed contactable and they usually come within the week after we inform them of the need to fix a few things. Thumbs up for that! Strangely, I don't seem to be able to share my pictures on Google+ anymore. Renotalk prompts that I can't use that "image extension" in this community. Hmmmm. Anyone knows where else I can load pictures to share? Testing.
  10. Our IDs are Artistroom. You can find out more about them here: http://www.artistroom.com.sg Try emailing or calling them on their office phone first. They're a small ID company and are quite swamped with projects most of the time. PM me if you'd like their mobile
  11. Hello! Sorry I've been absent from renotalk for quite a while I got the box from Typo!
  12. They've gotten quite popular and have a lot of projects at any one time. We didn't have to wait too long before they got back to us, but had to wait a month before they had the first draft of our floorplan ready.
  13. Hey vanessa, Here's a picture of how ours looks like. It isn't flushed with the wall. Hope this helps!
  14. Great way of running the air-con pipes! Bedroom 2's air-con unit looks especially cute, floating mid-wall
  15. Found a cute little biscuit box for the kitchen
  16. Hey juxstapose! We got it from Room of Woods. But I understand from the owners that they were closing a few weeks after we bought our second armchair from them. Think they may be closed by now?
  17. Thank you scrambledeggs for your kind words! Thank you HanafiHansray! colours are quite important to me, so we bought everything with colour combinations in mind Thank you juxtapose!
  18. Hi blackpeace our reno came up to about 95k.
  19. Moving on to the 2nd floor. Our bedroom (with the lounge/study area on the right). Our study/work table. And last but not least, my mom's room. And that's our home!
