    Haha cox he own me lunch for a long time liao.....so dinner instead lor.

    But primarily cox my light switch led blew so he's coming to rectify it for me. For thos who seen my house light switch before will know what i mean.

    So in a way, he's giving me good after sale service.

    But it's more like a friend now, cox we also both love cars :notti:

    Hi Guys

    If you are interested in engaging Tau, it is better for you to meet up with them for a better quote. I have received alot of quotation from diff contractor including Tau...Well! prices is almost the same for all (high and low somewhere here n there) and I nearly drop them. Lucky I went down to their showroom @ Tampines and meet up with Uncle Winson. Reason I choose Tau becos I really "click" with Uncle Winson...he will advise you things that u need to do and what u can don't do first if you have a budget. He also advise me not to change bathroom wall tiles when he saw the wall tiles well maintained. Most importantly, you must feel comfortable when dealing with your contractor.     BUT HOR he never bring me to "bak kut teh" :( Hahahaha

    Bridal shots - Can just take up photography package. Cost less then 2k.

    AD dinner can just buy a simple dress from city plaza and call it a day. PG engage seperately. Mine was very westernised and i opted for this style, saved quite a bit without compromising the pictures. In fact i preferred finding my own PG then using studio's.

    For dinner, frankly if lose right, onli a few thousand, usually won't go more then 5k so don't worry so much on how many tables.

    Choosing who you invite also very important. Am sure you've read around to knwo what i mean.

    There will never be a point in life where $ is sufficient. We just have to maximise what we have.

    yes , before and after works serivce is very professional and responsilbe,some of price might be at the high side, but really worth paying, cos they give us good in return. actually some time you can see whatever you are paying for is market price and good material.

    choice is yours

    Anyway just a quick update of another satisfied customer.

    For some reason, the "white cement" behind suspended TV console seems to have hair line crack. This cement is similar to what you'll see to the edges of most furniture like kitchen cabinets, cupboards, etc that seals the gap between the wall and furniture. I think you all know what i meant.

    Well anyway, being a first time owner, i called Kelvin who's like a buddy to me now and told him about it and i said is my console going to snap?

    He laugh and said no la it's supported by beams inside that i cant see, the cement only a sealeant kinda thing. :rofl:

    He said no problem, and arranged the carpenter to come over next day at my convenience. From the TV console, he went to touch up my ENTIRE HOUSE which has the white cement thingy. :jawdrop:

    Now that's service. :thumbs up:

    Oh and you know recently there's this tv show "Makan places lost and found" by Gurmit and Michelle?

    Last week episode featured the Leong Kee Bah Ku Teh ..... Winson brought me and wife there to eat :thumbs up:

    Anyway they're going to shift to Lor 11 for those who like it and been there before. :sport-smiley-004:

    So far how was your reno process? Carpentary work now? Recommendation and opinions is only for consideration, most impt you have to be comfortable and satisfied abt their work when u are dealing wif them. Glad that you are happy wif Tau's work :dancingqueen:

    So sad to hear abt ur fren's encounter during her reno.... Guess that is the so called hidden cost that some company will imposed after u signed up. :bangwall:

    Agreed with CareBnet. It all really depend how you determine if it is high or reasonable... To us, is the quality and services that is more impt. If you source for some whose prices is cheaper but their after services is like :bangwall: then wat is the point. We should be paying for the quality and services and enjoy thru out our reno and not be :furious: and complaining on how bad the workmanship and quality is...

    My 2 cents worth...

    Tau to me is like "pay peanuts, dun get monkey" :rofl:

    well, photography is really an interest.

    some ppl say it's crazy to spend 2k on a lens....but once you understand it, you'll save for it :notti:

    if you hubby wanna start small, can go for 2nd hand. there's good 2nd hand stuff sold in CS forum :yamseng:

    but if he's pretty green to it, try reading books on fundamentals.

    bcox if u own a dslr and always use auto to shoot, defeats the purpose right :rofl:

    Hmm...it really depends on what you need/how far you think this interest will bring you.

    I"m getting quite serious into it, so bought my own set.

    Previously i was playing with my friend's 400D so see my own interest.

    Currently i'm using 40D body.

    This shot was taken with a EF-S 55-200. Cheap lens onli....budget now :bangwall:
