    Hi everyone,

    wow, was surprised to see the very long and active discussion on tau ID. Seems like many people here are happy customers of Tau. I'm thinking of engaging them too. Do Gabriel and Kelvin go with you all to buy accessories as well? And how are their designs? a totally newbie to this, so need advice. Thank you in advance!

    Why suprise? Good things goes a long way :D

    For me, they went to shop with me:

    1) Twice to the tile shop

    2) One full day for my sanitary fittings and lightings

    3) Countless trips to my place for final decisions :D

    this is my first post on renotalk, just registered myself, after reading and surfing through the forum for the past 2 weeks... spent a few days to read through the whole thread, incl the reno blog by Zc31... just want to make sure that the posts are genuine, as i came across some posts in other thread that seems there are ID disguise as forummer for self-advertise :o

    have since contacted Tao design and met kelvin at tampines... still reviewing his quotation... a bit on the high side on some items but i believe there is room for negotiation... have a few IDs on my list now - innerview, edgeline and kass design... hopefully can finalise the selection by end of this month :)

    Haha rest assure i'm a owner, not someone in disguise.

    Anyway who's staying at Bukit Batok 395 area soon? Last evening Kelvin call say want bring someone up to my place can anot but i was out...so did'nt.

    It's better if you can state per foot run or per meter sq to better compare your prices.

    I never liked firms wher ei have to pay first ot see drawings. That way my money is stuck.

    If i don't like the design/serivce/attitude, how?

    Never put yourself in a compromising situation, something i learnt the hard way.

    Don't give face just because it's a family friend. On the contary, the ID should give more discount and better service, not sharpen his freaking knife!

    If you ask your gynae, the answer would be no... But I think spicy food not good for morning sickness, makes it worse by churning the stomach...and imagine if throw up...wah...spicy puke!!!!

    Lots of preggies have heightened sense of taste, and may be partial to certain foods...but having to avoid salty foods, I never read before...

    Cold water...old wive's tale lah... ppl say make womb weak, make bb cold etc hor? My sis could only drink cold cold drinks during her preggieness, and now she got a gorgeous 1 1/2 mth old daughter! :P:P:P

    Hehe i can only pray for one before i start listing out the can and cannot eat stuff :D

    Btw, any female gynae in the west that delivers in MAH that you peeps know of? ;)

    Take a chance to go holiday and relax, de-stress urself with ur wifey.

    Higher chances in a romantic mood, but the timing must also plan lor.

    Last month on the last day aunty came again....make us hopeful for nothing.

    Now this week is result time. Pray for no aunty :D

    Yes we're going for a holiday in june.

    But kinda worried also cox if she gets pregnant early, not sure if there'll be issues travelling within the first trimester as read in forums.

    Yes it is the prime time, we were also party animal in the past, smoke/drink like no tomorrow. Have my first child at age 30, wife was 29.

    Good for your to quit smoking, i'm still smoking, when need be, trying to smoke less 2 times a week.

    Are u and partner > 30 or < 30?

    Age plays a major part in making babies, once you cross 30 everything inside go down hill, female cannot ovulate even with aunty coming regularly every month, male's close brother cannot produce strong bullet all weak and half dead, making things worst work stress lah, junk food we take lah, smoking lah, drinking lah etc. Weigh also, fatter people is 3 times harder, so best way is to keep your diet in check and also keep fit, go gym go jogging etc.

    The above my wife gyne said one not me hor.

    Next thing, very important, if the one up there don't give, do everything also useless.

    I have many friends, heavy smokers heavy drinkers father 2 kids.

    Yes...smokers and clubbers haf healthy kids and couples who have "decent" lifestyle cannot TTC.

    Strange but true.

    I have recently quitted smoking this yr and hope to keep it tt way. I'm 29 yr end and my wife is 27 come july.

    I believe now is prime time. Hope above give blessing.

    I emailed my floor plan to Tau yesterday morning but still no any reply until now leh...

    And if I already have ideas on the theme and design, will Tau still do for us the construction? meaning that only charge us the construction fee, but not the design fee.

    Folic acid you can also eat, easier to buy multivite that contains zinc and folic, so won't forget to take lah...

    My wife has this 400mg folic acid or something from GNC. I'll wack tt :dribble:

    Anyway, this week if her "aunty" dun visit....go chance liao :rofl:

    Was just thinking, is'nt it funny tt last time dun wish to pregnant and never take much precaution then now taking so much measure to TTC. :rofl:

    I'm not too sure about food per se, but I've read and been told that vitaminE with selenium aides in fertility. That can be found in GNC.

    Exercise like yoga and pilates is also good when there is focus in the core (stomach),and pelvic muscles.

    Foods which are high in antioxidants like berries, kiwis, broccoli, celery, etc, should be eaten regularly.

    Soy-based products should be avoided as it has been reported to affect fertility for both men and women.

    Eat more fish like salmon for its high omega3 properties.

    Start taking folic acid daily (400gm at least), hubby and wifey.

    Men should take Zinc, folic acid, or vitamins that contain those.

    Cut down on coffee/caffeine, at least not more than 04cups per day, hubby and wifey.

    Ultimately, timing is also important lah! :notti:

    My and wife now drinking alot of milk and soy leh... i did'nt know must abstain from that.

    Will start on yoga now with wii fit hehe.

    Err for the folic acide portion, wife is taking from GNC 400mg, can i eat also? Btw, all along i tot folic acide is for female. :o

    been on this thread for quite some time, just din make any noise while i m making my decision.

    to be fair, they are not the cheapest, did not respond the fastest, and did make some errors here and there.

    i do not have a big budget, in fact in order to engage them, i actually have to fork out another few k to top up my reno loan.

    but know wat, since they ve started reno till now, i only been there once, which is yesterday. wen most of the ground works done... i wouldn't even be there if i don't ve to confirm my power points. cos i m now staying in e east, n my new place is in e west...

    kelvin offered to bring me to some units, but i declined. i never believe in such things. cos no contractor will bring a customer to somewhere they ve done badly.

    trust your decision, and bear the outcome be it better or worse. little errors here n there are inevitable, as long as it's nothing major.

    i enjoyed my fuss-free reno (kelvin mms me the pix of my place... i leave to him to decide on things i cant decide on), received sincere advice (wat to do, wat not to do, wat cant do, wat not worth to do...), value-added services (got some stuff free here n there...), etc...

    no matter how much squabbling in this forum doesnt help in decision making, neither help in the quality of end product. i like forums, with or without IDs in disguise, it's a place with many voices. just read through everything, n make ya own judgement whether to believe or not.

    so whoever, no point making unnecessary explanations. just make your decision, be it good or bad. if you dont try, you will nv know. just be responsible of ya decision.

    I haf a short story to share today. My wife's colleague did'nt choose Tau because their quote was ard 8k more exp. However the ID they chose final bill during the whole process was slightly more then the final quote of Tau. So many hidden cost. To add on, after handing over, every weekend got ppl come over to touch up till they sian.

    Frankly i was suprised when my wife told me Tau more exp. I just said trust your decision.

    I'm glad i trusted my decision.
