    which part of me u are not happy with me again? i am talking abt the kelvin from GPLAn..not from TAU. and i was refering to a tele-conversation 2 months ago. he said he would call me back..but till today there is no call. but neither i was waiting for his call.

    and i was saying...if Kelvin from TAU hasn't call back Stagger , then she shd call back.

    "all the top ID you have approach and not ever one is selected or happy with their service" - what is wrong with not happy with someone who said he will call but not? why is it wrong to be unhappy?? i am using my hardearned money to do renovation. its my hardearned 12 - 13K. it may seems little to u. what is wrong with ID bring u to showflat...but it is as good as its never. i had experience an ID who bring me to a showflat with kitchen cabinet built by the developer....when i am going to do a kitchen cabinet. will u be happy if u are me?

    "everyone got a budget is correct but you are too much for all your request.you" - excuse me...what have i demanded in the first place? have i demanded a 3D drawing before paying down payment? i never even demand TAU to treat me to a meal of lunch or dinner. have i ever demanded to do a palace with 12K?

    u din even listen to my side of story and start attacking me again....come on...are u a TAU in disguise? if so...just graciously admit. We won't mind having a TAU member answering queries.....Scolling back the previous pages..u seems to start attacking ppl who have the slightest negative comment.

    if i had no intention of doing renovation with TAU, i wouldn't have visited TAU for 3 times plus 1 time for showflat.

    i think before u shoot people again...think. u might give ppl negative feeling abt TAU. so if u realli cared abt TAU...think before u shoot.

    Fyi, i've also been to Ho Bee, G plan, Ernest, Impress21 design & Build, Ideal House, U- home, ciseern, *****.

    With a budget of 40-50k, suprised that none got back to me efficiently nor with passion.

    Meet so many ppl all over singapore very tiring and waiting for quotation that never came, or came without things like estimated carpentry, etc, etc.

    Lucky i do my homework before getting keys.

    Chanced upon this thread (you'll realise i'm not the author of this thread thou i seem slike:rofl:) and kpo go call them. One thing lead to another.

    In the end my reno went down all the way to 25k from the intial as my place was small and suggestion to REDUCE carpentry was given by Kelvin and i skipped the WIW idea as well.

    Tt saved me almost 15k easily.

    Along the way, wanted little things here and there like mirrors, marble latch for toiletires, etc... cox itchy backside and total bill was 28k, thou i budgeted for more.

    Was it expensive? I'm not sure. It did'nt felt like cause suprisingly i had fun renovating my place thou i read so much about ppl saying renovation very headache or when ppl ask what i'm doing and i say reno-ing my place, they'll go "aghh....veri ma fan right?"

    Open house, ppl ask how much and when i told them, they said it seemd like it cost so much more.

    Tt made me a delighted home owner. Even my own father was impressed and got them to re-do my room cause my sister will be takign over my room. Only cost 2k for little things done here and there, but they did it, and they did it well.

    I've intro some personal friends to them as well. Some say they are exp. I see their quote, i admit it's more expensive compared to mine, mayb 5-10%. Similarly i said, compare and decide. My role was only to offer another avenue.

    My reason for this lengthy essay is very simple - to share my life experience as a first owner. I even haf a blog dedicated to this whole process. Having gone through such a positive experience, i cant help it but be convicted in helping out in this thread, to new home owners or anyone who wants advice.

    I think i'm a person who like to share, dun mind telling you i'm also active in other forums and also am a moderator. Too much time online? Maybe.....but i use my mobile to surf while outside cox you can call me addicted to forums :rofl:

    Hence i hope all the squabbling can be put behind. I think the point is made.

    Just to share my feeling

    I can understand ur fear....becos this is wat I face too when Uncle Winson quoted me. (1st reno, too may quotations, comparation n etc, will lead to confusion). I choose to stick with him and finish the whole reno process....hahaha :dunno: "bo bian" I click with him better than the rest I have met.

    In the end, I am a happy customer of Tau Interior :notti:

    Most imptly, u must feel comfortable la...no use hearing this n that. Renovation is a very headache process if u cannot communicate with ur contractor.

    Must constantly go up and check. Once you miss certain step....defect will only show in time to come after warranty finish.

    Btw, has Tau gone down to take actual measurement? Bcox for my case, after actual measurement, cost went down by about 10%, but of course i itchy backside go do more stuff i did not think of initially.

    i din go there to get the cheapest quotation......just that i am not very happy with the way i am being served. and the quotation is very grey.

    Light point and install light. $45.00 EACH

    Firstly, think there's no need to highlight the name of the company in such a manner. I personally feel it's childish. And for the record, Ernest service was bad to me. I think at times, service is pretty subjective. The ID not in good mood or bz, anyhow serve you. I take it with a pinch of salt and move on. Period.

    To me, it's clear than for 1600, you'll get your L-box and false ceiling. Although not mentioned, it includes cutting the hole for your spotlight/downlight.

    To install any lights into the ceiling that you purchase, it'll cost $45.

    Please understand not everyone uses oxford english like you do. Sometimes words are mis-intepreted.

    If in doubt, ask and clarify.

    My last point is, sometimes too cheap....you not worried?

    I believe today, generally ppl do not want cheap. They want value for money.

    Yah, FFX's story just hooked me when I played.

    Hee.. speaking about aeons, I heard that FF XIII is coming out some time this year. And some of the aeons will be featured as well. Really looking forward to it. Just hope that I'll have time to play when it comes out! :P

    Me no kids yet find time hard to squeeze to play game u still can play rpg? :good:

    Anyway hold my wii purchase back first. Heard generation 2 coming up.

    WAHH I also prefer PS2 and love FF also! :) but the last time I played console games was long long time ago... so now I just play DOTA on computer occasionally. Not much time for other things...

    Well i have'nt touched PS2 for th elongest time. Dun even have a console in my house now, but planning for one now.

    Most of the time other then work, weekends is burnt with wedding photography, a passion & to supplement alittle milk money :rofl:

    God of war is cool but i guess FFX still remains my fav, with blitzball and the aeons coming up :dancingqueen:

    The game's called Cooking Mama and it has 3 versions i think.

    The most popular one is "Cookoff".

    I'm planning to get it soon, wanna group buy? :rofl:

    But i'm gettin a mod set from a reputable seller as recommended in other forums.

    So far the fun games are like wii sports, wii fit, super smash bros brawl, ravin rabbids, etc....

    Wah.. So sweet. Hehehe.. I'm sure she'll love it. And it's fun to play with lots of pple.

    For mi, I'm wondering if we should get an extra controller for our PS3 or buy xbox. I love RPG games, and think xbox got more RPG games than PS3.

    The last i played was FFX.....super solid graphic and was so addicted to it back then :rofl:

    Wife more into fun, no frills games so wii console kinda suits her best.

    Ask her thoink and use the controller D-pad, turns her off :rofl:

    That time ask her play grand theft auto she also dun like, thou it's like one of the most fun games then.

    The only xbox game i know is doom or soemthing like tt. Cause my brother in-law always wan me to play with him wen i visit my in-laws. He knows i dunno how to play...jux wanna kik my arse :rofl:

    Hi Dr.Evil,

    I agreed wif wat CareBnet had said. Tau was not the cheapest quotation we had got during our research. But we are impressed wif their service workmanship quality and they professionalism thus we chosen them in the end. We paid for the quality and services. Even till now when our reno is already completed and handed over since end Sept 2008, they still called us once a while to check it out.

    Decision is still ur, u will be the person liaising wif the contractor during the whole reno process thus u must be comfortable wif them. If u wan u can ask Tau to bring u to their on hand projects or even to those completed projects. See the work for yourself then decide.

    They jack up overall price another 15% and give you free gift, you want?

    Renovation process got headache. After completion move in for a month then you'll slowly see if any more minor stuff to rectify. You call, they'll respond. I'm sure you've read around where others has issues with slow after sales service and response.

    Cheapest in town i'm not sure but value for money, this i'm sure Tau can deliver.

    kelvin & Winson has been a great family friend now, i never find them they will also call and ask "eh towkay, everythign ok anot?" This kind of contractor where to find? :rofl:

    If you wanna see my place (6months old plus now), tell Kelvin to arrange with me. Tell him Jordan's place.

    Haha, yah, even sg also surprisingly cold for the last couple of weeks. But think the warmer temps are coming soon liao. So enjoy the coolness while it lasts. :P

    On a separate note, I think my preference for hot hot bath water made my instant water heater fuse spoil afew times liao! :P I always turn it to the hottest, until the heat dial can't turn anymore. Not sure if it's true or if my hb's just teasing me. My heater is just about 5yrs old, but the fuse burnt afew times liao. :P The last time the fuse gave out on me was when the heat dial was at the hottest as well. *imagine :bath: halfway and the water turned cold suddenli..* Each time, my FIL gota change the fuse in the socket. :P

    The exact same water heater used by my PILs, so far no such problem. :P

    So if this is true.. Don't over-heat ur water heaters like me k? :P

    Well mine is a water tank not instant so hopefully dun haf such issues.

    Now shopping for a Wii......my wife kinda enjoys it so much during CNY visitation that i think i'm gonna get her a set for V-day :rofl:

    same to you and everyone here. :sport-smiley-003: so long didnt log in here, cos have to work for preformance. facing recession soon . :deal::deal: my friend's house have take over from tau id. so far so good, can met their timing and very happy with their work.other more to go, haha , my relative just get the key at tampines the new estate where is built by private development. very small the house le.uncle winson is serving them, my uncle have sign up with tau id during the first meet up. shock me, so fast.but anyway tau id really bring out their confident to their client. shzzzzz... uncle winson just ask kelvin to send me bak kuw and a box of mandarin orange.heee .. hee.

    Yes recession is hitting hard. PSA is my customer and as i travel ports in Asia pacific, you can see visually a slow down, which is scary. Can imagine the chain effect it has.

    2008 has been a rough year for me for those who know my story. May 2009 be a good one!

    My bf also in china one and when I visited him the same thing happened to me. must slather on a lot of moisturizer!!

    I just got back from China and BKK and suprisingly cold, did'nt bring the correct clothing.

    China was like 10 degrees at night and when wind blows, my face so numb.

    Afterwhich i went to BKK and it was suprisingly cooling in the day, cox the impression i had was hot and sweaty. Night time also saw ppl wearing jackets. It was fine for me, guess thai's dun like the cold :rofl:
